Among the class that was transported to another world, Nagumo Hajime is an ordinary male student who doesn't have ambition nor aspiration in life, called by his classmates as "Incompetent". The class is summoned to become heroes and save a country from destruction, students of these class are blessed with cheat specs and cool job class, but that's not the case with Hajime, his job class is a "Synergist" and his stats are very normal (mediocre). "Synergist", to put it in another word is just artisan class. Being the weakest, he then falls to the depth of the abyss when he and his classmates are exploring a dungeon. What did he find in the depth of the abyss and can he survive?
Awesome series, starting from weak to strong, even willing killing the gods, this series starting really great. Quite an irritating start in the first few chapters, but becoming more and more awesome as the story progress.
Arifureta wants so badly to be the next SAO or Boogiepop. It wants to be the next massive success that changes the Light Novel genre but it isn't, and it never will be.
Protagonist gets sent to another world with his classmates, just like every single trash Isekai that's come out in the last five years. However, instead of being the badass edgelord like every other major Isekai protag, he's just slightly above average in this world, with the most common special power. After getting trapped in a stereotypical RPG dungeon, he finds the strength (and macguffin) to survive. And proceeds to turn into every teenage edgelord's wet dream of a badass.
The story is bland. The writing is at best average and at worst, reads like the stereotype of edgy forum RP from the mid 00's. The characters range from forgettable to problematic. The story tries to hook you with a mystery partway through, but it's honestly generic and I found myself not caring in the slightest.
I had heard that Arifureta's source material was a lot better than the current anime adapted from it, but in this case 'better' seems to mean 'less of a garbage fire'. Don't waste your time, even if you get it for free (like I did), it's not worth the effort.
Wonder premise, wonderful execution of premise. Delightfully dark anti-hero. All in all it was a great read until about halfway through. About halfway through the MC becomes just incredibly hypocritical and becomes characterized by pointlessly antagonistic action that every female in the story adores. Imagine you see a rich guy punch a poor dude then say that before he was rich he used to be homeless so the poor guy deserved it. Then some chick sucks his dick because punching people is hot. It's just so pointlessly masturabory that the story stops being at all worth it.
This book takes place in japan but the main charter is soon sent to another world to fight the demons like all other stories but what happens next is different. instead os the main charater being the stongest and being the hero he is actully the weakest among his friends and he is picked on and harassed by his allys. but he has one saving light his long time childhood friend. but god has a different idea for him when he goes to the dungeon to get stronger he is betrayed by his allies and he is cast down into the abyss which is were only the strongest being can go. in all honestly i liked this book but it was way too short it would have been better if the author combined the first three books into one long one that way it saves us money from buying them all.
