Deceived 6 - Ultimate Deception

Rate this book
I am aware of nothing. There is black then white, then cold. I try to open my eyes. A wave of confusion washes over me. Is it morning? Where am I? And why can’t I remember anything?

When Chloe Collins wakes up from an induced coma she has no recollection of what happened and how she ended up in a hospital. Because of her weakened state of health, she is unable to fly back to New York and must stay in Miami until her baby is born. Having an aversion to hospitals, she’s relieved when Nina Hastings opens up her mansion for Chloe to recover. Little does she know that she’s just walked into the lion’s den.

Will Chloe discover Nina’s secret before it’s too late?

I am a true romantic at heart and with a modern contemporary erotic twist to my romance novels, you had better fasten your seat belt, as the ride is always fun, exciting and fiery.
Living in Las Vegas, but a mid-westerner at heart, I find plenty of inspiration for my books in my own exciting life. I have always loved the arts and as a young girl, I took dance classes and spent the summers reading books from the local library. Fascinated with the written word and its power to guide the imagination, I started writing short stories and later took Creative Writing classes in college. I graduated from The University of Iowa with a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Higher Education. I also have a Teaching Credential from Chapman University in Southern California.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the novel. You can email me directly at evecarterbooks@gmail.com and if you enjoyed the book, please share your excitement with other fans of women’s erotic romance. You can write a review by clicking here: Deceived Part 1 – New York

With Chloe and Baby still in the hospital after her accident, Patrick will not leave her side. When Chloe waits up from being in an induced coma, she remembers nothing. Not wanting to stay in the hospital, Nina offers her place and hopefully can trigger memories. Patrick has his suspicion about Nina and when Nina comes onto him he now knows something is up. When finally the truth comes out, they finally get on with their lives? Patrick and Chloe have been through so much they deserve to finally be happy

Wow freaking amazing, wonderful, exciting, and so much love. I didn't think this series would ever end. But I have to admit this last book was what I was looking a HEA. Not another cliffhanger. I loved Chloe and Patrick, bringing plenty of love and drama to the story. Those two being in love with each other was like breathing. They craved it. Patrick and Chloe journey was adventurous and too many obstacles. They overcame all of their obstacles and i got my HEA. Nina was treacherous; I was speechless. I couldn't believe she set this whole thing up because of her sister, which is still in prison. Nina's disappearing was the worst. Patrick and Chloe manage to get to the end hopefully it will last. Chloe didn't loose the baby and own their way to having another. And oh my gosh Ryan and Liam what a beautiful wedding. All the characters became one big happy family, Ryan, Liam, Elyse, and Ricky. It was definitely an awesome book.

"Ultimate Deception" had so much potential to be a home run for the end of a series. There were so many twists and turns throughout this short installment. I was disappointed with the end. The end was rushed and left with a pretty large string hanging. There was no justice served. I always enjoy a happy ending and it was great to read all the characters you loved in the series wrap up in a joyful scenario.

Overall this was a good series and it did get better with every book but I feel like it ends with somewhat of a cliffhanger as Nina is not caught. This couple was put through the wringer, I wanted an HEA not an HFN.

Ultimate Deception picks up where New Beginnings left off. By the end of this installment of the series, I can only hope there is another book for the series. Patrick and Chloe's journey has been very adventurous and filled with many obstacles. Yet these two have continued to overcome those obstacles in search of their happy ending. Now the couple is faced with the treacherous actions of Nina. Will Chloe and Patrick survive Nina's actions? Or will they fall victim yet again to the schemes of someone out to destroy them? I highly recommend this series to others. It's a story I believe many will enjoy.

It's really hard for me to start a series and not finish it. I honestly didn't know there were two more books for this series, but I saw them and I knew I had to see how Chloe and Patrick's story ended. I wish I could say I enjoyed it, but I was just "meh". I didn't hate it, but I didn't enjoy it.
Everything was pretty predictable. I knew what was going to happen before the story ended. I am glad that everything worked out and all the characters got their HEA. So yea...that's all I have to say about that.

Heart Pounding

WOW. as usual Eve Carter has delivered another outstanding book! I love Patrick's and Chloe's story, the love, the passion, the commitment that is only viable in soulmates and Eve gives us this in every Deceive book that has been written. I can't wait for the next book, to see where they're journey takes us next

Another great book. I'm glad I bought this book. I could not wait to see how everything played out.
Patrick is a great man who does anything for his wife. Chloe is a wonderful mother and wife.
Short book but it reads fast. Could not put it down once I started. No cliffhangers but leaves you with a few questions.

Chloe and Patrick still going strong. Chloe has no memory of the fall or anything. She was on bed rest till the baby came. Patrick thought something was wrong but couldn't put his finger on it until finding pictures. The drama unfolded but together with friend everything work out well. Love this series

What a lovely conclusion to the series, Patrick & Chloe are so good together.
Patrick is a loving, caring husband that protects his family and Chloe is a fantastic wife and mother.

Lets hope their troubles are behind them. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if Eve wrote more books about these two or their friends, especially Ryan & Liam.

I couldn't imagine having memory loss like Chloe did. It was heartbreaking at first, but Patrick came through as the man we all know he is, and Chloe is one lucky woman. Being a mom myself, I couldn't even imagine the idea of what Patrick and Chloe did with a brand new baby. The love was definitely there between them and it showed as the journey continued.

I could not start this book fast enough after I finished #5. I had to know what happened to Chloe! Yet again I was not let down. I love all the angst Patrick and Chloe went through and how they seemed to stay grounded within one another. This was the perfect tie up to all of the other books. Well written and thought out.

OK

It appears the series will continue, but I am so sorry to say it will be without me. It could have been a very good novel or even a trilogy, but 6 parts and more coming - just no. Too much fluff and in depth unnecessary descriptions, not enough plot.

Loved!

This whole series was a great read. I have always been a fan of books that have 300 or more pages per book. But these did a great job with pulling you in, picturing the scene playing out. I recommend this series to my friends.

Fantastic ending

This book was a perfect ending to Chloe and Patrick's story. I was so excited that we also got closure on the other characters that we've come to know. I'm thrilled that Chloe and Patrick finally got the happy ending they deserved!

It was a good read, my only complaint is you didn't find out what happen to Nina, so this made the story incomplete for me.
