This was a super quick read that somehow I missed with the anthology it was originally published in. Lucky for me, she released it separately!
I am a huge fan of stories that feature a little sister falling for her older brother's best friend. Shameless brings us just that story. A quick family vacation sets the scene for Meredith and Cameron's story. After overhearing Cameron being intimate, Meredith has had enough of waiting. She's finally ready to make her move, even if Cameron needs to be nudged (just a little).
This was short & steamy. A perfect read for me at a time when life is just too busy to get lost in a book that will take hours to read. I have been a fan of Cherrie Lynn's writing for some time and her Ross Siblings Series has some of my favorite character (and scenes) of all time. The same steady style carried through this novella along with packing in enough story with the sexy-times to balance it out perfectly.

4 “Kid” “…it wasn’t even the same fucking sport.” Kisses
Cherrie Cherrie Cherrie …now that’s how you write a novella. Damn! It started off with some steam, pulled me in with emotion and angst, more than satisfied me with some sinfully delicious sex and then finished me off with a wonderful HEA. I loved it. I originally read Shameless as part of the Some Like It Hot Anthology and it completely blew me away! It had everything I look for in a full length novel, just condensed…and it worked brilliantly for me.
Meredith Taylor and Cameron Moore…the little sister and the brothers best friend – it’s a story that has been told before but I could listen to it time and time again. I love the tension, the withholding of feelings, the fear of rejection, wondering if he’ll ever stop seeing her as a ‘kid’…there isn’t a whole lot about it that I don’t love…and Cherrie wrote Meri and Cam brilliantly. I loved them both…even with the way it starts off and what brings them together – usually that’s not my style, but…for whatever reason, I liked it.
I really can’t get over how much I loved this novella...I think it had a lot to do with Meri because I did connect a lot with her. The story is told from both Cam and Meredith’s POV’s, alternating chapters, but it was good…it worked. Of course I adored every delicious inch of Cam…and I couldn’t get over his feelings for Meredith…*sigh*…it just made him that much more perfect. And Good God the two of them were blissfully sexy…addictively passionate…mouthwateringly sensual…I was in lust with the two of them. All that pent up time and longing did them good IMO…they set the pages on fire! (and I loved it!)
Shameless was hot, sexy and packed a punch – a quick little story to set your kindle on fire, melt your heart (and your panties) and leave a satisfied little book worm in its wake. Perfect!

Cherrie Lynn knows how to pack a whole lot of romance and a ton of heat into just a few pages. Shameless was a steamy, quick read about the events that take place after Meredith Taylor overhears her lifelong crush, Cam, doing the deed with a nameless chick on the balcony above hers while they're away on a friendly vacation. The clincher, though, is that Cam is not just the guy Meredith has crushed on for years, but he also happens to be her brother's best friend.
Packed with yummy angst and steamy attraction, this story offers up that painful tug of the heartstrings that comes with the pain of hearing the guy you long for give the business to someone else. But that brutal heartache is quickly followed by the steamy heat that comes along with Meredith takes matters into her own hands. Literally.
Fast, fun, steamy and romantic, Shameless is a delicious little nugget from one of my favorite authors! I devoured it.

This novella was originally published in the Some Like It Hot anthology a few years ago, and I don't know how I missed it, as I usually devour everything Ms Lynn writes at time of release.
This story starts with a bang and gets hotter and cuter and sweeter with every page.
I am a fan of the "brother's best friend is off limits" story, and Ms Lynn has given us it all in such a short story. Starts with steam, gives us emotions, and sends us on our merry way with a HEA that left me smiling.
Shameless is just what I needed after reading a string of crime books.
If you have a spare hour or so and what a hot, sexy read, give Shameless a go.

This is a very brief story, but it still has a nice simple story arc.
Merri has had a crush on her older brother's bff since she was 14. Actually, he has had a crush on her too. But they were both too scared to take that step towards each other. The catalyst happens for Merri when she overhears Cam having sex with a hookup from the local bar on the balcony above her. She realizes that if he finds someone else to care for, it will be too late. Over the years she has seen him with others and he has seen her with others.
This worked for me but (safety meh)
Merri was crushed when she found that the couple she had been listening to having sex was actually Cam with an OW. She hides her knowledge of the ONS from Cam until the end of the story. Instead she makes her moves and is very up front about it. Cam is taken aback at first but soon they are getting serious and sexy.
The whole story is over only a few days. Cam actually grovels really well about the ONS throughout the story, but especially when he finds out that she knows.
Overall it was a sweet read and if not for my quibble in the spoiler, and her asshat brother's BS revelation at the end, I would have given it 5 stars.
The title I think is a play on his feeling quite shamed that the h heard him schtupping an OW, but not feeling shame when he and the h get together.

Not a bad story. Meredith is on vacation with friends and she hears someone on the balcony above her having sex and it makes her hot. She then realizes it is her brother's best friend, Cameron, who she's had a crush on forever. She realizes that she doesn't want to lose him to someone else so the next day she basically throws herself at him and that is the start of their sexual relationship.
Not a bad story, but I kinda wished that Cam was not as much of a horndog as he was and that Meredith would've given him a little more grief than she did instead of pursuing him like she had done. And what was the deal with her brother Dane?

I’ve been a lover of Cherrie Lynn’s work for years, so I read Shameless when it was originally published in an anthology but now that it is out in the wild on its own, I felt the need to review it. Here’s the thing, there are incidents in this story that will pi$$ some people off or cause them to make judgments on the hero and heroine, but in reality that’s not anyone’s business but theirs. I liked this story of a woman finally deciding to go after her brother’s best friend after realizing that if she didn’t he might wind up with someone else. Was the timing perhaps a bit off? Sure, but I admired her for not letting that get in her way. There was no doubt these two were hot for one another and they made sure to act on it. I genuinely liked both of these characters, but I wanted more. I wanted to know more about their lives both now and when they were younger, I wanted to see them date, and see past the want and lust the fueled them in this story but even wanting all of that I still very much enjoyed reading this hot and sexy story. So while this might not be what I normally expect from this author, Shameless was still worth the read and highly enjoyable.

A quick, fun and easy read that is perfect for the beach! Meredith is on vacation with her brother, his girlfriend, her best friend and her brothers long time best friend Cameron, the man she's been crushing on since she was 8. They head to the beach and rent a condo there.
Meri has insomnia and is awake at 2 am so grabs a beer and parks herself on the balcony. She starts to overhear a couple in the middle of some pretty steamy sex and Meri decides to listen.... fully. She hears both the man and woman and isn't until the end she gets the surprise and heartbreak of her life.
It's Cameron. When she tells her bestie the next morning, the best friend says she should just put herself out there with Cameron and be honest. They're adults now, not teenagers. She's concerned he's going to blow her off and treat her like a kid sister. Not so good for the ego. Or worse, maybe he's got someone else. Cameron can't get Meredith off his mind, blinding drunk last night he brings some girl home and not even realizing she's still there the next morning. It's noon. Meri has always gotten everyone up long before then and planned the day. He's hungover on top of it. Grateful his best friend and girlfriend aren't there, he shags his one nighter out the door only to have her run into them coming in. He's not happy. He's got a thing for Meri and has for a long time, but how will that effect his relationship with her brother? He's never been willing to risk it. Meri always tries to ignore him, her way of dealing with the attraction she feels. When she tells him how she feels and wants him to take her out on a date, he agrees. Telling her brother they're going to hang out. By the end of the night he knows how she feels. He's not quite as forthcoming, but he's getting there. How the rest of the story unfolds is great and these two have real chemistry. Jumping in the water to cool off sounded like a great idea after reading that. I really like this, it's a happy read, low angst and no drama. My kind of read. Loved Meri and Cameron.

This reads more like a short story... I really can't even call it a novella, it's just SO short. It really has the potential to be a great book, but since it's SO short it moves really fast. The entire story takes place over the span of about 2-3 days while Meri and Cameron are on vacation with their friends/family. Since it's so short there really isn't any time to give to the side characters, who seem like they'd have been pretty awesome if there was more, you know, time. That being said, for what there was the writing was AWESOME. There is so much potential there to be a great full length novel, and I just wanted MORE of this book, MORE Meri and Cam. Their chemistry is great, the sex scenes are EXPLOSIVE, and they have a lot of really cute moments in addition to the brain melting ones. My main gripe is really that it's just too dang short, which really is a sort of backhanded compliment in a way? I was not fully prepared for this to be a short story and had gone in expected a full length best friend's sister / big brother's best friend romance, so was a little blind-sided by the rather wham-bam-thank you ma'am pace of this one. That being said, I loved it, now GIVE ME MORE, DAMMIT.

*sigh* I have no idea what I just read and I don't know what to say about it.... no, wait, I do .... What I just read is not the Cherrie Lynn that blew me away with her Ross Siblings series AND her Larson Brothers series. So of course I did a little digging and it didn't help. I was hoping maybe this was a re-issue of a really early in her career publication but from what I can dig, no.
.... You guys ... what the what?! I know this is a short so I didn't expect a lot of exploration into their relationship etc etc etc BUT if you're going to write JUST a short, you'd better not add scenes in your plot that NEED exploration ....

Hot Hot Hot.. omg Can I have sex with Cam?
Meredith's brother's best friend for almost all of her life is beautiful, inside and out. She has wanted him for year's but never has had the guts to approach him. What if she is rejected or worse says no your like my sister? A risk she was never willing to take. Until one night. Unable to sleep one night, Mer sits on the balcony of her room of the rented condo. She hears two people having amazing sex, sex she wished she was having and with Cam. But as she was thinking of screaming Cam's name the girl above does just that. Screams "his" name.
In a fit of fear of losing the only man she's ever loved does she risk it all and reveal her feelings or lose him to the woman who really screamed his name.
For this being such a short book I am amazed. It is hot, sexy and captured every point needed to completed the story.

But as she was thinking of screaming Cam's name the girl above does just that. Screams "his" name.
In a fit of fear of losing the only man she's ever loved does she risk it all and reveal her feelings or lose him to the woman who really screamed his name.
For this being such a short book I am amazed. It is hot, sexy and captured every point needed to completed the story.

Shameless by Cherrie Lynn a four-star read that will make you blush. This was my first read by this author and it won’t be my last as I loved the talent of the writing, the only reason I didn’t give it five-stars was although the story was good, it lacked something there was a missing piece but overall very sweet and hot. Meredith was a great girl, you could imagine sitting there on a balcony as her heart is racing and then broken, having an older brother wit hot friends I have been in the situation Meri finds herself in, not to the extreme thank goodness but I could feel her pain. Cameron is a naughty boy, but he just worries he will lose everything if he goes for what he wants, his best friend and the people who are like his family. The pain and worry they face is palpable as you read. They will make you care and make you want to read on and find out what will happen in the end.

I want to make sure I start this review by saying this is all just my personal feelings on this book and you may read this book and walk away with a completely different experience. I went into to this book only knowing a brief description of the book. I had never read anything by Cherrie Lynn prior to this book, so I really did not know what to expect.
The Story follows Meri a young woman on vacation. It just so happens she is on this vacation with her brother and her brother’s best friend Cameron who she has had this crush on forever. One night she overhears Cameron and another woman getting naughty upstairs. This mixture of jealousy and intrigue pushes her to test those boundaries they had created between them so long ago. What follows is a sizzling read about taking chances, pursuing love, and really just soaking up all things vacation.
As I read this story, I was wishing I could have been on a beach somewhere with a drink in my hand and the sun shining down on me. This was just that kind of book quick, hot, and simply easy. It felt like a surface level read because it never really dove deeper. It did not love how fast it was. One second their friendly and the next it is love, it made it very unbelievable. I think the main strike for me though was the idea that her hearing him with someone else one night, was going to make her want to pursue him. I mean there was no in between time and her brother was just cool about that? No one thinks that is a little weird? If I saw him with one girl one night then pursuing my sister the next I would be saying “Hell No! Get your shit together!” it just seemed too easy. I don’t know.
I feel like this is definitely a mood book. It isn’t life changing and it isn’t a must have on your shelf, but if your ever on the beach with a drink in hand and the sun shining down I could see the appeal. I mean sometimes you just need an easy book that has a shine to it that hasn’t been dimmed by reality. Sometimes it doesn’t get better than that.

A novella right up my alley! I loved it and I loved the characters. It is my first story by this author and I cannot wait to try a full length book by her!
We have the sister falling for her brother’s best friend. We have the said best friend trying to keep both the brother and the sister close, suppressing his desires. Nothing new, but, if done well, it does not bother me at all. It’s a short and beautiful story that made my evening!
I loved how Meri and Cam tried for so long to keep appearances, but most of all I liked his attitude towards her and her brother. Like they say, bros before… the bros’sisters (or something along the lines). There are moments that would bring a smile to your lips and there are moments that will make you swarm with warmth. Best of all, we have a woman who knows what she wants and decides to act on it. It takes some courage to do it, especially knowing the risks. Having both POVs is really helpful as we are able to understand the struggles each character goes through and the battle that goes deep in their hearts.
Now, there is one reason and one only for which I am not fiving the full 5 stars rating and that is because some scenes felt a little too much and a little out of the character’s personality. For example (sorry for being vague, just trying to avoid spoilers), when Meri and Cam find the time to sit together, she does something that seems too bold, too forward. And there is a scene when Cam is apologizing too much and I will stop here. That’s all. These are things that can be overlooked, I may be too picky because I wanted a full story with these two beautiful people.
All in all, this is a novella that will make your evenings warmer and warmer and will give you sweet and (not so) innocent thoughts. I do hope you’ll give it a try and come back with your impressions.

As you do. Instead of breaking her lovelorn heart, the sexy audio turns her on and Meri finally decides to act on her feelings for Cam.
Turns out Cam has long fought his attraction to Meri because of his tight friendship with her older brother, Dane. So what's a guy to do but indulge in one-night stands with women that look like Meri? As you do.
This was a fun, hot story about two people finally giving in to their intense sexual chemistry. But I had a hard time forgetting that Cam was literally with another woman just hours before he is with Meri. To his credit, Cam is embarrassed by it but Meri just blows it off. As you do?
But as a big fan of Cherrie Lynn's Ross siblings, I am here for the building sexual tension and sultry sex scenes. I hope this means the author is coming out with more soon.

Shameless
is a full story in a small and fulfilling package. With an equal balance between sexiness and plot, there is plenty to pull you into their dynamic—he the brother’s best friend and she the off-limits friend’s little sister—and involve you in the implosion of their feelings and the turning point of their decades-long friendship. It was a wonderful short story that had great sexual appeal and enough depth to the main characters for readers to really feel and grasp their connection. And because it’s Cherrie Lynn, I’ll always wish for more of her written word and, if anything, I could’ve read another two-hundred pages of this story and been just as blissfully entranced—if not more so.

The premise of this story is two characters who harbor a crush for one another but don't act on it, primarily because the hero is the best friend of the heroine's older brother. The first chapter describes the hero being intimate with another woman from the POV of the heroine who overhears them. This spurs the heroine into taking action, flirting with the hero the next day until they become intimate... 12 or so hours later? Gross. And to top it off, when the inevitable happens and her brother finds out, he's happy for them. Which would be cool and all, if the brother didn't know perfectly well that the hero had another woman in his bed just that morning.

But they have been apart of each others lives for many, many years, both fighting attraction to the other until a catalyst brings the pair together whilst on vacation.

This novella packed quite the punch with the heat and realization of love. Meredith and Cameron have known each other for a very long time since Cameron is best friends with Meredith's brother. Both had unrequited feelings for the other. I enjoyed Meredith's determination to go for Cameron and she gave him little room go reject her. They fit perfectly together. They had some very hot scenes and sweet ones. And I smiled at her brother's reaction. Sweet story!
