My fated mate is the alpha king… And I’m too weak to be his queen. So he rejects me- but doesn't know I'm pregnant with his pup.
I’ve been a punching bag my entire life. Bullied by my pack, sneered at by my family…all because my wolf refuses to show herself. So when all unmated females are invited to the alpha prince’s ball so he can find a mate, I’m dreading it. My sister trips me in front of everyone, and I’m ready to be the laughingstock of the ball.
Instead, the prince catches me. And our mating bond snaps into place. His fierce protectiveness takes over and he turns his rage on my “Apologize to your future queen, or I will toss you out in the cold after breaking the pack bonds to make you a rogue.”
The heat of our connection and the way I feel when he looks at me…it’s like nothing I’ve ever felt. But then he realizes I’m a weak omega who’s never even shifted. He doesn’t want me anymore, but it’s too late—he’s already marked me. I resign myself to being ignored by my suddenly icy, distant mate for the rest of my life.
But then I find out I’m pregnant. So I run. Once I’m gone, will he realize how much he needs me? Or will I spend the rest of my life brokenhearted and mateless, raising our baby by myself?
Pregnant and Rejected by the Lycan King is a rejected mate romance with a lycan MC and a strong fmc. For mature audience only!
The excerpt I saw on FB ads and the description made me want to love it, but man did I struggle to get through it. I ended up having to skip parts because it felt so repetitive. It’s about 150 pages too long for the plot being what it is. Also, I understand the whole lycan healing thing, but who the crap is doing it like 3-4 days post partum? And since when do babies only nurse two or three times in a 24 hour span at less than a week old? And when did full sized lycan monsters fit inside cribs with their babies? Who goes back to work and lets someone else babysit their newborn for a 6 hour waitressing shift at 5 days post partum? The groveling was so minimal compared to the major offense. The timelines are ridiculous. I finished, but I’m annoyed that I bothered. 🤷🏻♀️
Beautiful rejected mate story. Talon and Elena’s fated mate tale was interesting from beginning to end. I’ve started so many books I couldn’t finish but this was definitely not one of them. Elena is such a gentle spirit that just wants to have her lycan and to find someone that accepts and loves her. Talon starts out strong because he defends her, but he’s so worried about what his pack would think that he acts rashly and rejects her thinking she will just hang out and wait for him to produce an heir with her sister who was her biggest tormentor and bully her whole life. He even has the audacity to tell her he is rejecting her but she shouldn’t accept his rejection so that he can come back to her after he produces an heir with her sister. Not knowing she was already pregnant. So instead of him getting his way she accepts the rejection and leaves him in the dust to do what he wants so she doesn’t have to be the victim and watch him disrespect her in the worst way imaginable by mating with her biggest bully. Elena is not a pushover and I love this about her! I’d love to know more about what happened to her old pack after the abuse she suffered her whole life. Especially her awful sister and the sister’s friend. Excellent book!
It’s like watching a B movie …what was I thinking? Major betrayal (H wants to mate her bullying sister and have a child while newly mated and marked h stays on the sidelines causing her immense pain) but zero realizes how dumb he is and h forgives him because reasons. 👎
Needed to get back at the family that disregarded her and dealt with the bully that tormented her also. Felt all that was left out. Felt the whole of that plot was left out.
It was a little short. The story didn't flow as good as I thought it would. The ending was very good. They left out some of the earlier characters, that you didn't know what happened to them. The story seemed laking to me.
I love rejected mate stories, and if there's also a surprise pregnancy, that's just icing on the cake! This story started out in exactly this way, with a sweet heroine, treated and bullied horribly by her family and other pack members. They were horrific to her, and really for no reason, other than they could. Then they all believed this heroine had no wolf, so that gave them even more ammunition to try to beat her to death, if possible. In comes the future wolf king, rescuing this sweet heroine from another ass whooping by her bitch of a sister. The wolf king is this sweet/abused heroine's fated mate, and the future wolf king and this sweet/tormented heroine fall instantly in love with each other. After they have a wild sex fest, and then seal their mating to each other, the heroine finally tells her new mate that she doesn't have a wolf side to her. At first he's convinced he can bring out the wolf in her, but after a very short time later, he decides, "Fuck it! I'll reject her and mate her evil abusive, (WORST IMAGINABLE PERSON IN THE WORLD) sister instead." The sweet heroine is trying to find her mate (who is avoiding her like the plague) to let him know that she's discovered she's pregnant, so she has to have a wolf inside her after all, since humans can't successfully get pregnant by werewolves. The heroine had been ignored and had her mind link blocked from her mate for a day or two, and when she finally tracks him down, he's with the evil sister. Evil Sis lets this sweet girl know that she's being rejected, dumped and Surprise! Her soulmate is going to mate the evil abusive sister instead. The rejection was seriously gutting. He rejected her before she could get a word out to him about her pregnancy, but then he told her not to accept her side of the rejection. He'll get her sister pregnant so they can have an heir, then he'll come back and resume his relationship with her (his fated mate) as soon as he gets the sister pregnant. I was seriously loving the story up to this point, but this is where the story took a turn for the worst. The sweet heroine runs away, right into the territory of the future wolf king's biggest nemesis. The same nemesis that this heroine KNOWS would kill her in a heartbeat if he found her, so that would ensure he would be king instead of her fated mate (Wolf king has to have a mate to help him lead his pack, yadda yadda). But she stays in that territory anyhow. Sweet heroine is rescued by a fun group of omegas who take care of her, get her a job, and support her all through her pregnancy. This heroine (thinking she's grown a backbone) decides to become the world's most stubborn lycan, doing everything she possibly can to endanger her own life, the life of her baby and her new found family of friends. The evil nemesis knows she is on his territory, but he's allowing her to stay so that his Beta can force her to mate with him against her will. The beta tells her she's his mate (SHE IS NOT), and then horrically attacks her at her work while trying to bite her, and instead causing her to go into labor. Shortly after this, the future wolf king shows up at the hospital where his mate and baby were taken to, and finds out he's a dad. He's begging to have his fated mate come back to him, or at the very least return to his pack lands where she can be protected. But NOPE. Not happening. You know, because she has to act too stupid to live right now. The asinine decisions by this heroine ruined the rest of this story. I detest heroines who intentionally do everything out of sheer stubbornness and absolute stupidity, then they are shocked when they are almost murdered like everyone around them warns the heroine will happen to her if she stays stupid. Of course she's kidnapped along with her baby, and she's being forced into the mating ceremony the evil Beta from the nemesis pack promised her would happen. The rest of the story was just dumb and the ending was simplified to disappointment.
Talon and Elena. Shes rejected by her fated mate the alpha king because she's thought to be weak. Shes bullied. Shes sneered upon. all because her wolf hasnt shown herself yet. While at the alpha kings ball he bonds with her and protects her. Then marks her but then he finds out she's an omega who hasnt shifted so he turns on her. Shes to live her life in a loveless bond but when she finds out she carring his pup she runs away. Its been months and he was about to go feral. Shes being hunted. He needed to take her back and protect her. He had to convince her. She was kidnapped. Talon fought for her his then weak wolf broke free and strong. She then saved him. Great story. Well written. Rollercoaster of emotions. My synopsis is just a thread upon the story which is filled with so much feeling and action and wolfiness. Entertaining read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It’s well written and keeps you hooked. I couldn’t put it down. I’m only giving it a 4 star rating though because the whole mate bond didn’t make sense. If he rejected her and she accepted it and they both felt the bond sever, why were they still experiencing the mate bond (being able to sense their presence, smell the smell off of each other that only a mate can scent, the tingling from skin contact, crave each other to the point of not being able to use their brain, their wolves are obsessed with each other and their only thoughts are about being with each other, only they can calm the other down, etc)? What’s the point of rejecting each other to sever the mate bond if it doesn’t actually sever?
found this on booktok and am so glad i did. didnt think it would live up to my expectations, shifter books unfortunately usually dont have a lot of good groveling or fmc's with a lot of backbone..just the way they are 🤷♀️ BUT this had all of that. just when i thought for sure...Elena is gonna be soft and go back without any sort of fight for what he put her through she gives him hell. Her character definitely developed nicely. and his groveling...top tier..👌 chefs kiss. the only thing i maybe wish it had focused a little more on was how much Talon had missed during the pregnancy. i dont think the story quite captured how monumental those moments are when the babies developing. and maybe a few more moments with talon and Nevaeh wouldve been cool to see.
She's been abused and bullied her whole life, there's A question as to whether she has a Lycan. When the Prince, heir to the throne meets her they discover they are fated mates. After a month her Lycan still hasn't shown so he rejects her "for the kingdom". She runs, it takes several months to find her, she's given birth to his pup. He crawls back, saves her and his daughter and she accepts him back.
It was good book. Not a lot of spelling . needed more chapters at the end to tell about them returning to the kingdom and what happen to the other pack.
Silly. And if there’s going to be a jerk-ass groping guy threat I’m not interested if he’s the beta, the heroine didn’t go through a bunch of terrible crap to be menaced by anyone less than the boss villain.
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because there are some unresolved side plots/unanswered questions. The writing was good & the story was engaging though.
Almost a 4. Good story. Well written. I'm not a "curse" "witch" fan so the premise was somewhat difficult for me. But the way it was written had some serious talent.
Elena and Talon are perfect for each other! A wonderful and beautiful healing love story! Soo soo good and soo soo H.O.T I absolutly loved it! 😍❤️🔥❤️🥰
