Hunting Julianna

Rate this book
He gave her security. She didn’t realize it meant surrender.

Julianna
My life runs on control. High-powered days. Solitary nights. No room for chaos.

Then Creed walks into my house. Polite. Professional. But there’s something in his eyes I can’t shake.

We cross paths again at the gym. He’s calm, attentive, and exactly the distraction I didn’t know I needed.
When he invites me to his cabin for the weekend, I say yes.

But once we’re alone, his obsession slips through the cracks.
And instead of running, I want more.
I want him.

Creed
The moment I saw her, I knew.

Julianna was perfect. Controlled, powerful, untouchable.
Until I stepped inside her world and made myself a part of it.

The gym wasn’t fate. It was strategy.
The cabin wasn’t a getaway. It was a trap.

Now she’s here. Right where I want her.
She thinks she has a choice, but she belongs to me.

He was her captor, then he became her choice

Julianna Whitmore built her life on control. A brilliant surgeon, her world runs on precision and discipline. After a threat at work leaves her vulnerable, she hires Creed to upgrade her security. What she doesn’t realize is that Creed is already watching, already tracking her every move, and already making plans she never sees coming.

Creed operates with precision, patience, and dangerous loyalty. When he takes Julianna from the city to a remote mountain cabin, it’s not for ransom but to keep her in a world he can control completely. In the quiet of isolation, their connection becomes a clash of wills. Her defiance meets his dominance, each moment a step deeper into a relationship built on tension, trust, and the parts of themselves they don’t show the rest of the world.

As the days pass, Julianna stops resisting the pull. The control that once defined her becomes something she shares, choosing to stay even when she has the chance to walk away. Creed stops being just her captor and becomes her anchor. Together, they create a life on their own terms, dark and intimate, shaped by choice, trust, and dangerous devotion.

Creed evolves from a detached and controlled man into someone who allows vulnerability through his connection with Julianna, while Julianna transforms from a guarded, disciplined surgeon into a woman who embraces the darker parts of herself. Their relationship shifts from tension and resistance to mutual acceptance, built on dangerous trust. Over time, the balance of control becomes shared, with both choosing the life they create together.

Ultra-hot and steamy, dark, stalker, captive romance, exploring control, obsession, dominance, consent, transformation, trust, intimacy, and belonging. It’s about obsession, power, survival, and a connection that remakes them both.

Julianna is a brilliant surgeon, her life is built on control, her world on discipline and precision.

However, a threat at work leave her in a vulnerable state, leaving her with no choice but to take measures for her safety, she hires Creed to upgrade her security.

What Julianna doesn’t realise is that Creed will become her captor, but inevitably her choice.

Because Creed was already watching, this opportunity gave him an in, to track her every step, and the plans that he made are coming to fruition, and something Julianna doesn’t see coming until it is too late.

You see Julianna and Creed are both similar in their own ways, because in Creed’s world, he operates on patience, loyalty and precision. When he extricates Julianna to his remote mountain cabin, it simply is for her benefit, to keep her safe in a world that only he can control, completely and unequivocally.

The tension is running high with these two, who thought isolation would bring them peace, yet they find themselves clashing. When defiance meets dominance, each moment is a step closer to something that they don’t want to acknowledge, a relationship built on mutual trust and understanding, but in order to be who they truly are with each other, they need to let go of parts of themselves, side they both refuse to show the rest of the world.

And as the inevitable comes full circle, Julianna makes a choice, the pull that she is resisting, the control that she has let lead her in life, she relinquishes, she chooses to stay, and in doing so Creed becomes her anchor.

Yet despite everything, on their own terms, together do they create a life for themselves, one that is shaped by there own choices, mutual trust, it also a dangerous devotion that is dark and intimate.

As you read there story, you will see Creed evolve from what he was into someone who allows emotion to strengthen his connection with Julianna, which allows Julianna to tap into the darker parts of herself, transforming her in a way that lets her embrace the woman that she is.

Julianna and Creed both choose the life they have created together, their relationship built on mutual acceptance, a dangerous trust built on love, and in time does there control become more balanced.

If you love a book that contains hot and steamy scenes with elements of a dark and captive romance with stalker vibes, where control, obsession, dominance and consent transforms a love based on trust, intimacy and belonging, then this story is for you.

Highly recommended both the author and the book. Looking forward to reading what this author writes next.

This is only the second book I’ve read in this series. I know, I know, I’m going back to read the first two lol. But so far, this one is my fave. Creed thought he was going to take Julianna on a cabin retreat and keep her as his. But I think he got more than he bargained for. The both were cut from a very similar cloth. I loved that Julianna was more into this than he thought she would be. And she had her own dark tastes. You go girl.
This one was hot and twisted. Wickedly spicy. I loved the hell out of this one.

DNF at 75%

The beginning definitely had potential, even though I felt like I was missing something. I felt like she gave in too quickly. I should say I felt that everything happened too quickly in general. They're already together and in love. I don't feel the need to continue and see what happens cause it all just feels like smut at this point

Julianna Whitmore is a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon whose life is as meticulously ordered as the sterile confines of her operating room—disciplined, precise, and emotionally detached. That is, until the day she invites Creed, a man who’s been quietly watching from the shadows, into her home to install a new security system. Polite and professional to a fault, Creed nonetheless radiates a quiet intensity that Julianna can’t ignore. There’s something simmering beneath his calm exterior, something that awakens a primal part of her she didn’t know existed. What Julianna doesn’t realize is that Creed has a plan, one that starts with whisking her away to a remote mountain cabin (yes, that cabin). What follows is a psychological power play between two alphas used to controlling every variable, except each other. What drew me to this couple is how evenly matched they are in dominance and intellect. Julianna is analytical, cool-headed, and emotionally armored. But in isolation, Creed begins to peel back those layers, not through force, but with deliberate, unrelenting patience. It’s a clash of wills, a high-stakes standoff that only ends when Julianna yields, but not in defeat. Her "submission" feels more like a shedding of her outer skin, a transformation into a darker, truer version of herself. And Creed? He doesn’t remain untouched either. Beneath the steel and shadows, he reveals a tenderness he offers only to Julianna. Their connection deepens beyond physical attraction into something elemental, a soul-deep bond forged in fire and vulnerability. As for the spice? As always, it delivers. This installment felt edgier, with scenes that walk a razor’s edge between intensity and intimacy. Yet, it’s never gratuitous, both characters wear their scars with pride. If you’re a fan of dark romance with emotionally complex characters and sizzling chemistry, this series is a must-read. Unsettling, seductive, and utterly consuming. You won't be disappointed.

4.5 ☆'s

When Julianna, a billiant heart surgeon, needs security, she calls Creed.

Her home and life are as cold and sterile as the operating room, everything spotless, in its place, and often smells like cleaning solution.
She doesn’t really have friends, doesn't go out like the other hospital staff does. It's the gym, work, and home, a routine she keeps meticulously.

Until Creed.

He quietly installs the security system, the cameras, and the equipment to keep her safe.
After he's gone, she can feel him in her space.
She knows he's watching.
So she teases him.
She's drawn to him, but not quite sure why.

He can feel the pull, knows she's the one. So he watches, he follows and makes a plan for the cabin.
He will make her his.

I loved this book. Julianna is a very independent woman with a primal side that Creed's own primal side speaks to. Their chemistry is "primal"

I loved how Haven brought the other couples in and how well their women all got along.

I can't wait to see where she takes us with Hunting Brooklyn

This book is part of the Stalker in the Woods series but can be red as a stand-alone.

This book is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.

This is pitch black romance. This is not light, and sweet, and fluffy. Creed is a stalker. He is brutal and dark, with a single-minded focus. Julianna is unlike any of the other heroines and is strong in her own right. She fights back.

Julianna, a surgeon, purchased a high-security system because one of her patients died on the table, and it was in a prison setting. Creed is the one who puts the system in place for her, and she starts noticing that he's around a lot. But she feels an odd sense of calm knowing that he's watching her, keeping her safe.

Eventually, he decides to drug her and bring her to his cabin, deciding that she's going to be his and nothing will get in his way - even her! At first, she's furious that he took her and chained her to the wall. But over time, she gives in to her attraction to Creed and realizes that she wants him. The spicy scenes are pretty amazing as he really knows what he's doing!

And when someone shows up in search of Julianna, things start to shift, and there's an interesting twist in the story!!

This is a book in the Stalkers in the Woods series - each of these books is a standalone but the worlds are interconnected. It's dark - check triggers before reading.

This story begins with the FMC, Julianna, who is a cardiothoracic surgeon. Her life is very regimented and controlled, and she's always seemingly perfect. She meets the MMC, Creed, when he installs security in her home - but he soon becomes her stalker, watching her through the security he installed.

Each of the books in this series is similar in that it's the story of how one of the guys in the woods found his "woman," captured her, and brought her into his life. This is no different - but unlike the other of these stories I've read (Gianna), Julianna is more aware of what she's dealing with. She enjoys the aspect of being watched and encourages the development of the relationship. I liked this story a bit better because of this - she feels like a good match for Creed right from the beginning.

There isn't a whole ton of plot to the story arc - tons of spice and danger, though, which is fun. The excitement comes from the primal play - hunting, chasing, kidnapping, etc. There is some blood in some of the scenes, so be mindful if that's a trigger for you.

In the end, there are more secrets to uncover and a few twists and turns along the way. Since this is a short standalone, nothing seems particularly high-stakes, but it's a fun read because of that. I found this quite enjoyable, particularly if you enjoy the tropes in the story.

Thanks to the ARC team for an advance copy!

I love this series so much, all the books share similar themes of “kidnapping” and the manipulative anti hero mmc trope, but they’re all interesting and different in their own ways. I loved this one, and how Julianna is a very different fmc compared to the others, she’s very cold and critical, which I guess the critical part she has to be as a surgeon. I love this plot, and I love all the creative ways Haven Snow comes up with for the “kidnapping” because it’s so unique and different every time. I love the whole, I’m going to save you and tell you I’m going to drive you home but… Anyways Creed's methods of getting her to depend on him were pretty extreme compared to the others but nothing I’ve never seen before. Let’s say he took the captive thing really seriously. And I never knew orgasm denial was a way of speeding up Stockholm syndrome but I guess it works. This plot was pretty good. There was this one plot twist that got me pretty good, let’s just say that Creed isn’t the only psycho anti hero in this book. I loved their dynamic. I just there was a little more to this book, maybe more plot twists because the ending was a little anticlimactic and maybe more about the characters in general. We know their pasts/childhoods weren’t the best but it would have been better with details. However their dynamic was amazing, major f0rced submission thing going but I loved every single second of it. This book was a fun, smutty and dark read and I give it a 4/5

Security expert Creed and heart surgeon Julianna don’t just value control; they live by it, and they perfectly suit their individual disciplines, which require intense focus but also awareness. Creed and Julianna meet when she hires him to install a high-tech security system in her condo. He leaves just as intrigued by her as she is him. Cold and clinical by nature, both are puzzled as to why the other has such an effect on them. Julianna hates — and also loves — that Creed sees past her mask to who she really is. Stalking her both digitally and physically, Creed quickly realizes Julianna is not prey after all. With the game recalibrated to predator versus predator, who will come out the winner?

I’ve loved this series from Haven Snow and was excited to see how Julianna was going to be so much different than the previous two women. We were promised a fighter, and that’s exactly what we got! You might think with how solitary and detached she and Creed are, that reading about them would be boring, but it wasn’t at all. I loved how they circled each other, the tension building chapter by chapter. Creed and Julianna were both interesting and the two together were fascinating. It was like reading a psychological case study but with steam and action. It’s so well-written that I flew through the pages, and I can’t wait to see who’s hunted next.

As always, this series has me hooked! I’ve never been so obsessed with a series of stalker dark romance until I found Haven Snow’s book series of Stalkers in the Woods.

I get so excited when she releases another for us ARC readers to read.

Julianna is so much more different than the rest of the women in the other books. She is brave, stronger, and a little kinkier herself than the rest have been. Each mmc keeps getting more unhinged and I love it. The plot in these books are always different, yet similar and I’m here for it!
I loved Creed and Julianna, they are absolutely made for each other!

I’ve noticed that with each book in this series that are published, they obviously are all amazing. But the word building and details just keep getting better and better. Absolutely brilliant ideas, plots, characters, details, and information we receive. I can’t wait to read more and highly recommend this author!!.

Who could resist a book with this dedication, umm not me for sure!
I absolutely loved it, took me a moment to get into it (probably due the fact that it was late at night when I started reading) but after I got sucked into it I couldn't put the book away!
I loved how Julianna wasn't the typical damsel in distress but a strong willed modern women who had built herself the gilded gage. And Daddy Creed, oh my gosh! If you can call an unhinged psychopath an adorable sweetheart, Creed would be the poster boy for that 😍
This was my first read from Haven Snow but definitely not the last!
Please read the TWs since this book isn't one of those cute, warm and fuzzy stalker books that are usually marketed as dark romance.
And for the love of all things holy, make sure you have the time to read this in one sitting! I foolishly started at evening and no amount of coffee was enough to make up the hours of lost sleep 😂.

Creed is absolutely unhinged in the best way. He is calculating and precise. He is probably my favorite of the "hunters" in this series. "He’s magnetic, in the way of things you know are dangerous but can’t resist."

Julianna is meticulous and intelligent. Purposeful recluse. She is vigilant because she has to be.

To say their relationship is intense is putting it mildly. They are absolute fire together. The attraction and thrill are palpable through the pages.
I can't wait for the next and last book. I'll be sad when the Stalkers In The Woods series ends but I look forward to more from this author.

Julianna is a heart surgeon who wants extra security at her home due to family members of patients who died. Creed is the person to install the new security.
Julianna is a person with a carefully crafted life: work, gym, precise meals, and more work. She doesn’t have a life beyond that. Creed starts entering her world and taking all her thoughts.
Eventually, Creed gets Julianna to his cabin in the wilderness and starts to break her down.
I enjoyed this book; Creed saw that she was unhappy with her life. He did what he needed to do to make her happy.
My favorite line from the book is, “Can you survive being wanted this much?”
Both characters are unhinged serial killers and find happiness together.

This is my first book from Haven Snow and I’m fascinated. Scary, sensual, and such an incredible story! Creed’s stalking, murderous vibe, and his patience set the tone for the claiming of his obsession. Julianna hides behind her profession, but she’s as strong as he is and it’s startling how much is wrong with her perfect life.

I love the emotional connection between them as he breaks through her defenses and the artifice she projects. They both have a very defined, precise existence with needs they have not filled. The intensity of their sexual desires is visceral and beautifully written. I’m so glad to have discovered this book and I want to read more of this series!.

Little kitten!

Book four of Stalkers in the Woods, Hunting Julianna, a dark stalker/dual obsession and filled with twisted steam. It follows the obsession of a security specialist named Creed, has with Julianna, a heart surgeon with dark needs that just may take him by surprise. As with her work as a surgeon, she is just as precise and controlled in her personal life. Turns out she may just be as obsessed with Creed as he is with her. Their chemistry is off the freaking charts! This series just keeps getting better, I definitely don’t have a favorite, I really enjoyed each one. Keeps you locked in for the duration.

I received this book as an arc, thank you for giving me the chance to read it.
This is Book 4 of the stalker in the woods series. It follows Juliana and Creed. Juliana is a heart surgeon who doesn’t feel safe within her home. Creed comes in the put cameras and sensors everywhere to make it feel like she is safe and protected. But something about Creed, Juliana can’t shake. So she taunts him. Which was perfect for this book!!!
I love how each MMC brings out the worst but also the best in each FMC. Juliana is this heart surgeon, the best in her area but yet she has secrets. Creed drags them out and makes her own them. Once you can own them, you no longer have to carry that weight.
Each story does get darker but just as wonderful as the last. You gotta read it. Just trust me lol.

Hunting Julianna is the fourth book in the Stalkers in the Woods series. I ate up the first three books and was quite excited about this one. Well, my anticipation was fully met with this book. This story was between the book's name sake (Julianna) and Creed who meticulously planned capture of her and her heart. What is it about these MMCs that stalk that gets our blood heating and moving? Whatever it is, this one definitely had my blood moving. Creed was patient, methodical, and absolutely obsessed and I ate up every bit of it. I kinda don't want this series to end... Anyway, overall, this one was full 5 stars!.

This book was great! Based on the previous books and the mention of Creed in them, I thought this one was going to be much darker. Creed is twisted but not as unhinged as I thought he would be. Julianna is fantastic. She fits so well with him. And it’s probably because of her character and personality that he wasn’t as dark as I was expecting. Julianna is a breath of fresh air. She’s definitely not prey. I loved that about this book. She was so analytical and confident.
The spice is fantastic. I loved the last chapter.
I recommend reading this after you’ve read the other books in the series. There are a lot of cameos and it would make your reading experience better if you know who they are.

Where do i start with my review... 🤔
Ehm...stalker. Creed definitly take stalker to the next level. And the author makes me needing my own stalker. Atleast with Creed's kinda devotion of stalkership.

And Julianna, shes not a prey. Its like, its " the game, the chase, the pure joy of being wanted enough to be hunted." She may not knew the level of Creed's stalkership, but she knew and it was like foreplay for them.

Heed the author's warning for they are exist.
Put your moral outside the door before reding, because if you use your moral standard in reality to this book, you'll run while screaming murder.

This is such a great story! If you like dark romance st@lker stories with an obsessed MMC, I definitely recommend this one. When Julianna meets Creed as he is doing some work in her home, she can't shake an odd feeling she has about him. The first time he sees her, he knows he has to have her. Then after that first meeting, he begins st@lking her and watching her through camera installations. He inserts himself into her daily routine to be near her and eventually invites her to his cabin. This story was dark, suspenseful and very smexy. I enjoyed the primal play scenes. Highly recommend this author.

If you already know this author and their work, you don't need me to tell you how much you are going ot enjoy this next book in the 'stalkers in the woods' series. If you are new to this world, prepare for a dark journey, and read the triggers.
Creed and Julianna are really great together, and maybe i liked them more than the others because Julianna seems more aware of what is going on, and seems to be into it. The plot is simple, but the spice and the danger are high, and this was really a great read.

Creed isn’t even pretending to be subtle and Julianna doesn’t flinch, which is what makes this so fun to read. She’s not prey and the dynamic is more chess match than cat and mouse. The pacing is steady, letting the tension build without feeling slow. I liked how the cabin scenes felt both claustrophobic and oddly intimate. Creed’s obsession is blunt but not cartoonishly unhinged, which keeps it interesting. The cameos from past couples add depth without hijacking the story. This one leans heavier on the mind games than the gore, and that balance worked for me.

Such a dark treat.

This one was very intense, but it made you crave for more. I couldn’t put it down for even a second. It was such a dark treat.

Dark stalker Romances are one of my absolute favorites to read and this one definitely did not disappoint. It made me crave so much more and I need it NOW. 🤣.

"With him, I am free to want. With him 1 am more than the sum of my scars"

Haven seems to keep outdoing herself with every single one of the books in this series.
Each one is more unhinged and the MMC's seem to get more depraved and I am SO HERE FOR IT!
This one was so different from the other three but so so refreshing!
Creed and Julianna are the perfect couple and they fit SO well together!
Definitely my favourite one so far!
YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON THIS ONE!!

Hunting Julianna is book four of the Stalker in the Woods Series and while interconnected, they can be read as standalones. I think this book is the best one so far!!! I fell in love with Creed and I feel like Julianna was more than he bargained for!! She has her own dark twisted secrets!! They truly make an adorable couple! I squealed quite a few times while reading their encounters! If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for?!?!?!

Part of the Stalkers in the Woods series but is way darker. Please check your triggers.

The characters were dark, intriguing, strong-willed and compelling. The plot was intriguing and so very, very dark. World building was excellent and impressive. Cannot recommend this book enough.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

Julianna life is precise as a surgeon she thrives on control, and Creeds about to shatter that. He becomes obsessed and these meet cutes are anything but a coincidence, all set up for his trap, and when she agrees to go to his cabin for weekend, nothing will ever be the same again. Well written steamy desires, dark themes, obsession, stalker, captive and more a great addition to the series
