[Siren Publishing: The Lynn Hagen ManLove Collection: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Cowboy Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, HEA]
Robby Newton was tired of living with a tyrannical father so he decided to take off and take his chance with the world. Before leaving town, Robby stopped at the Big Bear Ranch to say goodbye to his brother Isaac. While in the kitchen getting some tea, a man walked in and Robby knew he was in trouble.
Gregory Shott thought someone had broken into his home and was making himself cozy. To his dismay, it was the most handsome robber he'd ever seen. But instead of calling the cops, Shott tried to talk the man into turning his life around. When Isaac walks in and introduces the burglar as his brother, Shott decided he wanted the man for himself. But someone is out to kill Robby and Shott must not only protect the man, but try to convince Robby to stay. Robby is determined to walk out the door and start his new life—a life that doesn’t include Shott.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
Soooooooooooo, I’ve read 11 books about bear shifters impregnating men.
Was it fun?
Was it weird?
But
This book was really up there in weird bear shifter lala land. Because, we got Santa Clause dropping buy! Yes, Santa. He even brought two short little helpers along.
This was totally over the top ridiculousness. I wish there were more books in this series.
So cute. Loved Kris (Santa), the hippy van driver, and his helpers! They kinda made the story. I didn't really get the demon thing but I skipped a few in the series so maybe that's why. Are these little books great? Not even close but they are entertaining and fun for a quick, easy read. Also, I wasn't sure if Shott was a shifter or not. He said that he wasn't surprised by the shifting anymore because of his friends and their kids but Robby was his mate and he got his preggers so I'm confused. Again, should have read these in order. Either way, it was a nice holiday-type story.
My problem is did we REALLY need to introduce the van guys and their clean up at the end was just tooo easy. Snap and negate all the bad stuff AND give someone else a gift also (Isacc). Thee's miracles and then just over the top blatant and these guys weren't enough into the mysterious for me. I'm sure a lot of others will disagree with that but that's MY take on it. Although I did enjoy it.
Okay so I changed my mind. This book was my favorite of the series. There were a few reasons why I didn't love it 5 stars worth. 1. There has to be a story for Mason. 2. There needs to be a story for Simon as well. 3. The 3 guys in the van turning out to be what they were was just a little weird for this story and went into cheesy territory for me. 4. I so want more details on parenthood for all of them, especially those that couldn't have kids and now can...... But overall this was a really good book. I enjoyed reading how Shott wore down Robbies defenses and they fell in love.
What a very cute story, I love that add of Kris and Dave and Tom and who Kris ended up being i so not thinking that I thought maybe t-rex sent them to look after shott and Robby but what an cute twist.
Lynn Hagen is a wonderful author, all the books draw you in. This is a great story about Shott & Robbie, with some extra special help. Another great addition to the series, can't wait to see what is next.....
Another outstanding book in this series I have loved it since it started and can't wait to read the next one when it comes out ..I hope it's soon .....
Dear lynn, all your Bear County books are 5 star plus. I love all your characters, and exciting twisty plots since my husband died, my nights would've been pretty lonely without your stories thanks a million, Linda B
What I love about this author is that she gives you variety with her characters. Fierce, quirky, funny, serious. You fall in love with them. I’m waiting for Burt Valentino’s story in the feline stories from the Grizzly ride and Howling Cavern series.
Robby the bear shifter sets out on his own in the middle of winter to get away from his homophobic family and ends up at big bear ranch where he mates Shott
