Man schreibt das Jahr 2214 irdischer Zeitrechnung. Für die Erdmenschen sind also seit der erfolgreichen Mondlandung einer Rakete mit chemischem Antrieb, dem Auftakt der echten Weltraumfahrt, noch nicht einmal anderthalb Jahrhunderte vergangen.
Trotz dieser nach kosmischen Zeitmaßen unglaublich kurzen Spanne hat es das von Perry Rhodan geschaffene und geleitete Solare Imperium fertiggebracht, zu einem Eckpfeiler galaktischer Macht zu werden.
Die meisten Völker der Milchstraße wissen bereits, daß es besser ist, Terraner zu Freunden zu haben, anstatt zu Feinden. Auch die Posbis, die positronisch-biologischen Robotwesen, die noch vor kurzem alles Leben in der Milchstraße blindwütig angriffen, haben ihre Attacken längst eingestellt.
Dies dürfte wohl darauf zurückzuführen sein, daß nach der Abschaltung des Haßrelais das den Terranern freundlich gesonnene Zentralplasma die Macht auf der Hundertsonnenwelt übernehmen konnte.
Die vernichtenden Kämpfe unter den Posbis, die plötzlich ausgebrochen sind, versetzen alle Verantwortlichen der Galaktischen Allianz in Unruhe. Schließlich sind die Posbis ja ein wichtiges Bollwerk gegen die Laurin-Gefahr!
Und so entschließt sich Perry Rhodan, alles auf eine Karte zu setzen! Alle verfügbaren Mittel werden mobilisiert, und eine große Flotte wartet auf den Einsatzbefehl. Eins der kühnsten Unternehmen in der bisherigen Geschichte der terranischen Raumfahrt beginnt: Der SPRUNG IN DEN INTERKOSMOS!

Número 148 da série Perry Rhodan.
Eu já havia visto vários desses pequenos livros em sebos, mas nunca haiva pegado um para ler por medo de serem apenas mais um caça-níquel. Ledo engano. A série Perry Rhodan é uma das mais antigas e melhores de ficção científica já produzida.
Apesar do nome e da ambientação - um mundo futurista em que os Estados Unidos adquiriu o comando da hegemonia global - a mesma foi e ainda é publicada em seu país de origem, a Alemanha.
Perry Rhodan, o personagem título, é o presidente mundial que labora para manter o mundo em sua progressão tecnológica frente não apenas à exploração espacial, mas às prórias guerras espaciais que já ocorrem com os novos superhumanos e alienígenas.
Nesse número em questão, a Terra recebe uma mensagem do Mundo dos Cem Sois e tudo se torna uma corrida pela sobrevivência devido a uma possível guerra contra robos posbis.
É ficção científica hardcore onde toda a história gira em torno da ciência, da exploração, e do avanço interestelar.
Recomendo.

The Ferguson and Ferguson Company concludes a juicy deal with the Solar Imperium for the manufacture of superconductive capacitors necessary for the fabrication of the antiflex glasses which permit the detection of the Laurins. A license is even granted so that the production takes place on other sites.
On the border of the Milky Way, the surveillance station Globe-18 looks for the location of the World of a Hundred Suns. In July 2114 they detect the arrival of Posbi ships pursued by Laurin vessels. The box ships flee, which denotes an abnormal behavior.
The Terran vessel SOSATA heads toward Frago on a reconaissance flight. The planet is in the grip of an atomic fire due to the struggle between the Posbi robots loyal to the central protoplasm and the Posbi robots loyal to the hyperimpotronic. Five Lauren vessels appear, attempting to destroy a fragment ship. The SOSATA helps the Posbi ship.
A message is received from the central protoplasm asking for the help of the real life. The Terrans answer so that they can send some vessels to Frago. The fleet of vessels, grouped around the THEODORIC, leaves for Frago. Upon their arrival, they must face some Laurin vessels. Two Posbi fragment ships agree to embark a Terran commando team and take it to the World of a Hundred Suns. The two vessels with three thousand men on board embark. A fight begins with other Posbi ships. When they arrive on the main world of the Posbis, contact is established with the central protoplasm after several attempts.
The X-1 and the GAUSS follow the Posbi ships to the World of a Hundred Suns. Once there, the GAUSS positions itself one light year from the World of a Hundred Suns and sends a location signal. The X-1 lands on the planet. The central protoplasm informs the Terrans that the hyperimpotronic cut its food and oxygen. The Terrans are obliged to face the unceasing battles between the robots. They nevertheless are successful in re-establishing the food and oxygen to the central protoplasm.
The central protoplasm then takes control of the hyperimpotronic and the battles stop on the surface of the World of a Hundred Suns. However, the control is unstable.
Unfortunately, guided by the location signals of the GAUSS, a Laurin fleet appears and attacks the World of a Hundred Suns.

Казалось бы, вот сейчас ещё капелька, и пойдут последние зарубы и цикл эпично закончится. Зарубы и правда пошли, правда финал романа не очень сильно приближает развязку. И либо далее всё очень быстро закончат либо конфликт будет перенесёт в будущее. К роману у меня нет особых претензий, немного смутило начало, события которого, как я понимаю, необходимы будут в будущем. События развиваются с сумасшедшей скоростью, но запутаться не получается, всё довольно последовательно. Родан прибыл уладить конфликт, процесс прошёл, но не обошлось перед трудностями. Очевидно, что они будут решены, но учитывая, что до конца цикла остаётся один роман, возникает вопрос "А КАК?". Скорее всего, следующая книга будет ещё насыщенней. А я и не против.

Das ist also der Endspurt der Posbi-Storyline; ein Kurt Brand-Zweiteiler. Passt auf diesen Zyklus wie Arsch auf Eimer und anders hätte es wohl nicht ablaufen können. Nun denn, da muss man halt jetzt durch. Die letzten Seiten werden da wohl zwangsläufig knochentrocken und da kann man halt nichts machen. Seufz, stöhn.
