Tis a beautiful tale! A very beautiful tale! I enjoyed it so much. My favorite story was Unmasqued, an Ugly Duckling retelling. 🫶 it was SO well done and kept me entranced for sure! Highly recommend this anthology, y’all. Go support these authors if at all possible by preordering and ordering their anthologies. And write an honest review.

-I read the arc for this and as I have done so, these are my completely honest thoughts 😉

Another incredible fairytale retelling collection!! Dedications in books mean so much to me and I truly love the preface the authors make for their book with the dedications. To me it sets the mood for what I am about to read and I just have to call out specifically in this collection, Unmasqued by Deigan Marie, thank you for a beautiful dedication that really hit my heart along with an incredible story!! ♥️♥️

‘To every boy who has ever felt less than...
To every girl who has even hidden their hearts...
To every soul who’s ever had a lie define them...
To every person who’s ever been called an ugly duckling...
This story is for you.’

All of these stories in this collection weave together beautiful fairytale retellings, magic, anticipation, romance, and I had pure joy while reading these stories!!

Thank you to the authors and the publisher for the complimentary copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This set of three novellas was great!
The first, a 12 dancing princess retelling, was interesting and I enjoyed the world-building and concept.
The second, a ugly duckling retelling, had beautiful themes of not hiding the parts of us that are different, but growing to love ourselves and others for all of who they are.
The third, a snow white retelling, i loved the Japanese folklore twist to the story! It was very fun. I think this ended up being my favorite in the set (though all the stories were close, i just loved this ones setting a lot!)
Romance: all have very light clean romance. Only the second story has any kissing. (Only stated as they kissed)
no other content to be concerned about- no language, low violence (there's things like attempted poisoning, injury stuff like that. but not at all descriptive.)
I received an ARC i was not required to give a good review.
