3 nanny textbook⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this author, but this was kind of boring. Another drudgery bites the dust, and the audiobook was not amazing either.

Rocket finds out he has a daughter, when her mother dies.
He hires a nanny, but through the first 60% of the book, he is not really sure if he even wants his daughter! All because he had a bad childhood himself. It was nicely enough done, but tedious to bear witness too.

The new trend of giving MMC’s bad childhoods as an excuse not to handle life well, is misunderstood! Just because they have struggled, doesn’t justify long term indecision or long term bad behavior. It gets old, really fast for me.

The romance was dialed all the way down, because of the serious issues regarding his daughter, but it didn’t catch up.

All in all it could have been a lot more dramatic and there could have been a lot more sexual tension between them.
What I did like was the bones of the story and that the fmc was actually specialized to handle this situation. It rubs me the wrong way, when “the nanny” is literally completely inexperienced in childcare. But it did get very technical.

Also the whole gallery of characters where paraded around too much in an already too long book.

Small spoiler:

The grand parent thing was just too simple and easy. Not enough to be the center of the only drama happening in the story.

Should you read it? No, tomorrow it’s gone from my mind. I barely remember any of their names.

Gavin “Rocket” Caldwell
is a huge rockstar and living that life until one moment changed his life and behavior. Now, trying to balance the rockstar life and becoming a single dad he hires, Willow Adams. She was assigned to help little Poppy re-acclimate to her new life. She was just supposed to help with his daughter but with other complications arise he might lean on her more than just as the help. This will definitely tug at your heartstrings on this beautiful story of new starts in life and realizing what’s important. Oh and the whole band is back too in cameos. A slow burn romance with a rockstar! Told in first person and dual POV.

5 'Whatever it takes' Stars!
ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.

Less than two months ago, K. Bromberg gave us the marvelous love story between Gizmo and Hendrix and their marriage of convenience. Now she is back at it to give us what probably is the last installment of this music-related series. And let me tell you, again, she is not playing! Now it’s time for Rocket to find his happily ever after and it sure comes bearing many surprises!

Sweet Distraction is considered the third installment in Bromberg’s Backstage Pass series and it’s a single dad / nanny romance that will turn Bent’s world upside down. Gavin “Rocket” Caldwell is all about the rockstar life but that is about to change. He is definitely not ready to find out he has a three-year old daughter and now he must take care of her. Enter the adorable Poppy and her nanny, Willow Adams. The appearance of these two in Rocket’s life changes everything. He is not used to women like Willow, he is sure not used to fight for the feelings that keep growing between him and his daughter’s nanny, but with Willow’s help, Poppy becomes the light Gavin needed in his life and he will fight like hell to keep both his girls by his side.

My house feels different. My life’s been altered. And it’s not because I have a new roommate.
It’s because of her.

I keep falling in love with these characters. Kristy has done an amazing job with a series that we never expected to get. She has given beautiful love stories to all the band members and Rocket is no exception. I just love the slow burn and the forbidden aspect that the single dad / nanny romance troupe gives. Rocket and Willow can’t stop the chemistry between them, even though they fight it, but it’s impossible to ignore. Especially when Poppy keeps them together by finally opening up after losing her mommy. I just loved reading how this couple heals their broken parts and how that also helps Poppy too. They are just so adorable together!

“Sometimes the biggest risks lead to the best kind of love.”

Therefore, I am rating Sweet Distraction with 5 STARS because it was the perfect happy ending for this couple and a way to bring the whole Bent world together. I loved this newfound family, how Rocket falls so hard for his girls and how protective he is of both. It was such a beautiful love story, and I am sure the fans of the series will absolutely love it (probably just as much as the other two installments!). So, if you are a fan of K. Bromberg’s work, you love rock star romance and you still haven’t read this series, I highly recommend you do it right now!

Gosh I love the found family in these books. A little group of rockstars and their wives and kids. Willow takes on her job as nanny with the gusto of a mother and shows Rocket that being a father is about more than being the perfect example—it’s about being present and unconditional love. Rocket was raised by a single mother…who was more focused on her boyfriends than her son. It left Rocket as an adult who struggles with love and feeling like enough. I wish we got more insight into his past and that he would have opened up more to Willow. A lot of what we get are his internal flashbacks and him zoning out thinking about the past and I wanted it communicated and worked through. Poppy is the sweetest little girl, her communication being hindered after the loss of her mother was so devastating, but I love how it was handled and I love how she opens up and her small wins are celebrated as she heals and feels safe. Rocket’s custody speech at the end was so good!🥹 I can’t believe we are done with this world!

Thank you to Valentine PR and K Bromberg for this early ARC in exchange for my honest review 🥰

4.5 Sweet Distraction by K. Bromberg was the perfect emotional escape, hitting all the right notes. As the third and final installment in the Backstage Pass series of interconnected standalones, this rock star romance delivers a heartfelt finale that will leave you smiling.

Gavin “Rocket” Caldwell is living the rock star dream—until reality crashes the party in the form of a surprise daughter named Poppy. Suddenly, he’s juggling band life and fatherhood, and leaning on Willow, Poppy’s government-appointed caregiver, to help him figure it all out. But Willow isn’t just helping him with dad duty—she’s slowly melting his heart.
This slow-burn romance is packed with emotion and charm. Watching Rocket fall not just for Willow, but into his new role as a father, was the sweetest distraction.  Great series!

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SPICE : 🌶️🌶️

I love everything and anything that K Bromberg writes. The way this woman writes a flawed MMC that Im absolutely going to fall in love with never ceases to amaze me. Rocket is one of my favorite MMCs I have read by K in a while. And willow, oh my goodness, I loved her entirely too much.

✨ Rockstar Romance
✨ Surprise Child
✨ Single Dad x Nanny
✨ Found Family

So anytime the words "surprise dad" is mentioned, I am feral for it. I love this trope so so much, and when it's single dad x nanny, I am a sucker for it every single time. Every single time.

And this one is no exception.

It's been a minute since I've read a rockstar romance, and my goodness, I think I forgot the how much I love it. Or maybe I just love how much K writes them. Probably both.

When Rocket finds out that he has a daughter and that lost her mother and is now his responsibility, his entire world changes. Poppy is adorable, and this little, scared girl melted my heart. Willow is the nanny assigned to help Poppy and ends up living with brand new dad Roket.

This one is a slow burn and I absolutely loved it. All the little things, the way that all three of them had to get to know each other. The way Willow and Rocket begin to get Poppy to open up and heal, made me love all the little moments so much.

I also loved Willow and Rockets relationship a ton, because she saw him as a man first and a rockstar second, and that is exactly what he needed.

And can we talk about how K writes conflict. Yes, this book has a third act breakup. Yes I ate it up. The way K writes a grovel is absolutely top tier. It was so good.

I need everyone to put this on their TBR and read this. You will love it.

Sweet Distraction completely took me by surprise—in all the best ways. I expected a steamy, fun romance, but what I got was so much deeper: a story full of heart, real emotional growth, and a genuine connection that goes beyond just the central couple.

One of the things I loved most was the bond between the male protagonist and his daughter. Their relationship felt magical—tender, raw, and full of quiet moments that melted my heart. Watching him slowly learn how to love, protect, and truly show up as a father was one of the most beautiful parts of the story.

The setting also added something special. Having him be a keyboardist in a band gave the book a cool, almost cinematic edge. It created this contrast between his chaotic, rockstar lifestyle and the quiet, emotional depth he starts to discover through fatherhood and falling in love.

Character growth is a huge theme in this book, and it’s done so well. I adored watching the protagonist go from emotionally closed-off to completely captivated—not just by the woman, but by the idea of building something real. The slow shift in him, as he lets love in, is just chef’s kiss.

And yes... the steamy scenes? Hot, intense, and full of chemistry. But what really made them shine was the emotional connection underneath it all.

Sweet Distraction is the perfect mix of heat, heart, and healing. It’s a romance that doesn’t just make you swoon—it makes you feel.

my heart can’t take it anymore 😭😭 i think if i read any more books with a single dad and a cute little kid who loves to laugh i will combust from cuteness.

i think k. bromberg did a great job portraying the fear rocket had after finding out he had a 3 year old little girl. he was reasonably terrified of being a father because of how he was raised and he wanted better for poppy, but he just needed time. he ended up being the best father poppy could ask for. and willow was nothing but patient with them, even when rocket was an absolute asshole. he tried everything, and i mean EVERYTHING to push the girls away, because he was in denial but not once did willow believe that rocket couldn’t do it. they’re really cute together and there’s so much love in their little family.

The way I am obsessed with this book! We have Rocket, who is in a rock band. He finds out that he has a 3-year old daughter named Poppy with a woman named Olivia, whom he barely remembers. Olivia and Poppy were involved in a car accident and Olivia passed. In Olivia’s will, she stated that Rocket was Poppy’s father and she wanted her to be with him.

Rocket is now reeling from being single and carefree to being a Dad of a 3-year old. Willow, the Nanny from CPS, agrees to come on and assist with the transition. Rocket and Willow have undeniable chemistry. At first, I was like, “Please don’t be using her.” But, Rocket was genuine.

I love a good K. Bromberg read and as always, we get our happily ever after.

This book had me up in the feels! It was emotional, heart warming, spicy and everything in between. I was excited for Rocket’s story! And his journey is much more than I could have imagined. His life is turned upside down but not in a bad way. But it’s new and unexpected and Rocket has to figure out this new normal. Thankfully Poppy has Willow on her side. Rocket didn’t ask to be a dad and he has to decide how to be one to a toddler. And Poppy is so precious! Willow is there to help Poppy but she soon learns she has to help Rocket too. And the chemistry and ease between them begins to grow. I couldn’t read this book fast enough and yet I didn’t want it to end. I was left with a big ol’ book hangover after this one. Don’t let this book pass you by!

"Whatever it takes."

Sweet Distraction is the third book in the Backstage Pass Series that explores the influence of fame, the value of children, and the significance of effective parenting in an uncomplicated way.
The story centres on Gavin "Rocket" Caldwell, a member of BENT, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, and a man who enjoys a lavish lifestyle devoid of obligations. He discovers he is a father after an old one-night fling. When he gradually falls in love with Willow Adams, his daughter's nanny—a kind, calm, and grounded lady appointed by the CPS to help with the transition—his life is further thrown off balance.

In addition to being a love story between Willow and Rocket, Sweet Distraction centres on Rocket's desire to find permanence in his life. His vulnerabilities and fears initially drove me to doubt him, but his speech and superb gestures towards the end won me over and left me impressed by his resolve to be the partner Willow deserves and the dad Poppy needs.
Kristy's portrayal of Willow and Rocket as being vital to each other's development and healing was superb. I was overcome with emotion because of the wonderful chemistry and authenticity between these two, as well as their unwavering love for Poppy.

Along with its captivating plot, sizzling chemistry, funny banters and cameos from the band's other members, and an adorable little girl named Poppy who is guaranteed to make you say "Awww" and melt your heart, Sweet Distraction sparkles with a sweet and heartwarming premise. An entertaining and thought-provoking novel that celebrates the messiness of relationships and the beauty of embracing life's unpredictability, offering peals of laughter, tears and a timeless message: love.
An excellent novel for enthusiasts of romance who appreciate stories with strong characters.

I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy and am sharing my honest review based on my personal experience. Thank you to Ms. Bromberg and Valentine PR for trusting me to read this book in advance.

Sweet Distraction by K. Bromberg
4/5⭐
2/5🌶️

Rocket is a rockstar who lives life in the spotlight, enjoying all the perks that come with fame—money, adoring fans, women, and more. For the longest time, he's only had to think about himself. That is until his lawyer drops a life-changing surprise: he has a three-year-old daughter named Poppy. Meanwhile, Willow is determined to finish her master's degree, but after losing her job, she finds herself in need of work. With her background as a nanny, she happily accepts a position looking after little Poppy. What she doesn't realize is that her new employer is none other than Rocket, the rockstar, and getting close to him is about to change everything.

Rocket’s childhood wasn’t easy—his father left, and his mother didn’t give him the love he needed. Because of this, he feels out of his depth when it comes to being a dad. In the first part of the story, he tries to keep his distance from Poppy, which was a bit frustrating to see. In the second half, he begins to open up, and those moments he shares with Poppy are so heartwarming and adorable.

Willow is a wonderful character—kind, compassionate, strong, and independent. I loved how she fiercely cares for Poppy, and her relationship with the little girl is so wholesome. Willow plays a big role in helping Rocket see that he can be a good dad, that he is good enough for Poppy. The chemistry between Rocket and Willow is a slow-burn filled with tension. She's different from the women he's used to, and he tries to keep his distance, but of course, that doesn’t last long. I loved how vulnerable Rocket becomes with her, trying to be the best version of himself for both Willow and Poppy.

By the end, I couldn't help but shed a few tears as he fought for his girls. You can feel how deeply he loves them. At first, Rocket thought he had a perfect life on his own, but Willow and Poppy turned everything upside-down in the best way. Their journey together isn't always smooth—there are plenty of ups and downs—but it’s beautiful and touching. These characters are complex and relatable, making their story feel raw and real.

Rock Romance, You Don’t Want to Miss

I am a huge fan of rock romances and this book is one of my favorites. This author wrote this book where I felt everything her characters emoted; from the single rockstar dad to his beautiful little girl, to the woman who is the foundation for this little forming family.

Rocket is the rockstar living the rockstar life in every sense of the word until this sweet little damaged three-year-old ends up in his crazy life. It’s Willow who is there to make the transition go better by being Poppy’s full-time nanny. Now only if Rocket can get his head wrapped around the fact that he has a little girl who needs him especially with everything she has lost. Willow is ever present in his life and doing everything in her power to make the father and daughter relationship work. With a custody battle coming how much will everyone have to give up in order to make this happen.

I have to say that this author writes amazing rock romances and leaves me wanting for more because I can’t enough of her writing these fantastic books. I highly recommend not only this book but the rest in the Backstage Pass series.

Rockstar surprised to learn he's a father

This continuation of the series about the rock band Bent features keyboardist Rocket and his personal journey as he learns to become a father. The perpetual bachelor is surprised to learn that he has a 3 year old daughter, Poppy, when her mother dies in an accident and leaves a letter for Rocket. It's a huge adjustment for this man child to learn to put his daughter first and to overcome his feelings of inadequacy and resentment. He likes his chaotic lifestyle as a rockstar. He's helped along the way by nanny, Willow. A teacher with some experience helping traumatized children, she gives Rocket tough love, telling him that he needs to decide who he is and what he's going to be to his daughter. She's committed to doing everything possible to facilitate a relationship between Poppy and Rocket.

Initially, Rocket is not the most sympathetic character as he resists facing the reality that he's a father. He feels a lot of self-pity that he needs to grow up and help a grieving child. He's forced to come to terms with his feelings when Poppy's maternal grandparents file a custody suit.

Willow is a completely likable character, always putting Poppy first and helping Rocket learn how to be a parent. It's interesting to watch this girl next door intrigue the bad boy with her warm and generous spirit. It's rewarding to see how Rocket, Willow and Poppy come together to create a family.

I'm a huge fan of single dads romance. So when I saw the annotation of Rocket's story, I knew this would be next on my list. Besides, it's rockstar romance in the Bent world. I was excited to continue on with these characters. And even though it's a stand-alone I highly recommend to read the rest in order as some of the other characters appear and you'll have a better understanding of their dynamics and history.

I really enjoyed the story. It was emotional but not overly so. It was a bit predictable in some parts but it was a quick and not overly dramatic read which had it's emotional parts.

I knew Rocket was a softie but we got to see him turn from the ultimate bad boy to the caring dad and the growth in his character was so nice to watch. I loved Willow's character as well. She was a perfect match for the last single Bent boy. I enjoyed their chemistry and although the romance was a bit on the slow-burning side, it was sweet and cute.
Audio version was well done as well. I really enjoyed it.

#Review: *Sweet Distraction* - K.Bromberg - ARC [18+]
5/5✨
3/5🌶️

I was so happy to find out that this book is going to be released so fast! I looved "Sweet Surrender", which I read a couple of weeks ago and I was really surprised to learn that the next part will be out so soon after🥰. Thank you so, so much for this e-ARC, Valentine Pr. and Kristy!🩵

Gavin "Rocket" Caldwell was part of the famous rock band BENT, which you should already know about, if you read the other books from "Backstage Pass" series. This is an interconnected standalone, but it's better to read them all, to see each band member's story.

So, Rocket was used to have a life without worries, enjoying to the fullest that he was single and in that constantly touring life. He never expected to learn that he was the father to a three old girl, who just appeared on his doorstep, accompanied to a woman who would be her nanny for a short time.

Willow Adams was the one who was taking care of fragile Poppy, who was struggling at that moment as an side effect of the trauma she's been into. Because of the forced proximity, Willow and Rocket's relationship switched to something else, even though Willow was nothing like the women Rocket used to see. Maybe because they were total opposites made them clash even harder. But Rocket cannot fully enjoy those new things in his life, because a major custody battle may take away everything he tried so hard to built in the last period.

This story was simply beautiful!! I loved the super slow burn, the angst and the whirlwind of emotions. Poppy was so darn sweet and I felt so bad for her, but also happy on the other side. It was a hard task for Rocket to accomplish - to become a full time dad overnight, but it was pretty impossible not get attached to that little girl. The constant tension between Rocket and Willow was so, so good, loving the way they tried to ignore their feelings for Poppy's sake. I laughed so hard when the other members of the band made their appearances, always teasing Rocket with something. They enlightened a bit the gloomy atmosphere, but they were super supportive of Rocket, which I really liked.

I definitely recommend this book and the whole series, especially to readers who love books about rockstars which interlace some really darn good romance stories. They all have such amazing MMCs, who will for sure stole your hearts🤭.

This single dad rockstar romance is so compelling, poignant, and passionate! My heart was totally invested in Gavin and Willow's emotional journey from the very beginning. Gavin “Rocket” Caldwell enjoyed the life of a famous bad boy rockstar and has the emotional scars to show for it. Gavin just got off a tour with his band, and was looking forward to some down time, when he learns he has a 3 year old daughter, Poppy. When the mother suddenly passes, she had a will wanting Gavin to raise Poppy and not her parents. When he sees Poppy for the first time, Gavin is in a spiral, not knowing how to be a good father and afraid to break her. Willow is a special needs teacher who was hired to be Poppy's advocate and nanny. Gavin asks her to stay on with them and she is the perfect teacher for him as well. She is patient and caring making him more comfortable with Poppy and wanting to be a better man for them both. As they spend time together, they all learn to trust, care and love each other. But soon the outside world causes complications that could tear their fragile relationship apart. I loved Gavin and Willow so much, and the beautiful family they were building with adorable little Poppy. Gavin works so hard to be a better man, and is a wonderful and devoted lover, friend, and father. He puts everyone first and is determined to protect those he loves. Willow is so strong, sweet, selfless, and caring. They are perfect together, making each other stronger, having fun together, and their chemistry is off the charts. I also loved how supportive and essential his bandmates/brothers and their families were for them as well. This moving and heartfelt story was a roller coaster ride with witty banter, push/pull emotions, a bit of suspense, and hot steamy passion, and I loved every moment!

5 ⭐️

I was so lucky to received the advance reader copy pd this book by the author and Valentine PR and I’m freely sharing my review, thank you✨

This was my first book by the author and you can bet it won’t be the last, or course because now I have to read the previous ones hehe but because I just LOVED Poppy, Willow and Rocket’s story. You know I’m a sucker for a single dad book, but this one was very different from all the other books I’ve read.

The story behind Poppy and Rocket was so much deeper because the reason he’s now taking care of Poppy is so heartbreaking, I hurt for Poppy, and I hurt for Rocket too, the relationship they grow was so beautiful and it was so real and complicated yet easy for them, she was so scared and confused and so he was, and Willow being such an important piece to help them both bonding like father and daughter was so sweet😭❤️

I was sobbing by the end of the book because Rocket went from being the eternal single rock star who was jumping bed after bed being the heart of the parties and a troublemaker, to be the perfect dad for Poppy, the one who sang to her and was afraid of losing her and playing with her and doing whatever it takes to make sure Poppy was safe and loved and laughing and loving Willow at the same time because his girls were anything he never knew he needed it 😭❤️‍🩹 and of course my girl Willow, I just love her, I felt her loss so deeply because I went through the same thing, and I loved how Rocket also helped her to lose her rules a little and make her feel brave enough to accept the love Rocket was giving her ❤️‍🩹also she loved Poppy from second one and Poppy loved her back and was so perfect just writing this and remember their story makes me tear up 😭✨

If this has to be the last book in the series, Kristy did it just right.

Our preconceived notions of what to expect from Rocket may have been proved right at the start, but his redemption was incredible. He feels unworthy, unqualified, and overwhelmed—like he doesn’t have what it takes to be a father. With the help of his brothers, Willow and Poppy herself, Rocket grows into the man and father everyone knew he could be. He’s willing to fight to the end for what he has finally found.

Accepting a job helping a sweet little girl was only supposed to be temporary for Willow. Falling in love with that little her was inevitable, but falling for her father was never on her bingo card. One look at Rocket holding his little girl changed everything for her. Now, she’s doing everything she can to make sure she gets to keep both of them.

Rocket’s character growth was written so well. Despite his jaded outlook on love, he accepts it and nurtures it with the acceptance of Willow’s help. He puts his girls’ happiness ahead of his own and ultimately fights for his own as well.

Willow was the perfect heroine for Rocket. With her past experiences and caring nature, she not only heal Poppy but Rocket too. She accepts the unexpected turn in her world with open arms and a smile on her face.

This band of brothers was steadfast in their support and ridiculous when it called for it. Of course, we have come to expect nothing less from all of them.

Backstage Pass #3

At 26 Willow Adams had been a teacher until budget cuts forced her out of her job. When her uncle approached her about being a nanny to a 3 yr old little girl she decided to take the job until she could find another teaching job.

Gavin "Rocket" Caldwell is a member of the band BENT, one of the world's biggest rock bands. He doesn't do relationships, he's all about partying, hooking up and his music that is until he finds out he's the father of a 3 yr old little girl Poppy resulting from one of those hook ups. He knew nothing about her and probably wouldn't have but her mother passed away in an accident and left him as her guardian.
He has no clue what to do, how to deal with her so he agrees on hiring a nanny.

Poppy isn't speaking due to being traumatized from the accident so Willow has her work cut out to help Poppy adjust to her new life with her Dad. Willow is everything Poppy needs and is also helping Rocket into being a Dad. She's nothing like the women he is used to being around and he's having a hard time staying away from her.
This arrangement is temporary or is it? And just when things seem to be going ok it changes.

5 stars
Oh my gosh this story will tear at your heart strings. I love how his band members rallied around him to support him and how Rocket changed. And Poppy.......❤️

Yet again, Kristy delivers an amazing story here! Gavin, Willow and Poppy will steal your heart and never let it go in this one! 5 rock stars for this one!
Gavin just finished up a tour with the band, and he's looking forward to the down time before the next one starts up! Unfortunately, that's not going to happen, when his lawyer calls and tells him that he possibly has a daughter, who's mom just passed away. This can't be true, he does remember the girl, but he can't be the dad, no way. When the dust settles, and the DNA test comes back that he's the dad, and he's now responsible for her, he's in a panic. But thankfully she's coming with a nanny, Willow, in place, and he will keep her at all costs.
Willow has just been hired by her cousin to care for a newly orphaned girl, who's not said a word since losing her mom, and she has to sign an NDA because her dad is super famous. When she meets him, and see's his fear of his child, and lack of involvement in her life, always has an excuse why he has to leave. She's basically the one raising her, until one day, he starts spending some time with them, and she's witnesses the transformation from a man afraid of his daughter, to a man who falls so in love with his daughter, all along while Willow falls for him also!
Enjoy their story, Kristy did such an amazing job with their story, you will love this one! Grab it asap!

K. Bromberg did it again! I loved every minute of this story and will definitely be going back and reading the rest of this series!

Gavin(Rocket) didn't have the best childhood or example of good parenting while growing up. He finally found his family when he joined the BENT band and gained 4 brothers. Now he found out he has a daughter(Poppy), he didn't know about and doesn't believe he's cut out to be a father.

Willow had been laid off from her teaching job, due to budget cuts and looking after an orphaned little girl until the father is ready seems like the perfect opportunity to restart her Master's degree, but this nanny job might be more than what she bargained for.

I loved the dynamic of Willow and Rocket. While there was attraction right away, both knew it would be better to stay away. Their relationship grew naturally and gradually; as "colleagues", friends, a safe place for each other and finally lovers.

While their sweet and spicy moments were amazing, the banter between these two was chef's kiss. They weren't afraid to tell each other the brutal truths and push each other in the correct direction.

In most surprise child romances, the father almost instantly accepts the father role and loves their child. With Rocket, it was very different, but I appreciated that. Rocket did feel instant love for Poppy, but he kept his distance. While it was frustrating, seeing Rocket grow and let go of his fears was so wholesome and heartwarming. He might not have shown it, but he always wanted what was best for Poppy.

This story also showed the realities of the world and how women are unfortunately shamed for their feelings and the events they live. The author wrote the MMC handling this issue so nicely, even it was a bit later on.

I LOVED THIS STORY and can't recommend it enough! Just have tissues ready!

*I received a copy of this book as an ARC. This review and thoughts are mine alone.*

Rating: 5⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

For Rock-et, his entire world just got flipped upside down when he found out he has a 3 year old daughter he never knew about named Poppy. Poppy and her mother were in an accident, and her mother did not make it. Due to trauma, Poppy hasn’t spoken since she was found, and CPS brings in Willow to keep Poppy with one person instead of introducing more trauma.

Rocket is a rock star, and while the appeal is there, willow tries to keep the lines firmly in place, but Rocket isn’t going for that.

I loved this story SO MUCH. I actually needed to sleep on my review, since i devoured it in one sitting. Watching Rocket and Poppy learn to be together, and learn to love and trust each other was beautiful. And seeing Rocket decide to show up and not be afraid to make mistakes with her made me swoon!

And Willow was such an incredible force to watch with Poppy. Always jumping in with a new way to communicate, or to make her giggle, and seemed attuned to all of her needs before she asked for anything.

I have unfortunately not read the first few books, but can’t wait to go back and read them since this was incredible!

The final book in the series, and I can’t begin to explain how much I loved Rocket.

Rockstar Rocket’s world is turned upside down with the unexpected arrival of 3-year-old Poppy—the daughter he never knew he had—and her temporary nanny, Willow. With Willow's guidance, Rocket rises to the occasion, transforming into the man he was always capable of becoming. He learns to show up, to love deeply, and to confront the trauma of his rough childhood head-on.

The chemistry between Rocket and Willow is off the charts, and their emotional journey to becoming a family had me completely in my feels. That breakthrough moment with Poppy? Tears. Literal tears.

Appearances from the rest of the band and their wives is always a fun time, and the way this 'family' has each other's backs is truly heartwarming.

Rocket and Willow are absolute couple goals, and K. Bromberg wrapped up this series on a wonderfully high and heartfelt note. A perfect ending to a powerful ride.

Unexpected rock star single dad meets nanny he can’t resist? SIGN ME UP. this had all of my favorites in one book and did not disappoint.

Gavin, aka Rocket, had been living the good life - tour, music, women. Until an unexpected call changes his life and he finds out that he’s a dad to a 3 year old little girl.

Rocket doesn’t know how to be a dad. lucky for him, CPS had assigned a nanny to stay with his daughter while paternity was being confirmed and she agrees to stay on and help with the transition.

Willow didn’t know what she was getting into when she agreed to nanny for a little girl who had just lost her mom - like the dad being the one and only Rocket Caldwell.

Between late night trips to the kitchen and seeing Rocket learn how to be a dad, Willow starts to fall for both dad and daughter. But when Poppy’s maternal grandparents enter the picture threatening Rocket’s custody, Willow just might become collateral damage..
