Bill Stanton was a prominent radio playwright in the nineteen seventies. Unfortunately, the BBC had a policy at the time of reusing audio tape, and consequently all of Bill's plays were erased.
This book represents the surviving manuscripts of these plays.
There are eleven altogether. The first play, The Compost Heap, was broadcast in 1969 and featured Wilfred Pickles as Albert and a young Tony Robinson as Charlie.
The last play was A Plug For The Cabinet broadcast in 1979 and starred George Cole as Lucius Tring.
