2 1/2 Heroine has run away from her home in Mexico City after quarreling with her father. She is now singing in a nightclub and sarcastically flirts with the hero during her act because she doesn't like the judgmental look on his face. Hero turns the tables and kisses her in front of the audience. Heroine is aroused and outraged, etc. . . Hero reveals his identity back in her dressing room and tells her about her father's heart attack. She goes back to Mexico and makes up with her father.

This is a fairly typical romance without a lot of angst. The descriptions of Mexico were interesting and watching the hero fight his attraction was amusing. The only shocking thing comes on the last page when he admits Because of this I had to knock off a half star.

Ugh! When heroine left in a huff, he immediately went back to his long time mistress/secretary! The OW had warned heroine that hero is a manwhore but always comes back to her, well she was right! This is one time heroine should have heeded an OW’s warning. Hero eventually tracked heroine down but only because of a dog in manger attitude. Their ILY was watery at best and his attitude about the OW shady as hell. Nothing about finally firing her and getting her out of his life, just that she will get a stern talking to LMAO ok! Prediction: He will be resuming his affair with the OW days after coming back from the honeymoon and these two TSTL women will continue their cat fight over him until one of them dies:(

I enjoyed reading this book however the hero kind of ticked me off at the end, talking about how he made love with his whore of a secretary because he was in between relationships and wanted to get his dicky sticky. I dislike men like that, even in story books. Thinking that it's alright to hump everything with two legs just because they can. It's such a double standard for women that ticks me off to no end. The heroine was pretty nifty though, she stood by her laurels and remained true to herself despite the situations at hand. Overall, even with Mr. Sticky as the hero, the book was a great read. I hope other enjoy it as well.

Had she the strength to resist his powers?
Machismo - if any man had it, Leon Calveto did - and lots of it! He enraged Nita Lopez, but he still had the ability to stir her senses.

Leon had brough her home to Mexico City to reunite her with her ailing father. Three long years hadn't changed much in her relationship with Leon, yet in another sense everything had changed.

Nita would never be rid of him or of the buried emotions that flushed her cheeks and set her heart running at the mention of his name....

That Monkeys hunt in packs but Lions walk alone. The knight in shining armor is capable of defence by himself. He goes for what he wants and doesn't need a crowd to achieve that.
