Dr. Becca Tanner has moved to Vinegrove, WA from New York City after coming home to find her best friend in bed with her fiancé. After a night working at The County Hospital, she met a group of single ladies at Que Syrah Syrah wine shop, and they have become fast friends over the past six months. They each place the name of a gentleman in a hat for another lady to draw out, and she is supposed to ask him out.
Chase Tanner is considered a playboy, but truth is, he was hurt in high school by the girl he thought he loved. Can Becca and Chase heal each other's broken heart and is there a future for them in Vinegrove. Can a date go from perfect to misunderstanding and forgiveness? Although this is a series, the book can read as a standalone, but they are such cute sweet stories, you will want to read them all.
A heartwarming read in this 4 part series. I was given these books in exchange for an honest review. I'm reading them out of order and it doesn't matter. The premise is that four single women become friends and decide to find love.
Normally this kind of story is a little tame for me. There's no super action, crazy sex, or magic anywhere in site. I found myself drawn into this world regardless, because everything is so authentic.
These books are refreshing and fun. They're real. The characters are real, the town is great, I would move there if I could.
This particular story was great. It was super sweet and the town is the perfect backdrop for falling in love. I was so into the story it was over before I realized it. The premise of this book is a big city doctor comes home from work to find her fiance in a compromising position with her best friend. Anyone would be devastated by this. She moves across the country for a fresh start and ends up finding true friends and true love.
If you are looking for a bite sized love story, or a great series in all four books, these are definitely worth a read!
I got caught up in Becca’s journey and her decision to give up her fast-paced job as an ER physician in New York and move to the small town of Vine Grove. She quickly becomes part of a group of women who decide to make a change in their single status by creating the Love List, in which they select potential mates for each other. The story was short and sweet, and there were relatively few errors. The conflict is minimal, but the interaction between the characters is cute.
In this third charmer that will put a twinkle in your eye you have a doctor who has come to Vinegrove after leaving the big city. After finding her cheating fiance things in the big city had suddenly turned sour so fresh is what was required. Small emergency when stepping into the hospital she was to work at immediately she is put to work which is fine by her. Chase who being in the fire department has had his fair share of life's disappointments also with early in life being dumped and last words sticking with him to this day. Isn't it funny how when you are least looking for it and not expecting it when love will have its way. Becca meets friends and these friends have in time formed a club and out of it they have a love list. Becca has drawn the name of Chase but really she feels she is not looking for anybody. What she has fallen in love with is the town and its people. When they do meet he is quite the charmer to say the least. He certainly is eye candy if nothing else. With Becca only looking for short term life will have a different route for them both. Go along with this author as she takes you through this building relationship that builds in a direction neither expects. But also what will a girl do when through the seriousness of it all he finds out he may of just been for sport. She will then have to prove him wrong with them both finding out that even though they had a bumpy start with a few twists and turns that the long way home for them will be with each other because you usually get the best when you really are not looking for it. This also can be read as a stand alone. Received a copy for a honest review.
I just finished reading Blind Tasting. It is a short story romance written by Angela Ford. Dr. Rebecca Miller is devastated when she comes home to find her fiancé in bed with her best friend. She decides to pick up and move to a small town to start over. There she meets three ladies she becomes quick friends with that wind up forming a book club. She also meets a dashing Chase Tanner who sweeps her off her feet. Can she let the walls around her heart and learn to love again or is it too late?
I loved this book. It was an adorable read. It was also inspiring. I feel like there were a few underlying lessons in it. One, no matter what happens, you can learn to love again. Two, it is possible to have a clean start. I loved all the characters. They all brought their own flair to the story.
I really wish that Angela Ford went into more detail in a lot of places. I also wish that I could have known some background stories on a few of the characters in it. I also would have liked to seen the fiancé and best friend’s reactions to getting caught. I’d of liked to see their point of view on it. It worked well the way it was though all things considering. It was still a very beautiful story.
I fully recommend this book. Like Christmas Wreath, this was written in a four part collection. I can’t wait to read the other three by the other three authors. I’m sure they will be as good as this one is. I’m so glad that I was given the chance to read this book. Angela Ford’s talent never ceases to amaze me. She really knows how to draw and keep a reader’s attention.
This is a sweet story the third part of a four book series. (Each book in the Love List Series has a different author.) Four friends started a singles group that after she time became the Love list/book club ( that never really read the books). Book three starts in New York where Becca finds her fiancé in bed with her best friend. Wanting to leave the hurt behind she transferred to a hospital across the country in Washington's wine country. Vinegrove was a perfect little town. After six months in and becoming a member of the local wine tasting singles group, they formed the love list and she had drawn Chase Tanner, the town slut. This was of putting to her but there was something about him every time she saw him that sparked interest. We're the rumor true about Chase, or was it that he just hadn't found the one. The Love List series is a sweet HEA series that has stand alone stories that are connected. It is the perfect quick read if you don't have a lot of time to read.

Wow! ...Angela Ford does NOT disappoint ever!! ... What a marvelous, delightful read!! ... I just love contemporary romantic fiction to escape from my every day boring life and this talented author never fails to amaze me with her ingenious writing skills & engaging characters :) ... My only complaint would be that all of these awesome reads are too short, coz they are so good I don't want them to end!! LOL ... All of the first 3 I've read so far are 5 star must reads!! ... Yes, I was fortunate to be given this to read in exchange for an honest review, but I honestly do love this and the previous 2 stories and I can't wait for #4 of "The Love List" compilation!! ... So add these books to your must read TBR list now :)
Enchanting!! Another wonderful story from Angela Ford....she certainly never disappoints! This is a charming story that warms the heart! Becca & Chase are a breath of fresh air! Their story is well written and enchanting. I love Angela's style of writing; her characters are always well developed and real. Though this is the third book in the Love List Series it can be read on its own. However, you will want to pick up the first two as well to find out how the other ladies fared with their choices on the list! I highly recommend this series!
I'm drawn to stories like this about women starting over when love has let them down. In Blind Tasting, we follow Dr. Rebecca Miller as she moves across country, trading city life for a bucolic small town. As she heals, she gains insight into herself and others. She also discovers true love. Sweet and satisfying, this book is like a breath of fresh air. Kudos to Angela Ford.
OMG,this is such a great book. Angela Ford has done it again. Once I started reading there was no stopping until it was done. It moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters and fantastic story that you cannot walk away from. This is a must read.
I got swept up in Becca's story right from the beginning! I love the small town feel and friendliness of the characters. I will have to read the other stories in this series.
I am so falling right into step with this community. They are so accepting and jump right in to help another in the town the moment the need arises. These would make some wonderful friends, family and neighbors. Yet another great love story.
I honestly don't know what I was expecting going into this story since it's obviously a short story. But I found it lacking. There's a little background for Rebecca. She's a doctor in New York City, finds her fiancee cheating on her, so she quits her job and relocates to a small town in Washington State (that's all in the blurb). In her new hometown, she finds new friends and then eventually love.
OK, so completely honest here.... and there maybe spoilers if you read on.... you've been warned.
Her love interest is Chase. Honestly, there's a little talk about him, a chance meeting when she first gets to town and then a date 6 months later and they're confessing love for each other on that first date. Unless I zoned out or part of the book is missing, it just didn't work for me. There is such a lot chance at developing a much richer story. But as it is, there's no character development, no romance, and then a super quick ending. I just walked away from this book wanting so much more and feeling almost cheated.
The narration by Bailey Varness was fine. There wasn't anything exceptional about her performance. She had good pacing and could have probably used a little more emotion. Like there was a point in the story when Rebecca is crying about something when she's talking to her friend, I expected to hear that emotion in the dialog, but didn't.
All in all, the story wasn't bad. It really just could have benefited from a few more chapters to develop a romance and a more believable conflict that wasn't so easily resolved.
I received this book free in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
A heart warming tale of heartbreak and the ability for the heart to heal.
Dr Becca has it all with her high school sweetheart, an understanding best friend and the perfect job. Though she works hard and long hours, it's the way things are done in New York, and she couldn't be happier. Until she has it all taken away and forces herself to start over.
Dr Becca teaches us that circumstances don't change what we can accomplish, our decisions and outlook do.
After reading this book I'm excited to read the rest of the series and see how they all do with their Love List.
I did receive this book for my review in exchange for a unbiased and honest opinion.
This was a very quick read. I really enjoyed the book and I couldn't put it down because I had to know what happened. I would be horrified if I found my fiancé in bed with my best friend. I think I would have left town and started fresh too. I love how Rebecca so easily fell in love with the town and immediately started having what she deserved with a slow paced job and great friends. I love how Chase and her fell in love at first sight but yet it took them forever to get together. The ending was good but very quick. I would have loved to read more about their relationship between the two of them.
I feel at a loss in providing a review for this book. I've not read the first two in this series, and I think they would add a lot of substance to the last two books when read in succession. I understand that these stories are "stand alones" in their own right, but I don't feel adequate leaving a review without reading the other stories first. I will say, this is a charming story line, but I can't quite equate cowboys with wine country....the book seemed rushed at times. I love Angela Ford's writing, and in that regard, this doesn't disappoint, but I just need to read the whole story.
Blind Tasting by Angela Ford NYC, Becca is a doctor and works many shifts. She is engaged to Blake...she finds him with her best friend and leaves to go to Vine Grove. Her friends there have her pick a name: Turner Chase for a date. Local firefighter and lady's man. A misunderstanding may keep them apart... I received this book from Library Thing in exchange for my honest review.
Rebecca is devastated when she catches her fiancé cheating with her best friend. Her & a bunch of her friends make a love list. When she's paired up with Chase. He finds out about the list & think he's being played. Can Becca prove to him her love is real.
Lots of descriptions of scenery and smells and the love is instant, on the first date. There were details that were inconsistent with the other books in the series.
