3 1/2 stars for me. This is a great series about what is expected when you have a pet. It is written in a fun way an not too preachy. I love at the end it talks to the child and ask if they are ready for the responsibility of what is expected. Then they ask the pet if they are ready for a human! Cute pictures, interesting way of explaining what each pet needs to be safety, happy and healthy. I think these books are going to check out a lot!
Great non-fiction series! Presents important things for a child to consider before adopting a cat. Other books in the series include bird, dog, hamster, horse, rabbit, and pet.
Pretty darn cute ("Nothing good happens after 8 p.m."). Not sure if the quiz at the back of the book shakes out-- living on a quiet street actually has no bearing at all, assuming you have an indoor pet-- but I appreciate the humor and enjoyed the illustrations in this book. Spoiler alert: yes, I really do want more cats.
In this book the author explains what is required to take care of a pet cat or kitten. Feeding, playing, healthcare, living arrangements, and so on. The reader is asked important questions about taking care of a cat to help them make the responsible decision. Great illustrations.
