Rate this book
Seventeen year old Sam has had a tough life and upbringing. Sam has so many secrets, including the fact she is not a boy. Being hurt is something she is used to, so Sam is doesn't let it get to her when her aunt kicks her out for being a bad influence on her cousin.

Finding herself with the prospect of being homeless again, Sam answers a strange roommate ad requesting males only. She meets the McKinnons, four brothers trying to break into the music industry. Sam becomes close to Jay, the third brother, and Cian, the youngest, a fifteen year old troubled kid.

Sam soon realises she can sing, and with a bit of encouragement, becomes a member of the band, The New Gentlemen. There's bad blood between the McKinnon brothers and Will, the lead vocalist of the hottest newcomers in the UK. Will is beautiful boy that can make people weep with his voice alone. There's something familiar about Will even though she's never seen him until the day she first heard him sing.

Will takes an interest in her, but his interest comes too late. Sam only has eyes for Jay, the boy with the blue streaks in his hair. Surrounded by pretty boys, and mistaken for one, Sam navigates in a cruel, cold world, just trying to find somewhere she belongs, a place she can call home.

I write under the pen name of H.C. Shota. I chose a pen name, because I think it gives an author less restrictions in the genre they write in. At the moment I currently write romantic short stories, but in the future I would like to explore other genres someday, say fantasy for example.

I live a couple of hours away from London (roughly two and and a half hours.)
I enjoy the rainy weather of England. In fact winter is my favourite season.
