Three girls. Seventy-two hours. One woman who refuses to stop. When three sisters vanish from the streets of Detroit, most people write them off as runaways. Another statistic in a city that's seen too many.
But someone is paying attention.
Reaper isn't a cop. She isn't a hero. She's a weapon—forged in the same brutal streets that swallowed those girls. What she does in the shadows, she does without mercy, without hesitation, and without leaving witnesses.
The kidnappers have money, connections, and a pipeline that moves human cargo from the Midwest to the coast. They think they're untouchable. They're professionals—ex-military enforcers, ruthless traffickers, and a criminal network that's been operating for years without interference.
They've never met anyone like her.
From Detroit to Cleveland to Norfolk, Reaper cuts through their operation like a scalpel through flesh. Each body she leaves behind brings her closer to the truth. Each hour that passes brings the girls closer to disappearing forever.

I would definitely want the Reaper on my side. Another excellent story with non-stop action. This time the Reaper takes on a child traffickers in Detroit who make the mistake of kidnapping three young sisters who are residents of Hope House, a group home for girls andthe Reaper’s alma mater, kill their adult escorts, and viciously beat the elder Director Williams almost to death. The Reaper is a most unusual hero you can only follow by holding your breath to see what happens next as she takes on the evil-doers. Once started, this is a another story by this author that you can’t put down; I’m really looking forward to the next in the series.
Dan Ames start out early 2026 with his first book of the year. A Bullet To Bite On is the fourth adventure with Reaper, an assassin from Detroit with a chip on her shoulder. In this book she actually gets to take action against some really despicable people. You could say some justice is delivered and rightly so. I like this character and think it would be fun if she sometime in the future had to team up with John Rockne or his sister Ellen. I still recommend this author and hope you listen to me when I say he has something for everyone.
When the Reaper receives a call that three girls from Hope House have kidnapped off the street, she doesn't hesitate to help find them. After all, she had once spent time at Hope House.
Reaper needs to rely on her knowledge and connections to get her on the trail of the kidnappers and quickly, before either something horrible happens to the girls or they are sent to parts unknown.
This is a fast-paced thriller with plenty of action and even the involvement of another assassin. Heaven help anyone who stands in the Reaper's way.
I found this latest book by the author, exploding on the pages. With more explosions as I turned the pages.. It was interesting, fascinating to the end of the story. A winner I thought, and I do recommend it. As I do the many this author has written.
Dan Ames delivers a lightening fast story about human trafficking and a woman who lives to set things right and deliver revenge on those responsible. Don’t miss this read.
I have to hand it to author Dan Ames with his writing of Reaper: A Bullet To Bite On. He certainly knows how to attract a keen interest from the first paragraph to the very last, with keenness glistening in your eyes. The subject matter is one that often is whispered about but very seldom encountered....child trafficking. Yes, it all starts with some lethal shooting. And some clever reasoning by Reaper to discover a trail towards trying to save three young sisters caught by child traffickers. But the thing that had me astounded was the effort taken by the author to reveal the full list of equipment and the preparations taken by Reaper to discover the whereabouts and following the traffickers. That impressed the heck out of me. As did the same procedure when later followed by an assassin awaiting the arrival of Reaper. Phew! That certainly heightened the suspense immeasurably. Small wonder I finished this book in one sitting. Enjoy.
