After the news of his brother’s tragic death, however, Sawyer is pulled into a place filled with crippling emotions and pain—a place no one can seem to reach him…until the moment Eva steps into his life.

Jennifer Snyder lives in North Carolina where she spends most of her time writing New Adult and Young Adult Fiction, reading, and struggling to stay on top of housework. She is a tea lover with an obsession for Post-it notes and smooth writing pens. Jennifer lives with her husband and two children, who endure listening to songs that spur inspiration on repeat and tolerate her love for all paranormal, teenage-targeted TV shows.
Eva Bennett, is a college student that isn't looking for a relationship with the kind of guys she's so used to. We all know the type, the jerky party boys that are just looking for a good time. She meets a soldier boy named Sawyer Keeton and quickly pegs him as one of those. After the two run into each other again, Eva decides to give him a chance, and they get each others phone numbers through mutual friends so they can go on a date.
Eva is quick witted, and knows how she wants to be treated. She's a strong character that I really enjoyed. She's hesitant to go on a date with Sawyer, but I'm so glad she did! The two just work so well together. Eva's character felt real while reading, she doesn't let the past get her down, it made her a stronger person.
Sawyer isn't a typical guy that likes to party and drink. He is in the National Guard, so he's disciplined. He is also dealing with losing his older brother that he was really close to. Eva is the first person that is able to take his mind off his huge loss. They quickly become inseparable, but not in an annoying way. This was not instant like/lust, it was built up at exactly the right pace, and I give major props to that since it's hard to do that in writing. Normally when I'm reading it's either too slow or too quick on the like/lust, but this one was perfect for me.
Forget You is an emotional read that had me quickly turning the pages so I could see what would happen next. While this is book four in the A Coldcreek Novel series, you can read this as a standalone. It is told in an alternating POV, each chapter changes between Sawyer and Eva. I really like that it's told this way, you get to know what each character is thinking and it flows really well. The emotions near the end were true to life, and almost had me tearing up. If I was going through that type of situation, that's exactly how I would feel. Kudos to JSnyder, I really enjoyed Forget You and highly recommend it if you're looking for a New Adult book with a sexy soldier.
Forget You is book 4 of the Coldcreek Series and in my opinion is the best one yet! Ms. Snyder pulled out all the stops for Eva’s story, and from the very first page reeled me in - hook, line and sinker. I totally fell in love with ‘Soldier Boy’ Sawyer. I laughed at his witty one-liners and loved his simple and quirky date ideas. Sawyer is the complete package and the perfect match for Eva who deserved her ‘Happily Ever After’.
Forget You is packed full of emotions, witty and sarcastic banter and lovable characters. I must admit, I did panic for a while and had a WTH moment where my heart dropped into my stomach and tears were shed as the story became so intense and took a direction I did not see coming – at all. I became so involved with the characters and the plot, the world around me ceased to exist while I was reading this amazing story.
Ms. Snyder's writing gets better and better with each book and I can’t wait to read anything and everything written by this outstanding and totally amazing author!
Forget You is the fourth book in Jennifer Snyder's Coldcreek series, but can be read as a standalone novel. I hadn't read any of the books before starting this one and had no problems understanding anything. This book was sweet and emotional, and I finished this one quickly. I liked the characters a lot, and I had to keep reading to see how everything would turn out.
Eva Bennett is sick of being single and is looking for a relationship. But she is tired of young and immature boys that live with their parents and don't have jobs. When she first locks eyes with the sexy soldier Sawyer Keeton, she wants nothing to do with him. But Sawyer isn't willing to give up on her. Sawyer continues to pursue Eva until she finally gives in and agrees to go out with him. She quickly sees that he is different than what she first expected and soon they are falling hard for one another. But when Sawyer is forced to leave Eva and is sent overseas, they are tested in ways that they couldn't ever imagine.
I really loved Sawyer and Eva. They were perfect for one another and I loved their dates. These two were able to banter back and forth, and I loved their one liners. I never knew what they would do or say next, and it kept me flipping the pages to find out. I liked that Eva was able to bring Sawyer out of his pain from losing his brother. She helped him to move forward and get past the hurt, while also showing him how to love. Sawyer was able to show Eva that she could have fun and loosen up in a way that she wasn't able to before him. I thought that Sawyer and Eva had great chemistry together, but they had such a strong connection from the start. Their relationship was natural and never felt rushed despite the short length of time it took for these two to fall for each other.
Overall, I liked this story a lot. It was cute and funny while still being able to deliver the emotional impact that it needed to. Sawyer and Eva had both been through a lot, and I loved watching them heal and move forward. They both deserved to be happy after everything in their pasts, and I really enjoyed their times together. I did feel as though a lot of this story focused on Eva's friends though, and I wish there would have been a bit less of that. I think that fans of this series will enjoy seeing them, but at times it almost felt like they took over the story a bit. I liked Eva's friendship with Cam though and it was nice to see a boy and girl capable of having a friendship that was platonic without feelings more than what a friend should feel. They understood each other, and I loved that Cam was protective of her and wanted her to be happy. I thought that Sawyer fit in perfectly with Eva's friends as well, and I enjoyed seeing him become a part of the group. I would definitely recommend this book to NA fans looking for a quick and enjoyable story. I am interested in the rest of the series after reading this book, and can't wait to go back and see how the other couples got together!
Forget You is the first book by Jennifer Snyder that I have read. This was quite an enjoyable read. I love the storyline the author created. This is the 4th book in her Coldcreek Series, but I don't think it is necessary to read the other 3 books before reading this one. Jennifer does an excellent job filling in the holes and information that might be missing by not reading the other books. I didn't feel like I was lost or missing anything. After reading this one and enjoying it so much, I will definitely go back and read the rest of the books in this series. I loved the characters she created, they were fun and sassy, but with wonderful hearts. This book had me laughing, smiling and crying…this story is full of emotions.
Forget You is about Eva and Sawyer. I thought these two characters complimented each other very well. Both had some bad stuff happen in the past and were working through it. Eva and Sawyer had some of the best one liners ever. One thing I did notice was that we got a lot of Sawyer's background but not a lot of Eva's…I wish we would've known more about what happened to her, we did get bits and pieces but I still felt we were missing some big stuff. (Maybe that was brought up in the other 3 books) I enjoyed watching these two grow and their relationship flourish. I loved the dates that Sawyer planned and all the games these two would play. (Mall dares, Question game, etc…)
I enjoyed getting to know the other characters in the series through this book. It was great seeing how they were all doing after their HEA's.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun, sweet and emotional love story that is filled with AMAZINGLY funny "One Liners".
Eva is seeing all of her friends find good relationships and is ready for one too, but she has had more than her share of cocky, arrogant men. After a chance encounter with Sawyer, she automatically pegs him as another cocky man, especially when she later runs into him at a party. However, there is something there that makes her keep thinking about him, so when he gets her number from her friend and texts her the next day, she agrees to go on a date with him. Sawyer takes her on what she considers a "juvenile" date, and she is surprised to find she has a great time. Eva finds there is more to Sawyer than meets the eye with his unexpected date choices combined with his comical one-liners and the grief he is still experiencing over the mysterious circumstances surrounding his brother's death. They both soon realize they are falling hard for each other, but then they are torn apart.
When the big twist happens, we know something immediately that Eva doesn't know. I think it would have made the whole story more dramatic and suspenseful if the author had left readers in the dark just a little longer. Other than that, this is a really sweet love story and a great read. My heart ached for Eva when she thought she wouldn't see Sawyer again, and then it ached some more for Sawyer when he found out what really happened the night his brother died. I adored Eva and Sawyer, and I absolutely loved the relationship that Eva had with all of her friends. Forget You can be read as a stand-alone, but I would enjoy reading the other novels just to get to know these other characters better because I liked them so much. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys sweet, emotional love stories. (*Note that "sweet love story" does not mean no sex in this case, but it isn't overly explicit either.)
I won a signed copy on Goodreads. I was not required to write a review.
Eva Bennett knows what she doesn't want in a man. A couple of chance meetings with Sawyer Keeton and she thinks he's one those guys she doesn't want. That is, until he proves her wrong and then he gets deployed. While deployed, Sawyer is listed as K.I.A. Is it really easier to try and forget someone or deal with the pain of losing them? Can you forget so completely someone you cared for so deeply?
Great story! Sawyer Keeton is major book boyfriend material. He knows what he wants and goes after it. Eva's humor is a little dry for me but with her and Sawyer together, it works. I can't imagine going through something as traumatic as Sawyer and Eva did. It brought tears to my eyes.
At the end of this book is Forgive You, a Coldcreek short story and it is what brought the entire story full circle for me. Without giving anything away, it's VERY important and it is a MUST read.
Thank you Jennifer Snyder for a beautiful, emotional military romance that is unlike most military romance novels out there.

I found this to be a wonderful romance, so easy to read and with characters that I truly enjoyed. The start to Eva and Sawyer's relationship was fun and sweet...and the scene from their mall date with the part at the bookstore...priceless. Their banter sets a fun, lighthearted tone for their relationship from the start.
Both of them are strong characters with a quick wit which makes the scenes between them a lot of fun. You also get the sexy scenes but without getting explicit...so you still get the intensity of their feelings for each other without going overboard on naughtiness.
There are a lot of emotions, and a jaw-dropping moment late in the book where you sit stunned thinking, "oh no, did that really, truly happen???", and all of it will keep you quickly flipping the pages of this fabulous read.
A very strong 4 stars for this awesome contemporary romance, recommended for 18+. A story you can truly enjoy for both its funny, witty dialog and those serious, life-impacting moments that can change a relationship and life.
*This book is a standalone that is part of the Cold Creek Companion collection that is by the author. I recommend her other books as well.*
This book is hilarious.
And I don't mean that in a bad way. The characters are comical, and Snyder did an awesome job in making the readers (at least me!) laugh along. Sometimes there are books that make you want to cringe (in a bad way, at least), like if a character does something stupid, and I can assure you that this isn't one of those books.
I loved the plot, I loved the characters, I loved the situations, enough said.
While it is pretty funny at times, there are certain shifts where things are serious. The shifts were sometimes sudden, but it worked. It wasn't choppy or anything like that. In fact, it was quite the opposite: it was appropriate and depicted a shift that would happen in reality. The serious moments are good. They're either sweet, tear-jerking, needed, or all three. This book will get to you. It made me force myself to Read More
this is a wonderfully written romance story and you find yourself getting pulled more and more into the story of the loss Sawyer goes through and then the loss Eva goes through and I cried and cried.I cant begin to imagine her pain. From the moment they meet Eva is sure she wants nothing of Sawyer and Sawyer is just as determined to be all about Eva. I was never so happy to see a happy ending in a book as I was for this one.It was like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders cause the pain these two go through is heartbreaking and gut wrenching. As a bonus at the end of this book we get a short novella for Sawyer and this made me cry harder than the longer book.I know that when you read this novella you will get the closure you feel is missing in the longer story.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the amazing Jennifer Snyder herself! Let me tell you she is simply amazing! I fell in love with sawyer and Eva right away. They were both fun lovable characters that had me turning page after page. I enjoyed it all from start to finish the story line was truly wonderful and kept my attention the whole time. I would definitely recommend this book and this whole series actually. Each book can be read as a stand alone but are still connected in ways which is my favorite :) Must Read! September can't get here soon enough.. So once it's out be sure to one click this baby!!
Eva Bennett has a habit of calling it as she sees it and when she sees National Guard member Sawyer Keeton she knows he is a typical male looking for his next score. Eva couldn't be more wrong, Sawyer is just a man and he is definitely curious about Eva, whose snarky attitude has him just waiting to prove her wrong. Both have issues from their past that is still haunting them, but together they find a calm that soothes them.
Delightful read. This had some of the most creative dates I could possibly imagine and it brought a big smile to my face while reading. Entertaining from beginning to end, if your looking for a book that surprises you, this is one to pick up.

I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway. From the first chapter, I was hooked! By the end, I literally couldn't stop reading until I found out what happened. It's been a long time since I went to bed late because I had to finish a book, but I did with this one. If you like strong but vulnerable female characters, military men and great storytelling, this book is definitely for you. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the language. The "f" word was used quite a bit, which I'm not a big fan of, but other than that this was the perfect book.
Jennifer Snyder really knows how to hit your heart! Also about reminding us love is out there! I couldn't put Forget You down! I read it in a day and it wasn't fast enough. Eva never thought she'd find the one. And then slowly she realized she had! Forget You tugs at the heart and you will love it!
