Language 🤐: Moderate (Quite frequent no f-words)

Spice ❤️‍🔥: Fade to Black, relatively Descriptive, LV3

⚠️ Underage Drinking, Sexual temptation ( not sure that's really a trigger though)⚠️

Trope/ Micro Tropes
- Second Chance Romance
- High school Sweethearts
- Older Couple (29 and 28)
- Bible Study/ Faith Elements
- Nurse FMC
- Hunting guide MMC
- Small town
- Takes Care of her when sick

Jess and Ella story is very cute, it is a great second chance romance where old flames are kindled! It was fun getting introduced to Jess Jennings and all the Jennings family! I'm excited to see whaat the rest of the family stories will be like. It was interesting to read the flash backs to Jess and Ella in highschool and get that background as the current story unfolded. It was great to see them grow and develop together as characters and a couple. They worked together in helping one another grow and it was. Jess is the sweetest and attentive to Ella, and Ella is growing and learning to trust. They come together through their faith even when dealing with sexual temptations they are able to come together in and understanding and work to help one another.

This book is for you if you like second chance romance, where the characters grow through communicating through misunderstandings but choosing each other each time, fun banter and family dynamics.

Personally reading this a 3.75 stars but happily rounding that up for Goodreads. I was happy with how there was resolution after the sexual temptations happened, but as someone who because of religious reasons doesn't drink alcohol the underage drinking that was mentioned did bug me more then it might most people. I appreciated that it was called out in the end but didn't love some of the flash backs where it was involved and know that could just be a me thing. Overall a very enjoyable story!

Thanks Jordan for letting me be apart of your ARC team! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

DNF.

The MMC is very immature and judgmental. Maybe he’ll grow up and stop using his faith as a weapon to shame non believers into behaving the way he wants them to, but I’m not going to stick around to find out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This is my first book by Jordan Riley and I was honored to be an ARC reader this time around. This book is a solid 3.5 stars for me. I absolutely love a good second chance romance because I love rooting for a healed heart and this one didn’t disappoint. However, I wasn’t too crazy about the amount of “minor” arguments between the FMC and MMC. I felt like every chapter there was a topic or an issue that kept causing them to bicker. Although, there will be moments of disagreements in any relationship, I feel like this one just had a few too many. Overall, I do love that we got to see a lot of their story play out. By no means is this a slow burn lol! This book keeps on moving the whole time and their love moves super fast.

So, if you’re looking for any hiccups or slow burn moments, this book isn’t for you. If you love a cute quick read this book is perfect!

Bad Word Counter:
Sh*t: 5 times
As*: 12 times

31 total chapters with a total of 17 bad words. Words like damn & crap are also used if those bother you.

Main Tropes:

🥈second chance
🖤 fade to black
🏘️ small town
🫂 dual POV
✝️ faith themes
🧠 flashbacks
🦌 hunting themes

🖤⚠️ This book is fade to black. Fade to black means that although there aren’t descriptive sexual actions written on page we are aware that sex did happen. In this book it does share about the temptation and it is a little steamy. If you want to modify this book to avoid these moments, skip chapter 22 and the ending of chapter 31 (the final chapter).

4.5 ⭐️ | Still Yours by Jordan Riley

Language 🗣️: Mild–Moderate
Spice 🔥: Fade to black / low spice, emotionally rich
Content Notes ⚠️: Faith elements, emotional vulnerability, past hurt, temptation handled thoughtfully

Tropes / Micro Tropes
• Second Chance Romance
• High School Sweethearts → Adult Reunion
• Small Town
• Strong Faith Elements
• Protective MMC
• Healing & Growth
• Family Dynamics
• “He never stopped loving her” energy

Review:
Still Yours is such a tender, heartfelt second-chance romance that leans heavily into emotional connection, faith, and intentional love. Watching these characters find their way back to each other felt genuine, patient, and deeply rooted in growth — both individually and together.

I loved how the story weaves past and present, allowing us to understand the weight of their history while seeing who they’ve become as adults. Their reconnection isn’t rushed or perfect; it’s thoughtful, faith-led, and full of honest communication. The way they navigate temptation, old wounds, and lingering fear felt realistic and respectful, especially within the faith-based framework of the story.

The small-town setting and family dynamics added so much warmth, and the emotional payoff was incredibly satisfying. This book is less about big dramatic moments and more about choosing each other daily — with grace, patience, and trust.

This book is for you if you love:
✨ Second-chance romance with emotional depth
✨ Faith-centered love stories
✨ Characters who grow through communication and healing
✨ Sweet, intentional romance over heavy spice
✨ Small-town vibes and close family bonds

Final Thoughts:
I’m giving Still Yours 4.5 stars for its emotional richness, strong faith themes, and beautifully written journey of love restored. It’s a comforting, hopeful read that reminds you that sometimes the love meant for you… never really leaves.

I enjoyed this book so much! I was quickly invested into Ella and Jesse’s story. I felt like both of the characters felt real and were relatable! I could very much identify with Ella and some struggles she had. My husband also felt a lot like Jesse to me, so I felt like there were scenes where I seen us which made it special to me!

This story felt like an easy read to me because there was enough plot to keep me hooked, but not a lot where it was a heavy book because there was so much going on! So if you want a book you can pick up and put down, and enjoy a happily ever after - this is a book for you!

Tropes:
-second chances
-high school sweethearts
-resaving yourself for marriage
-Bible studies as a couple
-hunting and ER nurse
-patient, slow to anger MMC
-he takes care of her

Second chance romance..they were in love in high school she moved away and came back 10 years later and the sparks were still there.

While I thought the storyline was cute a lot of things annoyed me.

The miscommunication and trust issues between these 2 almost made me dnf this book. They didn’t trust each other and the communication was lacking.

Still Yours by Jordan Riley completely stole my heart! I adored how faith was woven so naturally into the story—never forced, always heartfelt. The characters aren’t perfect (just like us), but watching them stumble, learn, and grow in grace was powerful and beautiful.

This sweet romance is full of redemption, hope, and the reminder that God’s love can heal even the deepest wounds. If you love clean romance with depth and faith at its core, this one’s for you!

*I read an early ecopy from the author. This does not affect my review and the thoughts are my own. This review is voluntary.*

I knew this one was a 'fade-to-black' and not completely 'clean' story when I started it, so I admit there was some hesitation since I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the story. Still, I wanted to give it a try, and from the info provided for the ARC team, it sounded like a fun story.

Both reactions were valid, and it does have some conversations about sex, a desire to wait for sex, physical attraction, and similar conversations. I actually liked that the story took the chance to address these things, and showed how hard it is sometimes, but that a desire to follow God's design and timing, not just for sex but for everything we face in life, made for a good story and also ended up being a relevant lesson in an enjoyable readable format.

The characters were fun, and I enjoyed the 'small town/country' tone and narration they used. I've read other books with similar settings and themes that didn't have that, so this one was a wonderful touch in this one!

I liked reading Still Yours. There were things about it that I really liked and others that I didn’t really care for. I loved that it was faith filled but parts of it, especially in the first few chapters, felt judgy. I loved Ella’s character, but I felt like Jesse was not really likable at times. 🫣 Overall, I liked the story and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

I was given an advanced copy of this book. All opinions expressed above are my own.

Where do I even begin? Still Yours is a small town cowboy esq romance, that is all about God’s plans and second chances. I’m giving this book three stars because there were definitely some things I didn’t care for but all and all I enjoyed the quick read and was fairly entertained.

I really enjoyed the pacing of the book towards the end but I found that the beginning just took off too fast for my liking. Their past and present chemistry and feelings for each other are more narrated than actually felt by the reader. There was little to no build up to the two getting back together and I would’ve enjoyed a little more pining. In my opinion the beginning seemed rushed, and like nothing much was happening, kind of just drifting from scene to scene. Although, if you need a palette cleanse or just want to cuddle up with an easy read, Still Yours is PERFECT for ya!

With those things being said I did find the secret Ella was hiding VERY intriguing. It made me want to keep reading to see if my predictions were correct.

The setting was pleasant and gave a twist to the typical cowboy romance genre. Jesse is a hunting guide in North Dakota (I believe but am unsure). So, I liked that aspect, it definitely was unique and felt cozy.

The family dynamic was incredibly sweet and charming. I CANNOT WAIT to read about Addie’s story!! As someone who loves Jesus and struggles with anxiety, I’m so excited to have faith mixed into representation and romance!

The blend of faith based storytelling in Still Yours felt real. Both characters messy and just trying their best while still falling short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). I think readers will enjoy the imperfections of the characters because it gives them a sharp edge, not some perfect plastic Christian mold. Further taking away the stigma and misconceptions about the Christian walk.

Even though their relationship started out rough, I admired seeing them grow together and mature. And Jesse is SUCH A SWEETHEART. UGH. I loved how patient he became with Ella and how much he cares about her!

I did notice there was a bit of cussing and some sexual content. However, the cussing wasn’t too frequent and the scenes were fade to black.

The book’s ending was perfect for me and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. If you’re looking for a sweet love story about real people serving a very real God in our broken world, then I think this is gonna be a book for you!

4.5 stars out of 5! I rounded up to 5.

Thank you Jordan for the e-arc!

What's in it?
- strong faith elements and faith-driven characters
- themes of redemption and forgiveness
- two people who want to work together to make their relationship work
- closed door/fade-to-black (it's not the lowest rating, as there is implication of sex, but it's not on the page)
- high school sweethearts/first love
- second chance

I loved this book. I thought it was well-written, and I loved how Jordan wrote her characters. These characters are flawed and imperfect, but I think that it perfectly shows the journey we all go on in our lives. Jesse seems a little judgey and like he holds grudges, but I think that he's got the right heart and he's willing to work on his issues. Ella has a tendency to hold onto things and not discuss them due to a fear of confrontation (or at least that's what it seems like). She learns to open up to Jesse and actually discuss things with him. I loved the relationship between the two of them.

Let's talk about Lex. I think it was very obvious that Jesse's relationship with Lex was never going to last (this is not a spoiler, it's in the first few chapters). I don't think Lex was ever going to compromise with Jesse on his beliefs and he should never have to give up his morals and beliefs for someone else. I think it's a good example of being equally yoked with the person you choose to spend your life with. Jesse and Lex were not on the same page, nor did it seem that Lex was willing to try and get there.

I wish that there was a way to have written Jesse's character without the judgmental undertone, but I also think that's realistic in a lot of ways to people we see daily. Sometimes, even with the right heart, we worry about the wrong things. I think that Jesse needs to learn that sometimes you just have to walk away from something. He does that, obviously, but it's a good lesson to the rest of us, too.

A second chance romance with imperfect characters who try to live out their faith... but struggle with temptation and fall short? Um, yes, please! Jesse and Ella were high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 10 years apart. Despite their history and all the time apart, they quickly learn that all those old feelings are still very much present. But making it work is still not without its struggles. Second chance romance is one of my favorites... I loved seeing those flashbacks to the time they fell in love in the first place and seeing how much they've grown since. They were so sweet together, and I couldn't help but root for them. More importantly though, I love stories that feel genuine and aren't afraid to show readers that people aren't perfect and relationships sometimes take work to make it... and I think that's something Jordan does well in her books. Waiting for marriage is a big theme in this story... and yet while this was something that Jesse believed in strongly, that didn't mean he/they always got it right, which made their story feel that much more real. I feel like sexual temptation and going BACK to those convictions is not something that we hear a lot about, and I just think this is going to be a great message for many Christian readers who have faced that same struggle. This was a beautiful romance, and I find myself looking forward to seeing what comes next in the series.

Still Yours is a Christian closed-door romance with fade-to-black and implied intimacy between a non-married couple. It does have minor language throughout.

This is a beautiful, second chance, closed door romance with faith themes.

I first watched the release date video and read the blurb, and instantly knew this was a book I wanted to read.

Ella and Jesse were high school sweethearts who planned to have it all together: marriage, kids, the whole 9 yards. Until something came up and they went their separate ways.

Now, 10 years later, they find themselves in the same town again and old feelings (that maybe never left..) start creeping back to the surface.

Can they rebuild their trust? Can the get past what tore them apart all those years ago? Will love conquer all?

As Ella and Jesse put God first in their lives and relationship, they are also reminded of temptation and "the good old days."

I loved reading this story. The pace, the realistic story and plot, the relatability, the scriptures and even going to church. I loved finding a book that feels so real while also reminding us of God's grace for us.

I definitely recommend adding this one to your TBR. Releasing 5/3/2025, it's sure to be a great summer read.

Tropes:

“God’s got the plans, and I’ll trust Him to work it out in His time.”

Still Yours is a Christian romance novel filled with faith, second chances, mistakes, imperfect people, forgiveness, and trust in God’s plan.

This book brought me to tears, made me laugh out loud, and pulled at my heartstrings for the heartache Jesse and Ella go through. I loved the flashbacks to their past and I felt connected to the characters even more to go back to where it all started. The patience Jesse has for Ella and the way they find their way back to each other is amazing!!

“I thought I lost her and was convinced I’d spend the rest of my life with regret, dreaming about what could have been, what I could’ve had if I had just fought for her.”

🩺Ella is a sweet, determined, and avoid-confrontation at all cost kind of girl. She left her home town, and Jesse, to move to Texas. She followed her dream of becoming a nurse and lost her dream of forever with Jesse. The one man who always knew exactly what she needed.

🦌 Jesse is a hardworking, patient, and faith driven man. He has tried to move on from the girl he loved, at just 16 years old, though no one has come close to Ella.

Reasons you’ll love this story!

A tender story of second chances. Both Jesse and Ella have some growing that they need to do. After 10 years apart they’re faced with the chance to rekindle what they had back in high school.

Things I liked included their commitment to church, bible study together, and praying together. Jesse’s dad was also a very wise man. He gave Jesse sound advice on multiple occasions, and then when it came time for the wedding planning he was willing to make time in their business schedule to give Ella the wedding that she wanted. And he pushed Jesse to put her before his job.

I struggled with Ella a little bit. I felt like I didn’t get in her head enough, didn’t connect with her like I wanted to. She also wasn’t as strong spiritually as Jesse was and didn’t seem to see pasts sexual sins in the same biblical light as Jesse did until further into the story. I also felt like the underage drinking portrayed on more than one occasion wasn’t always viewed as a bad choice.

You had me nervous there in the beginning, Jordan! I wasn’t sure where things with Lexie were going to go 🤪 I would’ve loved to see her redemption. But Ella was definitely a better fit for Jesse.

Thank you for the ARC and congrats on your third book! Look at you go, girl!!

Okay. Listen, on page one, he’s taking his girlfriend to church to make sure they’re on the same page. CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE HOW SWEET THAT IS?! I quickly fell for Jesse’s cowboy charm in this story. He was sure in his faith and knew what was right and wrong, and how to right a wrong, which are two completely separate skills in my opinion!

After a bit, we met Ella, who I adored. She didn’t seem as sure and confident to me. She actually reminded me a lot of myself; afraid of confrontation or big conversations, not having a whole lot of conviction when it counts. But she was so real! It was refreshing to read a story that felt like real-life - they didn’t have a one and done fight and everything was peachy after that, it was hard work and constant communication and working on themselves to be who they needed to be to make their relationship work.

Overall, I really really liked this book, and am looking forward to the next Jennings we get to watch fall in love!

I can say, Jordan’s writing grew so much between her first book and this one. I loved the first one, but I feel like I connected with these characters better. Jesse and Ella’s story was a second chance romance that I happily read. I’m not rly one to get super excited about this trope, but yet again Jordan didn’t disappoint. She writes her characters as real people, they live like we do thus giving them the essence of reality. I truly appreciate all the topics she covered in this book, everything from finding an equally yoked spouse to upholding Biblical morals. It makes sense that Jesse is based on riley green, bc wow😍 in love! He’s such a kind, patient, and considerate mmc. I love that he still has his flaws but we get to see his progress. I love the same about ella. She isn’t perfect, and in fact struggles with opening up sometimes, but we still get to see her work through those issues. in today’s hookup culture, I think this book did a great job of showing how to combat it, especially as a christian young adult! it’s a 4.5⭐️ in my book (lol)

@jordanriley.author did it again guys. I love all the Jennings’ family and can’t wait to see more of them. I absolutely loved Jesse and Ella’s story of them coming back to each other. I love how he is so patient and gentle. I love how Jesse would quite literally drop anything and everything if she needed him. Ella has become a bit more independent and she feels like she can do everything on her own, until she moves back home and Jesse is there with open arms hoping to take care of her. I love this story because it touches on the subject of the struggles of temptation and getting conviction afterwards. Guy’s I know he isn’t a main character in this book but I ABSOLUTELY adore Cody, I can’t wait for his story. If you loved what I’ve mentioned you should go check out her book!!

Jordan has become one of my favorite authors! I have really come to love cowboy romance because of her! Also thank you for letting me read your ACR. I hope to have more in the future!

This book was amazing and I can’t wait for the next ones of the series!

Jesse is super sweet and charming! I pictured him as Montana Jordan from young Sheldon. I’m not sure why that’s just the voice I was hearing. I don’t like how he always picked a fight with Ella but that is how real relationships are. Sometimes you fight and then you just have to work it out.

Ella literally ran away from her home just be with Jesse. She knew what she wanted and she went for it! But on other things she wasn’t so confident. She was scared to tell things to Jesse. Maybe if she told him right away they wouldn’t have fought soo much.

But I’m super happy that way it worked out and second chance with always be soo sweet to me!

This is the first book I’ve read by Jordan, and it won’t be the last! It was the perfect heart warming, fade to black, faith driven romance book I didn’t know I needed!

Jesse and Ella are so sweet together, and after breaking up 10 years prior, it was heartwarming to see them come back together. They had to learn each others quirks. They had to grow together, and learn about hard things that had happened over their time apart. This book does include flashbacks from when they dated in high school, and it does add another element to the book because you really get to know what happened back then.

I may just be partial to this story, because I am still with my high school sweetheart going on 14.5 years, but this was just the perfect amount of sweet!

I received this as an ARC from Jordan so thank you so much.

I love being able to read a romance book that consists of faith and no spice. It’s such a refreshing read from other romances. You don’t see that often.

When Jesse and Ella prayed together, I instantly got tears in my eyes. 🥹

I didn’t like Jesse in the beginning and how he treated Ella whenever she would not tell him something at first. He would get really upset, which started arguments, which brought back memories of my ex. Ella grew from this and tried really hard to tell Jesse her feelings which made me so proud of her for. I’m trying to do that too, so I can relate to that.

I cannot wait for the other three books in the series.

Thank you again Jordan for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team. 🫶🏻🥰

ARC Review:

Oh my goodness, where do I start? This was Jordan’s best book yet! It checks all the boxes for everything I want to read about…

- Faith based
- Fade to black
- Wholesome family moments
- Second chances
- Relatable characters
- Life in the countryside

This was a wonderfully written story and it held my attention the whole way through. (I was finished about 2 days after I received it lol).

Jesse and Ella are the most wholesome characters. They have their moments of weakness and vulnerability, as we all do. But their dedication to their faith and willingness to change set such a good example.

There’s more than enough romance to keep the intrigue, but no spice!

All the characters and their lives felt really real and I enjoy that in a book. No unrealistic expectations are set. Sometimes when books are too fantastical, it makes real life feel dull. This one left me feeling grateful and inspired. I highly recommended giving Still Yours a read!!

Thank you Jordan for allowing me to ARC read this book! I truly appreciate it.

Packing my things, posting my house for sale, and moving to Bellamy ASAP🦆⛪️🌾🌻

Still Yours is my new favorite book from Jordan Riley. This is the start of the Jennings Family Series and I’m so excited to read more about this wholesome bunch! How could you not love a family who has Sunday dinners?!

Jesse and Ella were high school sweethearts. Fast forward a few years, the two are broken up. Jesse is helping run his family’s hunting business while Ella has been living in Texas. Ella returns to Bellamy and you see their story at love, faith and second chances.

This book had so much heart. We got to experience so much of Jesse and Ella’s love story throughout the years but also their individual stories. I’m so excited to read more about the Jennings family once the next book comes out🤩

Still Your’s is a clean, fade to black, Christian, small town romance. I really loved this book and so grateful I had the chance to read it as an ARC.

Ella and Jesse were high school sweethearts. They had their life planned for the future but because of life they moved on without each other. Years later they find themselves in the same town again. Their chemistry is just as strong as it was before and they find their way back to each other.

This book is about forgiveness and grace. It’s about two imperfect people doing their best to live what they believe. It’s about strengthening a relationship through doing the little things.

This was a sweet second chance romance set in a small town. High school sweethearts Jesse and Ella broke up ten years ago, but their paths cross again when Ella moves back to town. The story delves into the past and the present and whether they can pick up where they left off despite all that’s happened in the years they were apart. The faith element is much bigger than I had anticipated. That’s not a bad thing, but I was a little surprised by it.

Thanks to the author for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Just when I think I can’t love another book Jordan’s next one easily becomes my favorite! Still Yours by Jordan Riley had a compelling premise — a heartfelt second-chance romance between Jesse and Ella, once teen sweethearts, now reuniting after a decade apart. I appreciated the way the story touched on deeper themes, including the challenges of sexual temptation, which added emotional depth.

However, I found the pacing a bit disjointed, with scenes that jumped around and made it hard to stay grounded in the story. While the potential was definitely there, the execution didn’t quite come together for me.
