In this erotic anecdote an arrogant young heartbreaker is forced to confront his demons - Sean Harris meets Jasmine, Terai and Gina. As the story unfolds secrets get revealed and lives get altered. Each woman will set a separate chain of events into motion that will flip his world upside down causing him to question his Hedonistic ways.
Lady Kismet will wrap you in its arms and enthrall you for the duration of the story. Its erotic twist and sometimes dark comedic perspective is a breath of fresh air that will leave you addicted and clamoring for more.
Every decision in life no matter how small has a reactionary consequence and Sean will soon find out that it's no fun when the rabbit has the gun.
I enjoyed the plots and twists in this story. Sometimes, just when you think you have it figured out, the author throws in a new loop...gotta love that.
When, I first started to read this story, I didn't feel much for Sean. He was a manwhore, always thinking about where, when and how he was going to score next. Then he meets Terai, who throws him for a loop and ends up actualy finding out there is more to her than he first expected. Jasmine, a co-worker, plays him just like he plays women to a degree. Finally, there's Gina, married to a doctor at his work. Between juggling three women at once, his karma comes back and gives him a big bite. By the end of the book, you actually start to feel bad for Sean, because he finally realizes he's been blowing off growing up. By the end, not only has he grown up, he has a house instead of renting and is expecting his first child.
Would definitely reccomend this book to anyone that likes to see things come around through trials and tribulations. One where someone finally realizes there is more to life than what is before you.
Thank you.... Lavar Amare for a delightful book...
When I first received Lady Kismet I was ready to read a story that was predictable and like all the others out there, but that was not the case. From the moment I started reading, the author captivated me and held my attention until the end. This story has a little bit of everything romance, comedy, infidelity, love and hot sex. The storyline flows smoothly and gives you just the right amount of back story the readers need to follow the character(s). In my opinion, main character Sean Harris was written not to portray a perfect man, or a man that always does the right things and makes the right choices, but was written as a real man with flaws, with real life issues and moral decisions that need to be made whether they are right or wrong. Author Lavar Amare, has written the most realistic story I have ever read. Lady Kismet is a book everyone should read and will walk away very pleased in every way imaginable.
This was my first read by author Lavar Amare. Overall, the book was okay, and I will admit that I liked it. The story line was pretty good, and I liked the characters, although I think they could have been fleshed out a bit more. There were some hilarious parts in the book, that made me think back to my "clubbing" days. I'd definitely like to read something else by this author.
This was my first book by this author & I truly enjoyed it! Easy read with great characters that intertwine with each other. I felt the book to be very REAL with Sean's day to day life. Laughing out loud moments threw out the book that only added to the book being that much better! Lady Kismet is steamy & a page turner from beginning to end.
Lady Kismet is a must read! A book like no other...Great characters, a really good story line, so real and easy to read. When I finished the book I couldn't believe that this book (which is not like other books of the gender) hooked me the way it did ...it surprise me and make me want more about Lavar Amare.
I enjoyed this book. The characters drew you in and you thought you had it fiqured out and bam you could not be more wrong. I loved how it shared his thoughts thru out the book. I love how the bad boy finally fiqures out what life is about. Nicely done Lavar. I can not wait to see what you come out with next.
This book is definitely from a males POV. Love how Lavare used his male character Sean to describe a males perspective on dating and women in general. It was enlightening. The story was a complete circle from the start to the end that will keep your attention, keep you entertained, and keep you guessing until the end.
