Baby by the Numbers

Rate this book
Andrea’s not ready to give up hope on finding the right one. She doesn't trust herself to spot him, but she won't quit looking. When the police are called again because Andrea's boyfriend decided to put his hands on her, her best friend also shows up to take her home with him.

Chase has always been there, even if he's kind of a loser too. Her friend might be a middle school math teacher, but he can charm any woman into bed. All he dates are model types, unlike the pleasingly plump Andrea.

Andrea and Chase have never denied the attraction they felt between them, but they never went beyond intimate kissing. One night together leaves Andrea pregnant, and she’s not sure who the daddy is. Chase claims her baby as his, but what happens when her ex starts making threats?

Best friends falling in love are one of my favorite romantic couples. Chase has always been there for Andrea through all of her broken relationships. He even took an ass whooping to protect her from one of her exes. He was Andrea's rock, but he wanted more. Andrea was so afraid of a relationship because Chase was all she had and she didn't want to ruin their friendship. Chase did everything in his power to prove to Andrea that they could become more. Even when the baby she was carrying could possibly be her exe's, he stood by her side and claimed the baby as his. He was an honorable character with flaws. He wasn't the most handsome or the most muscular man, but he was Andrea's everything. Short read, but a good one.

I got this book via Kindle Unlimited and its my second book by this author.

Andrea and Chase's story. Well you would think that Andrea would have learned her lesson after the first boyfriend laid his hands on her but she just keeps on choosing the wrong kind of man. She has a best friend who is always there to pick up the pieces of her bad choices. How she could not see that this man was into her, I just don't know.

The couple is likable and it was good short story which I enjoyed reading.

Fun, fulfilling, short read. I love stories where friends become more, and recognize what's been there all along. Drea has had a long list of exes who did her wrong, but through it all , her best friend Chase has been by her side. Charming, down to earthy, and sexy in a nerdy way, CHase stole my heart. I adored him, and rooted for their pairing this entire book. If you're looking for something short sweet, and sexy this is the perfect read for you.

Wonderful

This was a really good book. There were a few mistakes in there that a proof reader should have caught but other than that the book was superstar & I would recommend it to any mature adult.

Did I read the same book? As I read over the reviews, I find my self double checking just to be sure. This book was horrible. Well, I can't say that with a conscious heart, it did have some qualities that I can definitely appreciate. In a time when good editing and spell checking are hard to come by in the world of Interracial Romance, this book had it. You can tell the author really looked over her finished product before releasing it, and for that I am grateful. This novel even had a strong plot that remained in tact throughout.

I actually, wanted to rate this with 1 star but after writing the above, I realized that a 1 star rating wouldn't be fair. Just because I hated one of the characters, doesn't mean the book sucked entirely. With that being said, the female in this book was straight stupid. I was in an abusive relationship, so I think I have the right to say I don't know any one who would put themselves through that drama constantly. Like, every single boyfriend, constantly. GTFOH. I mean, what city has a ratio of that many losers and abusers to one girl.

The other thing I hated about this female, her treatment towards the Hero. She looked at this dude like he was the biggest scrub on this earth just because he was a teacher and didn't bring home billions. It seemed as if she was looking down on him just because he wasn't on the Forbes list. Never mind the fact that he has been there to pick her up, literally, after every failed relationship or surprise beat down.

It seems the author really went out of her way to make the Hero look as average as possible. From his bad body to his "small" salary. I get it, teachers don't make much money, but surely they can afford silverware and glass plates. I like romance novels for the fantasy of Prince Rich & Sexy Charming or Prince Rough & Tough Charming sweeping the damsel off her feet. And it doesn't have to be completely out of this world either. It can be realistic, but don't make the guy be flat out pathetic. I just couldn't deal after a while and I had to chuck the deuces on this one. Did Not Finish.

Eventually, I was like...

Ok read

Chase is Andrea best friend. He is there to pick up the pieces each time she is physically assaulted by her boyfriend. She is there for all of his break up. Her last boyfriend assaults her and she stays with Chase while awaiting the arrest of her latest. One thing leads to another and they end up having sex. Now she is pregnant and not sure who the baby father is. Problem she needs therapy, she continued to pick boyfriend's who hit her and often didn't press charges against them. The author also treated this a bit lightly. How did he get out of jail so quickly and was able to show up and consistently harass her and Chase, including threatening to take custody of the child. Restraining order people. There was no follow up on the author part concerning the assault. This is offensive. Too many women suffer from battered women syndrome to skim or treat lightly this issue. Also why is Chase handing out prescription pain pills. Shouldn't she have seen a doctor his prescription could have been the wrong dosage for her. Ugh....Chase character is likeable enough. I enjoyed that they both had real careers and indicated they had a budget to live within. On the whole it was an OK read.

Lovers and Friends

I have always loved a story where the friendship between the characters turns to love. Andrea and Chase are not exception being friends for 7 years they have seen the worst and best of one another. After a particular bad relationship has left Andrea broken, Chase is there to comfort her. Giving into their passion, leads to a baby. What comes next, knocks Andrea off her feet.
An Awesome read that has me sleep deprived today but worth it!

This is the second book I read by Teona Bell. I'm sorry to say but I couldn't really enjoy or finish this story because the kindle copy I purchased has too many errors for me & I'm going to refund this book.

Fun story

Pretty good read but very simplistic. Characters were very typical and seemed almost stock characters. The villain, her ex was almost laughable and not very interesting.
