I had never read any books from this series before, and really enjoying suspense, I was pulled into this book. Featuring great characters, Frank a military criminal investigator, and Colleen fleeing from a drug dealer while trying to gather evidence against the person, Trey. The two characters meet after a tornado strikes an Amish town. I was quite surprised at how the book quickly draws you in and keeps you in suspense. I could not put it down; was an enjoyable read!

MY REVIEW
This was another good read by Debby, only the second one of her books that I've read, but I have enjoyed both of them now. I was on the edge of my seat sometimes and found it hard to put the book down. I like her writing style and will try to find some more of her books, I may just have to think about reading some more of her books. If you enjoy a good mystery you will enjoy this book.

Colleen Brennan lost her sister to drug overdose and as she found the police weren't quite sympathetic to her cause, she's keen to bring the drug dealer down on her own. As she was meeting a source, they were shot at and as they were speeding away, a tornado hit and she was Stranded in an area with strong Amish presence. She was found by a convalescent Army officer, Frank Gallagher, and as they found attraction to each other, they also needed to work on their trust issues.

While setting is in an area with an Amish community, the story had nothing at all to do with them. Colleen and Frank had to work together in finding the shooter and at the same, bust down the international drug operation. However, the mystery went deeper than either expected and it was a twist I didn't expect from this type of reads (not after the last 2 I read the last couple of days). Enjoyed the suspense and romance in this one a lot more too.

This is an intense, suspenseful story.

What I liked: The suspense starts with a bang from the beginning of the book, and it continues on to every page. Ms. Giusti adds twists and turns to the plot, and this makes the tension even stronger.

What I didn’t like: It’s hard to believe some of the actions of the main character, Colleen Brennan. She knows a man has tried to kill her several times and is still after her, yet she sneaks off by herself independently and does things that a woman fearful for her life would not do.

In spite of the minor complaints, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. Over all, I give it five stars. It was a fun read, and I highly recommend it to anyone loving suspense.

Stranded by Debby Giusti was a good book. If you want suspense then this is the book for you. A drug dealer is trying to kill Colleen Brennan. On a night with a tornado, Colleen ends up in a barn in an Amish community. The barn is hit trapping Colleen and a person she knows. Special Agent Frank Gallagher is on medical leave from the Army. It is his sisters barn that Colleen ends up in. They are not Amish. They live right next to the Amish community. Frank tries to help Colleen catch the guy that is after her. Colleen is hiding secrets, so is Frank which doesn't help their relationship. After the guy is killed, they thought Colleen was safe, but someone else they didn't figure on came into the picture. Suspense, Suspense. A good read.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE "Stranded"!!!!
By the top of the second page, I was hooked. It was like the author had opened a door, and I was engulfed in the world of the story! The story kept twisting and turning and spinning and swirling! I really, literally could hardly put it down. This is one of the top 5 books I have read in the past year (and that's saying a lot!!!!!). The language, the writing was vivid and full. The characters had hidden secrets that kept me guessing. It was just a Great Book!!!

"While part of the Military Investigations series, it could be read as a stand-alone. It flows evenly throughout, and the characters’ inner struggles are relatable" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).
