I didn't follow my dream job across the country. I followed her.
I’ve spent a year watching Natasha. Everywhere she has gone, I’ve been.
Sweet, beautiful Natasha - she calls them chance encounters. I call it meticulous planning.
So, when she transferred across the country to the Tidal Waves, I was traded. There is nowhere she’ll go that I won’t be.
She thinks I’m just the team's star center. She has no idea how deep my obsession runs. Or that I've been slowly closing the net around her.
Soon she'll realize there's nowhere left to skate. And that I've never played a game I didn't intend to win.
This time my prize… Is her.
Read on A sizzling hockey obsession romance where the team's MVP has his eye on more than the cup. Get ready as this calculated player executes his most important play - capturing the one woman who has no idea she's already his. Prepare for a game of pursuit where the ice melts between predator and prey, leading to a scorching victory neither saw coming.
This was pretty good! I am glad that Kane and Natasha got their HEA. Also, the surprise that Natasha's sister has also met and fell in love with her own hockey player!
this was just not a good book. natasha spend almost the entire book fighting her feelings for kane. she’s still saying “i should be afraid of his intensity” at like 80%. she says she moved away to get away from him but she actually moved for her sister. she says she’s afraid but never goes to the police or at least talks to the people in charge of the team. she says she doesn’t want him to follow her but then is upset he didn’t ask her to stay. and the spice? 🙄 BORING. like a couple of paragraphs boring. short with no details. and omg her sister! we never even find out what was going on with her and again, THAT IS WHY SHE MOVED ACROSS THE COUNTRY. also has this writer ever met a black woman??? the way her hair is described drove me crazy. i give it two stars because at least i was able to finish it.
I really like this book. Great plot, interesting characters. Kane is obsessed to a disturbing point, yes. He has demons inside him – a violent strike that needs a way to be released. And he has found that way out in the form of fighting. So, the talented – calculating, ruthless, fearless on and off the ice – hockey player doubles as a fighter (even if it’s unofficial and under wraps at first). Natasha becomes his obsession at first sight. She is his – she just doesn’t know it yet. He is patient and calculating, he is determined to follow her to the end of the world (and he actually does!). Wherever she is, he goes. Natasha has a lot to jungle. Her carrier, her sister, her future. She has no time for love, and she certainly has no time for Kane, despite her initial and undeniable attraction. Her sister, whom she basically raised, gets into trouble, but refuses to tell. Natasha does everything in her power to help her. But Kane is there – again and again to become her one constant, the one she can depend on. So reluctantly she finds herself drawn to him, relying on him, seek him. And he definitely doesn’t disappoint. They complement and balance each other. She doesn’t try to change him, she just accepts him for who he is. I liked their journey to HEA and the rollercoaster of events that led there. 4 stars.

This is the second book I’ve read by Kelani Knox, and I have to say—it was better than the first. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Natasha was a genuine, tough, and loyal FMC, and Kane… well, Kane was a lot—intense, broody, and completely fixated on Natasha. I loved their dynamic, and I loved them both as characters.
That said, I wanted more. More depth. More backstory—especially for Kane. We got glimpses of who they were, but not enough to really connect with them on a deeper level. This story had all the ingredients to be a five-star read for me, but it needed more focus on character development and less filler. Some scenes felt unnecessary, while others felt rushed or dropped in without context.
Natasha’s sister, for example, was frustrating throughout. Her random outburst at Natasha made little sense, especially since we didn’t have the context or background to understand where it was coming from. Then suddenly, she’s been dating someone for months and is moving out? That came out of nowhere and could’ve been impactful if it had been built up properly.
Overall, this book was enjoyable. It had strong characters, intense chemistry, and a gritty edge I liked. But with a tighter plot and more emotional depth, it could’ve truly stood out.
I love a stalker romance. BUT!!! what was this ??? It was good in ways that made me highlight half the boom but it lacked something I can’t name… for example her sister Niki it really built up this dead the entire book yet we get nothing it’s like being edged with no release the. At the end of the book Niki has a man…? Since when and how??? Like idk it just seemed lackluster and it’s annoying me. Also Kane and Natasha… wow he was a crazy one everything you want in a stalker romance but somehow it felt hollow like they would Take ten steps forward then thirty back in between chapters in confused me I can’t lie… idk it just wasn’t what I was looking for even the point the spicy scenes I was skimming ( they wee delicious tho ) bc I wanted to get to the end of the book I know this author has written better it’s why she’s one of my faves but in reality I can’t fully get behind this book. It’s like no real events happened in this book if you know what I mean. No driving factor of force
Spoilers (which normally I HATE!) This book was good but left so many unanswered questions. Why did Tasha have to become a "mother" to her sister? Their parents divorced, not died. Why was Kane so angry? Abuse? neglect?... What was Nikki into? Prostitution? Gambling... what? When/ where did Nikki meet Jason? The repetition of some quotes was irritating. There were many glaring points.🤔 One huge reason I gave 3 stars was the intensity of Kane!🥵 Who wouldn't want to be the object of someone's singular attention and abject affection? I liked that they both were driven by their passion in both work and love. These are ALL my opinions and should take nothing away from Ms. Knox's talent! Just my opinion and observations.
Kelani has hit it out of the park with this one!!! If you like Dark, Broody, Alpha men with a lot of intensity this is your book. I was totally enthralled with this story. Kane sees Natasha as she does her routine for the hockey team and he is instantly drawn to her. He finds himself following her and getting to know everything there is to know about her. Kane is super intense barely saying a word, but watches her with an intensity that she has never felt before. There is something about this man that draws her to him. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat I loved every moment of this book. If you like dark, intense, touch her or die hero. This is your book!!
I enjoyed the story overall. It did leave me with unanswered questions. Like what was Nikki really into? What happened to Mason after Kane left the warehouse? This story doesn't exactly fit the grumpy hockey player falls for the sunshine female main character. Natasha is not exactly sunshine material. She's a strong woman, that loves her sister deeply and uproots her career to watch out for her. My other question is what happened with her parents that she (Natasha) had to raise Nikki. I will read from the author again and try to adapt to her writing style.
Kane Cross had this burning in his soul that only fighting could soothe until he first saw Natasha Reynolds. He was drawn to be wherever she was. This initially frightened her, but she was drawn to him at the same time. Her sister Nikki, needed her more, which caused Natasha to move 3000 miles to be her support. She thought she would finally get some peace of mind until she realized that Kane transferred to Cali to be near her. She should be afraid of her stalker, but she finds herself more drawn to him the more she's around him. She slowly accepts him for who he is. He finds his savage beast calming the more he's around her. He has learned how to control his inner rage and keep it under lock and key, only letting it out to protect Natasha. Only Natasha!
This book is T TOTALLY WORTH THE READ. No matter how you slice it, dice it and serve it up. It’s worth the time to read and savor the entire book. The characters and the chemistry will DEFINITELY keep you intrigued and excited.
I am totally into this series and hope that there are more.
Any opinions, recommendations, or suggestions expressed within this review our Solely and uniquely made by me. I originally and voluntarily had received in advance copy of this book via Bsprout.
I must admit, the title threw me off.. but this book is so cute. Not flowery cute. Dangerously, deliciously, dark cute. If I go into everything I like, I’ll run out of characters so let me name a few: I love Kane I love Nat I love their relationship and how it came about I love an intense, dark MC I love a strong but soft FMC What I did not like was the rushed ending (SPOILER) The ending with Mason, Nikki somehow figuring stuff out and getting with Jason, Nat moving in just like that etc. Fabulous book, regardless!
It was obsession at first sight for Kane, and it fueled his career because wherever Natasha went, he made sure he was there as well keeping his eye on the prize all the time closing the gap between them. This intriguing story drew me in as I connected with these characters as Kane planned his path to happiness with Natasha.

If you are looking for a great stalker story then this is one to read. We follow Kane who has an obsession with Natasha and follows her everywhere she goes to make sure she is the one he wants and he bides his time and never lets her out of his sight because she is his prize at the end of the journey. Obsession, romance, steam and heat. I thoroughly enjoyed their story and would definitely recommend it!

This is my 2nd book by Kelani Knox & I forgot how captivating & mesmerizing her story telling skills are😀I know I shouldn’t love 🏑 God, Kane Cross, but somehow I do 😍! His barely controlled darkness, violence, obsession, possessive intensity & single minded pursuit of what he wants is terrifying & exciting😘I’m glad he & Natasha found their HEA , because she gets him! She is his person & wholly accepts all of him and helps him find peace, love & rays of light! Happy Reading🍷
I love that Kane and Natasha got their HEA. What made this book different from the others was that Natasha recognized and accepted him for what he was. She wasn’t put off by what he was it was more of the chase and intrusion in the beginning. Good end to the series, though I would’ve like more closure on what Nikki was actually into. My assumption is that it all had to do with Mason. Good read nonetheless.
Or obsessive Hero tries to ease his way into our heroine's affections but realizes he missed the mark when she skips town. What's a guy to do but get himself traded to a new team and stalk her until she finds his attention not so creepy. Love the dialogue with the other ice girls and the team and the pace of their relationship worked for this scenario better than the first book in the series. I mistakenly read them out of order.
Kane became obsessed with Natasha at first sight and a years worth of planning and stalking her across the country, he finally has her in his grasp, and he's playing for keeps! Well written steamy obsessive, stalker, ice sports romance.

I wanted to like this book but I couldn't get over the grammatical errors. Some parts were so repetitive, it had to be copied and pasted from previous pages. The characters lacked depth. The author introduced subplots that were never mentioned again. The book even switches from FIRST person narration to THIRD person narration RANDOMLY for just ONE sentence. It made NO sense.
One of the few books I’ve read that I could barely put down. I kept looking for breaks in my routine where I could read a chapter here or there. I love a good hockey romance but this was so much more. I love dark romance and this had all the right tropes. I absolutely LOVE Kane!
This was my second time reading a book by this author and I liked it! It was well written, has some steam and heat, developed characters and was entertaining! It moved a little bit slow for me but overall good storytelling and keeping the reader engaged.
Very intensely well written…. Entertaining and so very good…. Story turned into a sensationally sexy as hell book…. Looking forward to reading more from this writer…
You cannot help loved Kane , well I mean the readers ! lol, I know I did. It took one special lady to help him “contain “ his demons and find peace. It’s a slow burn, but it will keep you enthralled to the very end. Kane is not everybody cup of tea, but his capacity to love his Natasha has took a whole different level. Loved it !!
