This might be my new favorite Kitty book! When I was young, I wanted to be an Egyptologist when I grew up, so this book was right up my alley. The story starts on a positive note, with good news for Margaret and a new job for Richard, but it takes a dark turn with murders, a cult and a possible human sacrifice. The Egyptian themed plot was exciting, and I loved all the twists and turns! I just adore these characters so I'm always happy when a new Kitty book comes out. I already can't wait for the next one! Apparently, Kitty will be time traveling? Unexpected, but I'm intrigued! Anyways, I highly recommend this series!

Intense!

I loved this book! Huge fan of all things Ancient Egyptian so the fact that the plot was centered around the mysteries of that culture was fabulous and fascinating. Richard turned out to be quite the entertaining surprise who knew he had that in him? I hope he’ll be in more stories to come. Lots of surprises and twists and a very intense final confrontation make this a can’t miss read imo!!

I thoroughly enjoy this series featuring Kitty Worthington and her group of investigators. This adventure was very interesting as it involved Egyptian mythology and the powers of the god Osiris. I learned various tidbits regarding Egyptian culture and found the journey to find the missing Miranda captivating.

I'm starting to wonder just how many ways Kitty's family and friends can find to get into trouble and be arrested. This story starts off well enough, but oh boy does it wander off into the realms of the ridiculous. And then to top all the ridiculousness Kitty decides to 'go it alone' and walks into the lions den (or should that be the den of Osiris or possibly Isis) to rescue a damsel in distress. And of course she gets caught - no surprise there then. Honestly, by this time I was quietly swearing at my Kindle. I find it slightly confusing, no scrap that, I find it very confusing that the women in stories of this type have to show how stupid they are just to prove how independent they are! Intelligence makes women independent not wilful ignorance. As a consequence the women end up a laughing stock. If we all behaved like this, it's a miracle we ever got the right to vote, let alone anything else.

Kitty Rescues Another Brother

Some day, I really would like to see the crew solve a murder that none of them are arrested for — in the meantime, this was fun. Kitty, of course, is too reckless and Scotland Yard shows up in the nick of time. I do love getting lost in a cosy mystery and this series is a classic. More clues than suspects in this one but the detectives are fashionably costumed, the refreshments are lovingly described, and everyone has someone to flirt with (or even love).

Ra, Isis, Osiris, add in greed and mental instability

Tying in to the Egyptian craze after King Turks tomb was discovered and excavated, this mystery focuses on Richard (we all know that every person close to Kitty will eventually be suspected of murder, right?) a bizarre cover story of cults, death and resurrection (no, not Christianity!) hide an evil plot to kill a young woman and take her fortune.

Don’t go in the dungeon

A good continuation of the series. Liked the plot until Kitty foolishly lets her self into the castle to search for the missing girl. Of course she is caught and nearly killed, rescued in the nick of time. Really!?
