A woman sleuth. A cold case. A town full of secrets—and a sister fighting a battle of her own.

Taylor Gray has traded her badge for a fresh start. Alongside her husband Sam, she’s launched Graystone Investigations—a private detective agency fueled by grit, intuition, and an unwavering pursuit of justice. Their latest case? A high-stakes cold case that could overturn a decade-old conviction.

A man has spent years behind bars for a brutal crime—but did he do it? Or was he simply the easiest target in a town eager to close the file? Hired by the man’s devoted sister, Taylor and Sam dig deep into a web of missing evidence, forgotten leads, and truths buried under years of silence.

Back home in Hart’s Ridge, Taylor’s younger sister Anna is fighting a quieter battle—one that’s just as harrowing. Suspended from her job as an ER nurse after being accused of theft, Anna is determined to clear her name. But the deeper she digs, the more dangerous the lies become—especially when her ex-husband’s powerful family is pulling the strings. With a blossoming romance on shaky ground and her children caught in the crossfire, Anna must decide how much she's willing to risk to reclaim her life.

As the Gray sisters fight for justice—one in a courtroom, the other in a hospital hallway—they'll learn that sometimes the truth isn’t just hidden…it’s protected by those who fear it most.

From the bestselling author of Hart’s Ridge comes a gripping new chapter in the series—woven with heart, family, suspense, and the kind of justice only the Gray women can deliver.

Another great addition to this series! I love that Taylor and Sam decided to go into private investigating together. I thought I’d miss Taylor working for the Sheriff’s department, but this is so much better. Taylor and Sam make a great team. Their case brought them to Indiana to work on the case of a wrongly convicted member of Sam’s family. As usual, it was based on an actual case.

The other part of the story centered on Anna. It’s been awhile since she was the center of a storyline line so I loved seeing her continuing story. If you like having someone to dislike in a story, you’ll love that her ex-husband is back causing Anna problems. Her storyline involves a possible love interest too!

Of course, another cliffhanger so I know I can’t wait for the next book in this fabulous series!

Taylor has handed in her badge and opened a Private Detective agency with her husband, Sam. They have been hired to investigate a possible wrongful imprisonment. Taylor’s sister, Anna has overcome so much in her adult life. She now finds herself accused of a crime, suspended and facing possible termination of a job she loves.

This is Book 13 in the Hart’s Ridge saga. At this point, the Grey family and Hart’s Ridge feel like home. While it’s the same cast of characters, each book brings to light a different issue a family member might be having, in addition to a police situation. While there is always something happening, these stories also focus on family, working together and their love of animals. These books are suspenseful, but they also leave one with a hopeful feeling. A cliffhanger ending promises another book is coming. Always a page turner, it can be read in one sitting. While I did miss Taylor’s police life and didn’t get the heart pounding rush I usually do, I became fully vested in Anna’s issue. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Graystone Investigations and the Gray Family.

I received an ARC of this book, this is my honest opinion.

Now and Then is the 13th book in Kay Bratt’s Hart’s Ridge series. I must admit, I just really love reading these books! They are partly about solving crimes but mainly about family and all the dynamics that come with being a part of one. The main character, Taylor, is the eldest of four daughters in a family that has seen and lived through some real turmoil. At one time she was a deputy with the local police force but has now moved on and teamed up with her new husband Sam and opened their own private detective company called Graystone Investigations. In this installment there is a dual storyline to keep the readers attention. One centers around her sister Anna who after her divorce has returned to nursing, a calling she has always had. But life for her isn’t always easy with raising 2 kids and having to deal with an idiot of an ex-husband that is always wanting to make trouble for her. The second storyline is about Sam and Taylor and how they travel to Indiana to help Sam’s aunt try to clear her husbands name and get him released after a 10 year stay in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. What I really like about these books is that each one is based off from an actual real life crime that has taken place and Kay Bratt adapts it to fit in to her storylines. This particular book has ended with a huge cliffhanger that has left me feeling very nervous because I’m not anticipating it to be good news for any member of the Gray family. Kay sure does have a way of keeping her readers anxiously awaiting her next book, gosh if only she could write just a little faster! This is a series I highly recommend and if you haven’t started reading it, you really should. Take my word for it, you won’t be sorry, it is just so, so good! I’m giving this book a 5 star rating but honestly they are all deserving of that.

Taylor and Sam are private investigators now, trying to build their new business while they concentrate on raising their family. Called to help a relative of Sam’s whose husband has been imprisoned for ten years, neither is eager to travel all the way to Indiana to investigate whether Janelle’s husband Clem was wrongfully convicted or not. But they promise to look at the case and see if they think it has merit. Meanwhile, back at home, Anna is facing her own demons in the person of her ex-husband Pete who has decided that he wants her fired from her new nursing job and he sets about trying to make sure it happens with the help of his powerful and influential father. The investigative details are realistic, the angst suffered by Anna over false accusations are gut-wrenching and the family ties that give them all the strength to persevere are tightly woven around all of them. I really enjoyed the mystery part and Taylor and Sam’s methodical approach to finding the truth. I was appalled at Pete’s desire to destroy Anna’s new life when he has moved on to other female friends already. The emotions evoked by this book were real and deep and I loved spending time with all of the folks at Hart’s Ridge again. The author did a great job of capturing my attention from the beginning, presenting a well-written and fast-paced story that kept me reading, and ending with a satisfying conclusion that makes me want to read more of the series. Although any of the books in the series may be read and enjoyed as a standalone, I highly recommend that the series be read in order so that all of the relationships can be introduced and understood in the way they were meant to be read.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions expressed are my own.

Talk about a cliffhanging ending - I already can't wait for the next book in Kay Bratt's Hart's Ridge series, and I just finished Now and Then less than 5 minutes ago! As always, Kay does a wonderful job of weaving together continued growth in the overall stories of Taylor and her family, and taking us on a journey with the mysteries of the current book. In Now and Then, we get to see more of how Anna is evolving, as well as joining Taylor and Sam as they try to solve the first case of their new venture. As usual with a Hart's Ridge book, both stories have the perfect balance of intrigue and heart. Both the current glimpse into Anna's story and Taylor's case have conclusions that this reader appreciated; and the way Kay ended the book by setting the stage for the next installment will have me waiting impatiently for its release! Thank you once again, Kay, formcontinuing to take us on this journey with Taylor and her family!

Wow, Taylor has given up her job at the police dept. She and husband Sam, have opened a private investigation business. For the first case, they go to help Sam's cousin prove her husband is not guilty in an old murder case where he was convicted without any real proof. Can they do it 10 yrs later? As usual, once you start, you can't put it down.
Can't wait for the next book in the series.

A Living Example Of "If It Sells". This is yet another solid entry into this now long-ish series, but again one that you really need to read at minimum the book immediately prior to it, as some of the situations we find ourselves in within these pages were set up in that prior book. (And if I remember correctly, I said the same thing about *that* book...) Best advice... if you are new to this series, just start at the beginning. If you like that one, know that the entire series (to date, at minimum) is very much like it in overall style and tone, so if you like that one... congratulations, you've now got 12 more books (and counting, but we'll get to that) to read!

Long time fans... well, it is already official on the book trackers: Book 14 is in fact coming, and is in fact set up in *this* book. (So the next review will *also* note "well, some of the things here were set up there..." ;) )

And that gets to the title of the review, which I do want to briefly discuss here. This is a series that Bratt outright said she only intended to go for a few books or so. I don't remember the exact number, but it was around half or less of what we now have. Then at least once and maybe twice, she also noted she was thinking of ending the series. But damn it, the books keep selling, and Bratt has a lot of very good uses for the money, including her growing family (her youngest daughter being about to give her a new grandbaby any day now as I write this review) and her long time animal rescue work.

I for one am in no way complaining, as this series in particular *just works*. The crimes are all too real, mostly because they're all based on actual, real world crimes that Bratt has heard of and fictionalized. The family at the heart of the series is all too real, particularly for its region, and is in a near perfect sweet spot such that it is relatable for nearly everyone. The romance is that softly understated nature that works so comfortably, the cursing is rare if ever, the "spice" is about as hot as a warm glass of milk (sorry, carolina reaper lovers), and even the parts where you begin to go "did she *really* have to add *that* in" work out to be pretty evenly balanced. *Everyone* has flaws, and most everyone are just trying to live their lives as best they can. This isn't Mayberry... but it could easily be a slightly more real, 2020s era facsimile. And hell, sometimes we need Mayberry. I've long said I would prefer Sheriff Andy to Judge Dredd any day. ;)

Very much recommended.

Now and Then by Kay Bratt is the thirteenth book in the Hart’s Ridge series. It is a great addition to the series and takes it in a little bit of a different direction. I like where this story is headed and will hopefully continue to read this series for a long time. I really like it and I’ll tell you why.

This is a crime series with characters centered around a family. Most of the characters are from a very dysfunctional family that we have seen come into their own and rally back to becoming a loving and functional family again. I love these people like they were a part of my own family and the best part of all they live in a small town of Hart’s Ridge. I love a book that is set in Small Town, USA.

Taylor Gray and her husband Sam have opened a private detective agency called Greystone Investigations. Taylor is hoping to spend more time with her daughter and be involved with her life. Their first big case involves Sam’s side of the family in another state keeping them away from home longer than they would like. Things are happening at home too.

I love these books. They are based on a true crime but fictionalized in the book. There is always something going on and something that calls you back into the pages. I had to know what was going on and once I picked up this book, I was lost in the world of Hart’s Ridge, Taylor and her family!

Now and Then has a bit of a cliff hanger but, if you’ve been reading this series then you know that this is the norm and you find yourself excited for the next installment. If you like small towns, investigations, family drama and love stories then Kay Bratt has written a series just for you! If you haven’t read any of them yet, what are you waiting for? The Hart’s Ridge series belongs on your night stand. Until next time…Happy Reading!

I have read the Hart’s Ridge series by Kay Bratt from the very first book and I highly recommend any new reader to start there so that you know how our main characters fit together and what their lives have been up to book 13, Now and Then.

I don’t do spoilers, we re-join Taylor and her husband, Sam as they begin a new chapter of their lives as Private Detectives. I did initially miss Taylor being part of the local police force as she was so committed to it, but as a parent I fully understand her thinking that her all-consuming career in law and order would detract from her enjoyment of her daughter. Sam is contacted by an aunt who he has not heard from for a long time. The aunt’s husband has been in prison for 10 years and Aunt Janelle has always been convinced that Clem did not carry out the crimes he was accused of. She asks Sam and Taylor to help, but there is little evidence to go on. Taylor’s tenacity and police training shine through as they start to dig.

In the meantime, back in Hart’s Ridge, 12 hours drive away, sister Anna is loving life as a newly qualified nurse. She has come through her divorce from her controlling ex and finally completed what she intended to do before meeting Pete. However, a patient is rushed into hospital and whilst treating her, Anna realises that she is the latest girlfriend of Pete. She tries to step aside but her manager says she must care for Kelsey, but when Pete realises who the nurse is he goes all out to destroy Anna once again.

Can Taylor and Sam solve the 10-year old potential mis-carriage of justice? Can Anna prevail or will Pete once again, destroy the life she has built?

It’s a brilliant read, unputdownable, and then there is a twist not to be missed.

Now and Then is the thirteenth book in the Hart’s Ridge series by Kay Bratt. Taylor traded her badge, and alongside her husband Sam, launched Graystone Investigations. A private detective agency fueled by grit, intuition and the pursuit of justice. Their latest case is a chance to overturn a decade old conviction when new evidence puts further doubt on the case. A man spent ten years in prison for a brutal crime, a crime he insists he did not commit. The only person who stands by his side, his wife. Taylor and Sam begin to dig into the case and discover missing evidence, unfollowed leads and truths buried. At the same time, Anna has finally found purpose in her nursing career. When a chance encounter with a new patient puts her face to face with her ex-husband, Anna finds herself falsely accused of a crime and begins the uphill battle to clear her name.
The Hart’s Ridge series has grown to a wonderful story of family and resilience with suspense and the journey to justice. Now and Then is a story that starts slowly like a fire you didn’t know was there until it burns into a raging inferno. A man convicted by a shortsighted investigation, a wife who never gave up hope and Taylor and Sam fueled by a drive to find the truth seemingly lost in time. Anna’s story was equally engaging as I wanted to wring her ex-husband’s neck. The story does end with a cliffhanger, a heart stopping cliffhanger that I am eager to see resolved in the next book, coming soon. I loved this story as I could not put it down. If you have not read the Hart’s Ridge series, I highly, highly recommend it. If you are a fan of the Hart’s Ridge series, you will love Now and Then.

Taylor has left the police department after the birth of her baby girl and she and her husband Sam have launched Greystone Investigations. Taylor and Sam both work hard to make sure that justice is served. As with the other books in this series, the author manages to give her readers a dual plot that really makes things interesting. In this book, the other plot centers on Anna, Taylor's sister.

Taylor and Sam are contacted by a relative of Sam's and involves a 10 year old cold case. Janelle's husband, Clem, has been in jail for 10 years for murdering his mother in law. Janelle has always believed that her husband was innocent and that the police took the easy way out but no one believes her. When she gets a new small piece of evidence, she contacts Sam and he and Taylor work diligently to solve the cold case.

Anna is proud of her work as a nurse. She had been married to someone who psychologically abused her and she is relieved to be divorced. However, when his new girlfriend is in the hospital, she charges Anna with theft and Anna is suspended from the job that she loves. Can she prove her innocence and go back to her job and will the sparks with a new doctor signal an HEA for her?

I have loved every book in this series and every time a new book comes out, I think it's the best yet. I wasn't sure how it would work with Taylor out of the police department because it was so much a part of her personal identity but I really enjoyed the new investigative team with her husband and think that it will lead to even more wonderful stories in future books.

The newest addition to the captivating Harts Ridge series by the talented Kay Bratt is the gripping Now and Then.

We meet Graystone Investigations, a company founded by Sam and Taylor, who has left her law enforcement career to start this venture. They aspire to take on more intriguing cases than the typical “my wife’s having secret liaisons, and I want to know with whom” scenario when they receive a message from Sam’s aunt, who lives over two hours away. She seeks their help to uncover the truth about her husband’s conviction, as she believes he is innocent of the crime for which he received a life sentence!

Meanwhile, Anna has begun working in the wards of the local hospital after obtaining her license. However, her ex-husband continues to create trouble for her. When she meets the charming John, she remains cautious, wanting to see how their relationship develops.

Although this is the thirteenth book in the series, you don’t have to read the previous ones to enjoy it, but doing so will enhance your experience! Kay captivates readers from the beginning of each story, and her stories just get better and better! I love how we learn more about the family as the series progresses, and it’s delightful that they all live on the land where they grew up, thanks to Taylor's successful purchase of the property. I love revisiting these characters with each new tale!

I highly recommend grabbing your copy today! It’s available on Amazon.

I am writing this independent review based on the novel Now and
Then, from an ARC copy of the book. Now and Then encompasses Sam and Taylor’s second case for their new joint detective business. It also continues Taylor’s sister Ana’s story.
First Sam and Taylor visit a distant relative of Sam’s. Her husband has been Incarcerated for a brutal murder that he and his wife insist he is innocent. I really enjoyed seeing how well Sam and Taylor work together. I also feel that Taylor is more confident solving crime with Sam than she was working at the sheriff’s office. I noticed that Sam has a great instinct for questioning witnesses. I think that Sam and Taylor have gotten their marriage and business off to a good start. But will they solve the murder in time for Clem?
Anna has came so far since she left her abusive marriage. She feels confident to return to nursing, the career she loved and excelled at. Just as she gets her career started, someone sabotages her career. A valuable bracelet is found in Anna’s locker and her supervisor and hospital HR blame her. Will the real thief get discovered in time for Anna to prove she is innocent?
I enjoy the Hart’s Ridge series because we also get to see glimpses of familiar characters from previous books. I highly recommend this book, Now and Then, along with the rest of the novels in the Hart’s Ridge by Kay Bratt’s series.

Now and Then is Book #13 is the best selling Hart's Ridge series by best selling author, Kay Bratt.

After reading each book in the series I think they can't get any better but lo and behold they do! "Now and Then" follows Taylor in a new direction. Taylor has traded in her badge and started a private detective agency called, Graystone Investigations. Taylor and her husband Sam are working together. Their first case is a cold case that could overturn a decade-old conviction.

Taylor's sister, Anna is struggling, she's been suspended from her hospital job as a nurse as she was accused of theft. Anna's trying to clear her name but is running into unforeseen objects along the way.

These two sister's and their individual struggles had me turning the pages and rooting for justice for them both!

Thank you Kay for giving me the honor of reviewing "Now and Then" Harts Ridge Book #13 before the publication date of 7/25/2025. As with the previous books in this series I highly recommend this 5 STAR book!

Be prepared for book #14 as this story ends with one heck of a cliffhanger!

I cannot believe we are on the 13th book of the Hart's Ridge series!
We are back with Taylor Gray and her husband Sam, where she is no longer a member of the police force. Instead, she has teamed up with Sam to start their very own PI agency, allowing for them both to be there for their baby, Lennon, and Alice, Sam's daughter, as well as working on jobs they are passionate about.
Their first big case has a connection to Sam, as his aunt is fighting to get her husband's conviction from ten years ago overturned with some new speculative evidence.
Alongside Taylor's adventure, we focus on Taylor's sister, Anna's, life as she settles into her dream job of being a nurse now her divorce is settled and the children are happy. But Happiness is just not meant to be straightforward for her, as she finds herself in a dubious situation, all thanks to her ex.
Both storylines had me turning pages faster and faster, as usual, because I always find myself fully immersed in these books.
That there is an inkling of reality in each of the cases that are featured in the books always makes these even more interesting to read!
And I cannot wait to read #14!

What an amazing read, this 13th Hart's Ridge Book. The book was one of the best in the series! The storytelling, the characters and the events. We are back with the busy Gray family, it is Taylor together with her husband Sam that have started their new detective agency Graystone Investigations.
Sam is approached by his aunt Janelle Tiffin needing his help, to get her husband Clem free, convicted for a murder he hadn't committed. As the storytelling unravels, Sam and Taylor conduct their investigation trying to find out a way to get justice to happen for Clem. The book also has a parallel story, it's about Anna, Taylor's sister who's is working as a nurse. Anna also ends up in difficulties hard to control, things from her past, she gets the help of the Doctor Jack. It is nice to follow the rest of the family, even those not close nearby. The book has many twists and turns, plenty of action a fast paced criminal story, with the chance to new beginnings. The author leaves us with a cliffhanger part too. I'm eager to read the next book in the series! I'm grateful to have read this book and can definitely recommend this read.

WHATTTTTT? Oh, that cliffhanger!!!! Kay Bratt has done it AGAIN. She has written another amazing story - well, two stories within the same book - and capped off the end with a cliffhanger that will have your eyes wide open, your mouth on the floor, and your voice saying WHATTTTTT?

This book follows Taylor and Sam, having newly opened their own PI company and taking on their first case, which involves one of Sam's own family members. It's nice to see a bit more of him here, and get some background on him, even though it's not a ton about him. The case is a tough one, but neither Sam nor Taylor give up on it, and both are able to use their skills and their intuition to follow it through.

The book also follows Anna, as she navigates her new normal, and learns to live with and love herself for the great woman, mother, sister, and nurse that she is...all the while dodging a raw deal that someone is trying to slap on her.

Another great installment in this wonderful series, full of characters that we have all grown to know and love. You won't be disappointed, but then again - Kay Bratt never disappoints, does she?

Gray stone Investigators.

Wow, just Wow! This book has it all.
Sam and Taylor have started their own investigation company. A lot of small cases but then a call from a woman whose husband was in prison for a murder that she is convinced he is innocent of. Not many naive a would stand by their husband for 10 years.
Would Sam and Taylor take the case? Was there a chance?
They went and spoke with the lady and started digging. And there is a family connection to Sam. And as they dug more evidence of a man being wrongfully convicted came up. But where would they find a lawyer willing to take the case. And could they find the real murderer? How?
And Anna, poor Anna trying to move on from Pete. But that jerk and his family just won't leave her alone. She is building a new life that she enjoys but he is determined to destroy that using his new girlfriend.
You won't b be disappointed in how this one moves along.
And then that cliffhanger!! Just when Taylor thought she can relax is someone in her family in trouble? Who?
We have to wait for next book to find out
Another great book by Kay Bratt

I absolutely love reading this series of books. They're part mystery (based on real-life cases) and part romance, with a big family unit at its core.

After the escapade in Mexico, Taylor realised that she and Sam made a great investigative team; so she left the Sheriffs office and became a private investigator, alongside her husband. Graystone Investigations has been set up, and their first case is for Sam's Aunt. They need to find the evidence that will clear Sam's Uncle's name; he's spent ten years in prison for a murder he maintains he did not commit.

Anna is working as a nurse and enjoying every minute. However, her ex-husband, Pete, is causing problems again. His girlfriend Kelsey was admitted to the hospital she works at with pneumonia. Anna was her nurse, and she's been accused of stealing an expensive bracelet. She's also met someone who may just be able to break through the barrier she has put around her heart, but can she trust him?

The books in this unputdownable series are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

I now have to wait until the next book is released to see what's happening in Harts Ridge.

Knocked it right out of the park, Kay Bratt!! Hart's Ridge former deputy Taylor Gray and her husband Sam have formed a private investigation agency and their first case revolves around one of Sam's family members. Janelle Tiffen's husband Clem has spent the past ten years in prison for a heinous crime that Janelle says he did not commit, but she can't convince anyone. She approaches Sam and Taylor with all the work she has done in hopes that they might look into the case. As far as the officials go, they have long ago considered the case closed. Do Sam and Taylor stand any chance at helping Janelle prove her husband's innocence?
As Taylor and Sam work on their case, Anna, Taylor's sister and a well-regarded nurse has her work cut out for her in proving that her ex-husband, Pete Chambers and his influential family are trying to frame her and force the hospital staff into firing her over a supposed theft from a patient.
Put all this together and # 13 of Hart's Ridge is one heck of a nail biter!!

This story starts with the first case for Graystone Investigations, the new PI service started by Taylor and Sam, and it’s a personal one for Sam, as it involves his aunt and uncle. Ten years ago, his uncle was sent to jail for a murder he claims he didn’t do, and his wife, who knows he couldn’t have done it, has been trying ever since to get his conviction overturned. Using the investigative skills that helped Taylor as a police detective, they work towards finding the real killer and hopefully having the proof needed to get Sam’s uncle out of jail.

Meanwhile, Anna Gray has gone back to work as a nurse in the ER department of the local hospital. She has no idea how life changing this will be, in a good way, thanks to one of the ER doctors. However, when her former husband’s latest fling ends up in her hospital for several days, unexpected accusations occur, putting Anna’s new career on the line.

This was another fun, entertaining journey with the Gray family. You don’t want to miss this latest book in the Hart’s Ridge series.

The latest release by Kay Bratt, Now and Then, which is the 13th in the Hart’s Ridge series was excellent. This was two storylines in one with a cliffhanger of an ending that sets us up for the next book in the series coming out in November.

Taylor has left the Sheriff’s Office and branches out on her own as a Private Investigator along with her husband, Sam. Sam’s Uncle Clem was convicted of murdering his mother-in-law 10 years ago and his wife wants the help of Taylor and Sam to prove his innocence. Meanwhile we get to dive into Anna’s story. She has finished nursing school and is working as an ER Nurse when her ex-husband’s girlfriend ends up as her patient. Nothing good can come of this of course and her newfound career could be the cost. Throw into the mix a new love interest for Anna and this book feels complete. This kept me up late nights reading and I didn’t want to put it down. I would definitely recommend this, but read the first 12 books in the series first. You won’t be sorry.

Taylor and her husband, Sam, owners of Graystone Investigations, have taken on a case involving Sam’s uncle by marriage, currently spending life in prison for a crime he claims he didn’t commit. The crime has caused his Aunt Janelle to be estranged from her family for a decade, and she’s hired them to look into researching the case to see if anything can be done to prove his innocence. They have their doubts.

Trouble has also developed at home with Taylor’s sister, Anna, who has been suspended from her job as a nurse after being accused of theft. Just when things were going good for her, it seems her ex has found yet another way to discredit her and ruin her life. This time he has his powerful parents behind him.

And then there’s that little tease at the end. Oh, my! Can’t wait for the next book! I stayed up late and finished this in one sitting. This series is awesome!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great read with two story lines. Taylor and her husband, Sam, have a new investigation firm. They have their first real case. Sam's uncle has been in jail for 10 years already for a crime that he didn't commit and his wife is trying to get him released. He was convicted on a statement made by a child and, seemingly, no other evidence. They get to work even though it looks like there won't be a chance of getting enough evidence to convince the authorities to reexamine the case.

Taylor's sister, Anna, escaped an abusive marriage to a wealthy and influential man. She's become a nurse and she's a caring and talented medical professional. When one of her patients is the current girlfriend of he ex-husband, he decides to extract vengeance on Anna.

The crime in the first storyline is based on a real story. The reader has to wonder how there was such a miscarriage of justice.

I've loved reading this series and I'm very happy to learn that Kay Bratt will extend this popular series.

What can I say about this series that I haven't already said? I love this series and I love each trip and adventure that Kay Bratt takes me on with every new book. I love the cases that Taylor gets wrapped up in as well as the personal family happenings that are a part of each episode. I get the mystery right along with the family drama. What's not to love?

Now and Then takes Taylor and Sam on a journey to help Sam's relative prove a man's innocence while back at home, Taylor's sister is fighting for her job, after being accused of stealing. The two storylines are compelling and kept me reading, anxious to know the outcome of both incidents.

The Hart's Ridge series is an amazing series, with outstanding characters and interesting stories, stories that the author bases on true crime events. I highly recommend Now and Then as well as this whole series—it just keeps getting better and better.

Another wonderful book by Kay Bratt. Her books are always a page turner and keep you invested in the story until the end. Taylor and Sam formed Graystone Investigations and have their work cut out for them. A relative of Sam's was convicted of a murder 10 years ago. Clem's wife, Jenelle, has never given up on her husband believing he was wrongly incarcerated, which she wants to prove otherwise.
Taylor and Sam follow up on old leads hoping for the truth to come out. Will they ever find out the truth? The other great part of this story is about Anna and the problems that she encountered when younger. Her ex-husband Pete has other bad things up his sleeve. Will the truth or lies prevail in his vendetta against her? You will have to read this great story to get your answers so grab your copy today. I received an advanced free reader copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is definitely a 5 ⭐️ read!
Taylor Gary left the police department after she had her baby girl. Taylor and her husband Sam decided to open a private investigation business. The first case they take on it’s a case for Sam’s aunt Janelle. Her husband Clem has been incarcerated for 10 years, but Janelle definitely knows he is innocent. No way could her Clem kill her mother and attack her niece.
There are two stories being told in the book. Anna, Taylor’s sister. Anna is a nurse with a horrible ex-husband. And now he is at the hospital with his new woman and setting Anna up for theft.
This book is just amazing! Two wonderful stories that will keep you reading right straight through.
I cannot wait for the next installment Kay. And with the cliffhanger you left, I hope it doesn’t take long for book 14.

Thank you, Kay for this ARC in return for my honest review.

Taylor Gray and her husband Sam have combined their talents and opened up Graystone Investigations. They are brought in to investigate the potential unjust murder conviction of a family member ten years previously. There is also a second story line involving Anna Gray and her evil ex-husband which deals with the sensitive subject of emotional and physical marital abuse. The common theme of these sub-stories is the need to find justice for bad things that happened to good people. I love the character development, especially the strength and determination that the sisters needed in their search for freedom from past wrongs, and the way that each sister worked through their struggles to find closure from one part of their lives to move forward in a better direction.
I highly recommend this book, and I look forward to more adventures by Graystone Investigations in more books.

I enjoyed reading this thirteenth book in the Harts Ridge series. The characters really pulled me into the drama and the mysteries. I really liked that Taylor Gray had quit her job to raise her daughter, Lennon and that she and her husband, Sam had opened Grayston Investigations. One of their first cases was trying to find justice for a relative of Sam's.
I also admired Anna Gray and how she had gotten her nursing degree after her divorce. Her abusive ex-husband was still creating problems, this time at the hospital where she worked. I liked her courage and how she was a good role model for her two children.
I could not put the book down and it had my heart pounding at times as I worried for the characters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
