Thoroughly enjoyed this story about Sage Matthews and Cole Sinclair, and I don't know why I didn't review it before since I read it months ago. At any rate, the chemistry between these two is off the charts, and Cole sounds absolutely delicious.
This is an enemies to lovers story, and while the couple may have started off at odds with each other, they end up in sizzling romance that includes a trip to Italy and a business compromise they can both live with. A very enjoyable read.
There hasn't been a book written yet by Phyllis Bourne that I haven't enjoyed, and that record continues with this book. I really enjoyed Cole and Sage's story. This is a couple that was clearly meant to be together. After their first sexual encounter was kind of glossed over, I assumed that not much detail was going to be provided about any encounters that followed. Wrong! These two were smoking hot!
As usual, Ms. Bourne brings humor to the story, along with interesting secondary characters. Loved the lipstick names. And the Valentine Day events put on by both Sage and Cole were great ideas - I wouldn't mind attending either one IRL!
Laugh-out-loud good! Sage owns Stiletto, the small, trendy, glamorous cosmetic company that appeals to the young crowd. Cole inherited Expresso Cosmetics from his mother and is ridiculed for making "Grandma-looking pancake make-up." So Cole decides to force Sage to sell her company to him because he thought she was a weak push-over. Well Sage has a huge surprise for Mr. Cole when she tells him to "bring it!" Hilarious!
Once again Ms Bourne has given us a great story filled with humor and love. Sage Matthews and Cole Sinclair are characters who will keep you on your toes. Read Moonlight Kisses to see just how they worked it out using the phrases "Bring It", "Trust Me", "Save It", "General", "Lick Me", "General", "Bad Ass", "Admiral", and "Trust Me" just to name a few.
An amazing story of two people who were truly each others better half. Sage had to learn how to trust and lean on others Cole was looking for absolute trust from the second woman that he loved. They both had to learn to trust each other and themselves together as a couple. Totally recommend this book.
Very compelling story about two driven people, Sage and Cole, who after losing their mothers and dedicating themselves to similar careers, cross paths and similarities and love in each other.
This book sizzles. The tension between the characters is great. The emotional tug between them and the conflict made this a 'read in one sitting' book. I couldn't put it down, and I'll definitely be reading more by this author. Also - female entrepreneur - one of my favourite tropes :)
Cole Sinclair and Sage Matthews were a match in every way possible, personally and professionally. Loved the romantic, sexy vibe that Phyllis displayed in this story.
I love all of Ms. Bourne's books, and this one doesn't disappoint. Though not prominent on the cover, Moonlight Kisses is book 2 of the Espresso Empire series. A few characters from book 1 (Every Road to You) make small cameos in this book. Moonlight Kisses follows the story of Cole Sinclair, Tia's brother, and CEO of Espresso Cosmetics. After a glamorous publicity stunt (which I thought was hilarious), he meets Sage Matthews, CEO of Stiletto Cosmetics. This is a classic "enemies to lovers" story in which Cole is bent on buying Sage's company to reduce the competition, but Sage refuses his offer countless times. Their rivalry eventually buds into an unexpected love affair, and it takes off from there. Their affair takes them as far as Milan, Italy, where they meet an unexpected adversary that eventually forces Cole and Sage to choose what is best for their companies and their future.
This is a sweet contemporary story that will appeal to everyone. Fashion and cosmetic enthusiasts would definitely enjoy this book. There's plenty of humor, love, and everything in between. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!
My kind of novel. Could not put it down.. Sage reminds me of a Native New Yorker who takes no prisoners and asks questions later. Who would not want to fall in love with a Cole Sinclair. Great job of cosmetics line in completion. Realistic and a great page turner. Can we all have a Loretta and Amelia to love?
I liked the main characters--and I love finding romances between two similar characters instead of the pervasive opposite-attracts--and Bourne is so great with the little details that make her characters and worldbuilding feel dynamic. On the downside, the way the drag queen character was used for humor and mockery was kind of shitty.
What A Great Read!!!! Moonlight Kisses is sizzling hot and funny. The chemistry between the two main characters are smoking. I truly enjoyed reading Sage's and Cole's story. I'm looking forward to reading more of Phyllis Bourne's work.
From the moment Sage Matthews and Cole Sinclair meet they are competitive but the chemistry between them is sizzling. Cole is ready to take it to the next level, but can Sage learn to compromise and trust?
Fast paced funny entertaining. Cole and Sage were both driven by love for their mothers. The passion they have for their communities fueled their love and passion for each other. Loved it.
Won't give up any spoilers since this actually comes out next month, bbbuuuuttttt ... this was such a GREAT PAGE TURNING BOOK! I couldn't put it down and boy was it hot and full of passion and fire!
