Hope's Wynn's of Change
Every series Hope Callaghan writes is a blockbuster!! Wynn Harbor Inn is right up there with my favorites! This new series could go on as long as Millie's, Gloria's and Carlita's series have. If you haven't read any other of Hope's series you're in for a real treat and some of the very best cozy stories written!!
Each character is written in a way that you feel like you are reading about one of your best friends. As you get to know the characters you become invested in their life. To someone who isn't a voracious reader, you will not understand how caught up in their lives you get. Also each location the book is set in is so real and discriptive that it feels like your right there at that moment in time. Lots of authors can't give you all that but Hope Callaghan does.
Wynn's of Change which is set on Mackinaw Island in Michigan's Lake Huron between the upper & lower peninsula's. Mackinaw Island is like stepping back in time, there are no gas vehicles permitted. If you don't go by horse and wagon/buggy or bicycle, you are getting there on your own two feet. It is absolutely beautiful every season of the year. It is definitely a vacationer's dream.
Harlow Wynn was born and raised there. Her family owns Wynn Harbor Inn. It, unfortunately burned to the ground and Harlow's Mom was trapped and died in the fire. Harlow had blamed her Dad, since the arsonist was not found. Harlow a beautiful, talented model and mega star left the island vowing to never return again. That was all explained in book one. After her Dad and best friend Eryn helped her recover from a tragic car accident, Harlow realized what she missed most in her life was her family and being home on the Island.
At the start of Wynn's of Change, Harlow was back at work in Vancouver finishing up
in her current movie, she was so exhausted and just wanted to go home to Mackinaw. The fact that she had to see her soon to be ex-husband with his mistress Jillian, upset her each day. Not from jealousy but because she had been so blind to how ruthless and uncaring Robert her manager/husband was. Her Aunt Birdie and her best friend Eryn had come to see her last day of shooting and were flying back with her.
Robert had agreed to split everything down the middle so she was anxious to get her divorce over quickly or would she? You need to read Wynn's of Change to see if something might come up to stop the divorce, her acting career and her home she so badly wanted on Mackinaw Island.....
This excellent third book in the series brings new challenges, surprise encounters and great enlightenment, it is a must read!!
