I enjoyed this well-rounded romance mainly because the main characters were unique. The setting was unique as was the relationship between their jobs.

Both characters had a lot of baggage to overcome and a great deal of healing to do before their relationship worked, but they didn't give up!

Faith played a strong part in this story. The book is completely clean in language and content.

I borrowed this paperback from the local public library.

The Forest Ranger's Rescue by Leigh Bale was a wonderful book. I enjoyed it very much. Brent Knowles wife was killed a year ago and his daughter, Evie was it all happen. Because of the trauma, Evie doesn't talk. Brent and Evie run into Jill Russell in town one day when Evie was running away from a gas station. A gas station is where her mother was killed. Jill catches Evie and hold her and talks to her to sooth her. Jill is a special education teacher. Jill is home to visit her mother and brother. Her brother runs a saw mill that Brent is investigating for stealing timber at night. A lot goes on in this story. You have to read the book to see if Jill's brother is guilty and if Evie talks again and what happens between Jill and Brent. A must read.

In this book, we meet Brent, a forest ranger. He is trying to help his daughter who watched as her mother was murdered. She hasn't spoken since the event, and the only person who has ever been able to get through to her was Jill. She's in town to help her family - rumors are going around that her brother is being accused of stealing trees - and it just so happens that Brent is the one she's mad at.

There is a hit of suspense in this book as Brent and Jill try to figure out who and what. It's one of those books that just gets to you - watching the little girl suffer and watching Jill kept left in the dark about what's really going on.

The romance was okay. The ending was very sweet.

Forest Rangers and mill owners don't mix. And when there is lumber theft going on, they definitely don't mix. Throw in one little girl who hasn't spoken in a year, and a special Ed teacher, never mind that she's the mill owner, and you have a connection. So how do you get around the ranger/owner conflict?

Leigh Bale writes a wonderful story that builds plenty of emotional conflict and makes you wonder how in the world they can work around the opposing worlds. And throws in a wonderful little girl to steal your heart. This was a fun, interesting and emotional story to read. Well done, Leigh! Loved it!!!

Not quite a full five star review but only because it was a simple fluff read for me and I have read much deeper stuff and I started to think this series has a reading level of sixth to seventh grade. I'm NOT trying to bash it. I am a high advance reader even for someone who is nearing 40, I read these things cause it's a good comfy story, I love the Christian message in it and it does work with what I am personally dealing with, but compared with Beaded Hope Beaded Hope was better, stronger and my emotions was all over the place. This is a good simple read for the summer if you want a good romance that is not torrid, it's sweet and makes you go awwwww.
