3.5 🩷 Cute but a little boring!
Liv is adorably smitten by the local grumpy electrician. Julius was by far my favorite part of the story!!! He wasn’t actually grumpy but adorably shy and inexperienced.
The smuttiness in the second part of the story was brilliant but mamma why so little 😭 Alexa Riley writes the most incredible CUTE SMUT ~ shy characters overwhelmed by dirty desire ~ and I wish she leaned more into it with this one.

Yup, as the title says, it's so f*cking cute. 🤭
This is a novella, so everything moves at the speed of light; also, this is AR—it's kind of their thing.
Anyway, Liv and Julius were just adorable together. She has been crushing on him for months now. He moved to their town not too long ago, and the moment she saw him, it was an instant attraction. Tbf, it wasn't a one-sided attraction; he also felt the same way for her. But he was too shy to go after her. Then one day, when another guy kissed Liv on the cheek, Julius finally decided to pull his head out of his ass and go after the woman that he wants. Well, I guess readers know how this will go. 🤭
Anyway, like I said, it was cute. I love how talkative and straightforward Liv is. I always cheer on women who go after what they want and won't let anything get in their way. You go, girl! 👏 I also like Julius in general, though him taking too long to finally pursue her made him a bit beta in my eyes. 🫣 He really sure took his sweet time. Despite that, they just really complement each other, and I'm here living for it.
Overall, it was a short, quick read. And I'm excited to read Lane and Sawyer's book. Their dislike (one-sided, it seems) to love theme made me curious and giggly with their interactions. 😁 So, here's to their upcoming story. 🥂

I LOVED IT! It reminded me when Alexa Riley would write dual virgin books a long time ago! THIS IS WHAT I WAS CRAVING! I am still all smiles!
So our hero Julius is an electrician, he is shy and kind of brooding. He only ever felt lust and love for one woman (as it always should be if I could wave a magic wand), and it is our sweet sunshine with pink hair, Liv. He buys all the trinkets and furniture she makes because he says she makes it with love and he wants to be surrounded by her love until he gets the courage to ask her out. We have Lane who is Liv's twin and a man by the name of Sawyer, who is romantically interested in Lane (I think their book is next), but he gives a chaste kiss on Liv's cheek in order to make Julius jump into action to claim her. WORRY NOT! Sawyer has ZERO interest in her, he just wanted to make Julius get into gear and finally claim Liv! It worked!
The story is sweet, with no angst. The witty banter was fun, the flirting between the two was sexy and I just enjoyed this light rom com. There is no pushing away, our hero is sweet and so innocent as is our heroine, just how I like it!! He is so smitten and flustered which is endearing and she blushes as well. When he puts his shyness aside for her and looks her in the eyes pouring his heart out to her, it is so romantic. There is a big misunderstanding because of his jealous cousin who works hard to ruin their relationship, but Julius and Liv are so in love that NOTHING would separate them. The bimbo waitress thrusting her tits in his face, well that happened and he turned around with a look of disgust, but Liv saw it and rushed out in tears. To his horror, he saw that to Liv, it must look like he is looking at the stupid waitresses tits, when in fact he just turned and they were there. He did not like the unwanted OW attentions, grumbling his order dismissing her, but that lead to a distressed Liv and a very confused Julius who just wanted to clear to air.
All is well that ends well, and I do encourage you to read it! If you enjoy couples who discover, sex, intimacy and experience all their firsts together, then you will love this! If you love sweet, innocent, shy gentle giants who is also a beast in the sheets, then you will fall in love with Julius like I have. Yes, the erotica in this is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
I enjoyed it and I really hope that Sawyer and Lane are also a dual virgin couple! I am crossing fingers and toes pleading Alexa Riley to gift us another dual virgin couple! Pretty please with two cherries on top!
I will be rereading this, it lifted my spirits and made my hopelessly romantic heart happy, and I cannot wait for the next book!

So let me get this straight. This woman… takes over this furniture store from her parents (who basically thought to themselves, okay, let’s pack up and go to the Caribbean and Florida because we hate the weather here. Not gonna lie, I get it.)
And so they took over the furniture store (she and her twin) and her twin is super talented, makes all of the furniture… and the only thing that she can do is paint it in ugly patterns… in ugly colors and ruin furniture…. a grown woman, by the way…
And then there’s this guy who basically always stutters around her and who is obsessed with her. (To be honest, that was the only thing I enjoyed properly about this book.) The way this guy stuttered was super cute, I’m not gonna lie. But that’s it. She was painting ugly ass furniture, no one was buying it, and she thought to herself, “oh I love to create!” … and no shade…. you don’t create good enough. Like if you like to create, you should create something nice. I’m not even trying to be mean, the truth hurts. And then when she asked herself, “maybe I should stop doing it because I’m putting us into the negative with my projects”… I was also thinking to myself, yeah girl, obviously… duh.
But obviously her boyfriends fed into her delulu and encouraged her to keep doing what she was doing. (Like boy shut up, you know her furniture is terrible.)
When he started buying furniture from her, (he was the only person who was buying her furniture) and was putting it into his home, that was cute because I was thinking, okay, he plans for her to come with him and live there.
Her talking about social media (for me personally) is always an ick. I think especially if you talk about TikTok on the regular and your age starts with a two….it’s over for you. It’s so over for you. I’m really not trying to be rude, but that’s how I see it. And that woman most definitely is over 25, so it basically doubles.
Yeah, I don’t know. This book wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t a sore to my eyes. But would I ever recommend it? No. Would I ever read it again? No. Will I remember this in a week? Probably not. Was this book well written? No. What kind of monologues and dialogues were those?? I somehow felt as though a teenager wrote this.
I wouldn’t say it was okay, because it wasn’t okay. It was worse than mid. But you can bring yourself to read it. It’s not terrible. It’s not the kind of thing where you always have to shake your head at the plot… but at the same time, this book isn’t long enough for stuff like that to happen. I think it had 136 pages on my phone… so it’s even shorter in real book page length.
Yeah… a mess. It was a mess.

Finally got to reading this lol

although i still like the 2nd book better aka Lane and Sewyer's book.
i loved Julius he was the perfect awkward shy grump. but Liv was a bit too much sometimes. I REALLY liked her at first, she was super cute with her little crush on Julius, but when they got together she became annoying
for instance Julius'd cousin troy is a sleazebag who constantly lied to liv to try and make julius look bad. calling him a cheater and stalker, and when all of that didn't work, he took pictures of liv, when she was half naked and intimate with Julius and blackmailed her with them, and when Julius was going to beat Troy's face out, she stopped him and told him that he " scared him enough " and he won't do it again and literally laughed at the situation, like excuse me??? let him at least let him get a punch in on the asshole for trying to post your nudes.

Wow, one of my favorite couples and probably my favorite hero!

Julius is the biggest freaking sweetheart, my heart could barely handle it🥹
I tend to not enjoy the epilogues that much, especially these days, but this one was so so sweet🥹🥹🥹
I usually don’t like sex in the epilogues cause it’s a bit boring and usually the couple has children and there’s like sometimes this weird thing where they kinda neglect their kid to have sex in the epilogue but this one was perfect even with the sex in it! Julius was so sweet to his girl😭❤️

Es una historia entretenida, corta y rápida de leer, me encantó desde un inicio lo dulce y atento que es el protagonista Rhodes deberían existir más como el y Quinn también también era tan linda, me gustó mucho como se desarrollo todo aunque si me hubiera gustado ver más sobre su relación es que son tan lindos 💕 😍

First half of the book I loved. I was very into the characters and the set up. We were slow rolling into the relationship, he was super shy, she was trying to get his attention not realizing she already had it then BAM it made a major turn in tone and felt like the second half was written by someone else. The author tried to squeeze way too much story into the second half, Mr shy and inexperienced was now sexytime guy and then it ended. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t very satisfying.

Mmmm, este libro no fue lo que esperaba. Siento que le falto más salseo. Empecé a leer este libro porque quería leer el segundo, y ya no quiero seguir leyendo esto jejje, las vueltas que da la vida.
