Jenna Richards was the apple of her parent's eyes. In high school she was the Prom Queen, voted most likely to succeed, star athelete, validictorian, and received a full ride scholarship for college. But...things change when bad things happen. Will she be able to overcome her inner demons or merely succumb to them?
I started reading this book late in the evening thinking I'd get through a few chapters and head to bed for the night and pick it back up in the morning. Oh how wrong I was. Immediately, I was sucked in and feeling Jenna's pain and anger alongside her. Tammy wove this story from start to finish with the finest threads leaving no detail left out. What was most surprising to me about this book though, was the number of twists and turns involved. Just when I thought I knew how the rest of the story would play out she surprised me with a hard left turn that redirected Jenna's path. Needless to say, I finished the book before going to bed and can't wait to pick it up again in the future. Until then, this pleasant surprise will have a cozy home amongst many other favorite books on my shelf.
This book had me hooked from the start. The fact that it's a quick read makes it even better and harder to put down! The detail in the characters stories being told in such a short amount of time is mind boggling, an incredible talent. Highly recommend reading this book on a gloomy Sunday afternoon.
