This book was ok, the mc’s were ok, and sweet to each other, the story was ok, but not really captivating. And so many things didn’t really seem thought through. For example his big brother is very protective of Lennox, but it wasn’t really clear why. Lennox lied to him about working in a stripclub. He said he worked in a coffee shop. If the brothers live so close, why wouldn’t he be caught in that lie? Since they were so close, his brother definitely would visit him there. And why make up a completely different lie about his stripper best friend? Also: don’t these guys have parents? Why are they never mentioned?
Jensen seemed a bit quick to change his orientation “but you are straight!” I really wished writers in the LBGTQ+-area wouldn’t be so hung up on labels. If a man likes another man he’s apparently not so straight. And if he doesn’t question it, why is there always a friend telling him he can’t like what he likes because that’s not wat straight men do.
Anyway, the story itself is not bad, but also not really what the blurb promised. It’s just very uneventful. The only thing they get excited about is whether the brother finds out. And since the brother is not really homophobic, that’s not a really big deal either…
Don’t think I’ll reread. I do think this writer will be better with more experience at some point, but just not yet.

Lennox is a dancer at the male strip club Peaches. Since his older brother Nick was overprotective of him, Lennox lied and said he worked at a coffee shop. Jensen, Nick’s best friend, ends up heading to Peaches for a party his boss is hosting. He is completely caught off guard when he discovers the dancer on stage is his best friend’s baby brother Lennox.
Lennox is gay and has had a string of bad boyfriends. He did have a crush on Jensen growing up, but since Jensen is straight, he knew nothing would ever come of it. But after Jensen sees Lennox dancing at Peaches, he can’t stop thinking about him. He soon realizes he may not be as straight as he thought.
Once Lennox and Jensen start seeing each other, they keep it a secret. They wanted to make sure it was something first, especially before telling Nick. Lennox and Jensen fall for each other fast, and it was nice to see how happy they made each other.
This story was cute but just okay for me. Personally I wasn’t a fan of the writing style. There were also a couple of scenes that didn’t work for me. Not much happened and the only real drama was when Nick finds out about Lennox and Jensen. I did enjoy that this story was low angst and that Lennox and Jensen got their HEA.

Lennox has always had a secret crush on his brother's very straight best friend. I mean he’s hot, tattoos, piercings, a biker, with a beard and a backwards hat- were talking the entire package, are you fanning yourself yet?? But he’s always just been Lennox, Nick's younger brother, someone to look out for, someone who’s also like a little brother. Until one night at a bachelor party with some pole dancing and maybe a skirt and all of a sudden someone’s not as straight as they thought they were.
✨I loved Lennox- headstrong, confident and doing things on his time and not settling for anything less than he deserves. Jensen is like the perfect boyfriend and the right match for Lennox, he loves him just how he is- his sassiness and all, he’s such a sucker for Lennox and it’s adorable. I loved Lennox’s friends, there’s a couple people who I’d love to see more of and I’m hoping we get their stories as well! Great start to a new series!

I really enjoyed this.
I fell for Lennox and Jensen instantly.
I love a hot little stripper, add some lace panties and the occasional skirt, and you've got me hooked.

Lennox and Jensen were really sweet together. They made each other happy and flourish as individuals. Jensen supported Lennox no matter what, especially his love for dancing at a strip club and gaining confidence in wearing a skirt out in public. These things were used against him with previous exes but Jensen gave him the courage to be his true self.
I found it wholesome that Lennox waited to give his body to someone who he felt deserved him and that turned out to be Jensen. Jensen’s comfortability in his newly discovered sexuality was a delight. He never shied away from exploring new things with Lennox. He was all in after their first kiss and being best friends with Lennox’s brother wasn’t going to stop him.
Lennox’s friends from the club were a hoot, each one with their own fun personality. I’m rooting for Jonas and Preston who will be the main characters in the next book in the series.

Ahh the good old brothers best friend trope. I do like reading those.
Lennox is a nursing school student by day and at night a male stripper at the club Peaches.
Jenson is best friends with Lennox’s older brother Nick, since childhood. Jenson’s boss has his bachelor party at Peaches.
‘My head turns on a swivel as though my best friend is going to jump out and catch me watching his baby brother. But hell, I’ve never seen Lennox like this before. ‘
Straight boy Jenson can’t get Lennox off his mind and returns to the club. Lennox sees him and freaks out because of his protective older brother. Jenson reassures him that he hasn’t told Nick.
Jenson goes back to the club again and realised he’s attracted to Lennox.
“I swear, at this point, you should just tell Nick where I work. He wouldn’t dare come sit and watch me.”
Nick has a birthday party. Jenson and Lennox have a talk which involves their tongues in each others mouths.
The party isn’t a great place to try to talk so they decide to meet at Jensons the next day.

This is a breezy, low-angst, bi-awakening love story with an added dash of requited love with a longtime crush, and a (penetration) virgin hero. Lennox is a cute genderqueer man, with a huge interest in skirts, panties, stockings, and heels. He loves his new friends at Peaches, a big cadre of equally cute stripper pals who might be looking for some love. Meanwhile, Jensen’s the big, tattooed, motorcycle-riding IT specialist who has a filthy mouth and also draws in his down time. I felt like there were a lot of check-boxes ticked off in this one, while the plot hit all the right beats at the right time.
I think if you’re looking for a simple and easy romance, this one could be a good choice. It has nearly no conflict, and there’s a natural progression of increasing intimacy.

When one of the dancers comes on stage he recognises him, as his best friend Nick’s younger brother, Lennox. Jensen cannot take his eyes off Lennox while dancing on stage. He does not understand why, as he has never found any man attractive before.
Jensen goes back to Peaches a few nights to make sure that Lennox is ok, but he is not seen, until one night he bumps into Lennox. Lennox is making Jensen want things he has never wanted before. Jensen is not afraid to explore things with Lennox, and never once questions his intentions with him. He embraces being with Lennox in every way.
Their biggest concern is how their relationship will affect Nick.
This first book in the Peaches series from Ashley Rayne is just so sweet. It is so well written and the story flows easily. It has introduced us to many new characters who could each have their own story to tell.
Lennox and Jensen were just perfect together. Lennox was a sweetheart but Jensen was next level adorable.

Short and spicy. Cheese on toast, but I always love that. It’s a little predictable, but both characters are sweet, and the group of friends are great.
I loved Lennox; he was unapologetically himself. Yes, he kept a few things from his brother, but who doesn’t? He’s brave, kind, and just wants to be loved. He takes life in its stride; working as a dancer is something he loves while he trains to be a nurse. He’s a great character, maybe a little naive when it comes to men, but he knows what he’s looking for and won’t settle for less.
Jenson, on the other hand, was a confusing character for me. Jenson seemed like a hodgepodge of different personalities, like he couldn’t settle on just one, so he had to be them all. He wasn’t a bad character, just not a clear one either. Most of the time, he was actually really sweet, but I felt like I couldn’t get a hold on who he was trying to be.
That little corny Titanic moment made me laugh. That’s a new one I haven’t seen yet, but it was definitely funny.
Tell me, Jonas is Preston’s real match?! Good start to the series.

This was a very enjoyable read! It was low angst, a very easy read, had some great main and side characters and quite a bit of steam.
Jensen is Lennox's brothers best friend, who sees Lennox while he's dancing at the club he's working at and changes the way he's been seeing Lennox for years. I loved how confident Jensen was during his awakening, and nothing scared him at all. They were very sweet and fun together, and I loved how efortless it all seemed and how naturally they fit together. I loved how Lennox's confidence in himself grew with dancing, and also with the help of Jensen.
I really enjoyed the friend group from Peaches and their banter. I'm excited to see what happens next in this series!

Dee’s Grade: A+
Ash and Marcus make me swoony. They are so real as a couple and they manage to keep that banter and push and pull whether they are in love or in hate with each other.
Off the Rim is at least tied with Man On for my fave of the series. This one isn’t as heavy as that book. The topics this book deals with are important while keeping the book lowish angst unlike Man On which is high angst. The story in Off the Rim and characters are equally compelling to me though.

This was an absolutely wonderful book. I fell in love with Jensen and Lennox from the start.
It was nice to read a nice pace of the relationship and love build between them. Every soul deserves, and Jenson is one of the kindest, most patient loving, and understanding characters I've read. I can't wait to read Preston's story in book 2.

What a cute book. I'm not always a fan of the brothers' best friend thing but this was well done. Lennox is a sweet man that needs to be protected at all cost.

When Jensen sees his best friend’s brother (Lennox) dance at a local club, he can’t stop thinking about him. For Lennox, seeing Jensen and the possibility of him revealing his secret is potentially a bit too much.
A brother’s best friend, opposites attract romance is what readers get when they start the Peaches series by Ashley Rayne. This is a reasonably quick instalment with slivers of information about future characters, starting off with these two. There’s more background to Lennox and not as much about Jensen, and the chasing by Jensen was more about him showing up wherever Lennox was. I wanted to see more of the basis for the relationship as it all happened quite quickly for Jensen, seemingly out of nowhere.
I liked them both - the friendships of Lennox brought more dimension, and depth though, as opposed to Jensen who I wanted to see more of his character being explored.

I for one thought it was different and very cute. Lennox and Jensen are a perfect fit to each other. Being they have Lennox's brother in common and know of each other it makes things easier on them. I love how Jensen is at first so protective of him but has an awakening that he didnt even realize at all. Ashley has written the bi-awakening before and it all turned out so wonderful. The first kiss i mean way to go Jensen & Lennox. Also some parts just made me giggle and kick my feet.

Can i just talk about their first kiss yea its in a bathroom at the Lennox's brothers party and they had to hide it but still it was so cute that one Lennox got to kiss Jensen and Jensen finally able to give in to what he was feeling and being awakened and open to doing that with someone who he could trust.
Another point is the first time Jensen asked to have Lennox top him and it was the first penetration for them both. Jensen never having that with a man and Lennox never doing that to a man. Jensen was still controlling and telling him to keep going and do things and Lennox listened and loved it. Which was a big moment for Lennox.
Another would be the drawing scene. I was like wait are they going to mention the Titanic scene and say the famous line but add boys instead of girls. Yet it turned out that way and i was giggling and covering my face and was like oh my gosh this is perfect. Only thing is to have an art scene added to this book would have been just all that much more amazing to see.
Also when they first tell each other the L word.. Yes Love... Jensen said it first and i was hoping it would be beautiful it made me laugh. Lennox said no then got all tongue tied and said he wanted to say it first. Which it was funny watching Lennox get all tongue tied over saying i love you. He said it back and all is well with them which made me love them together all that much more.
Next would be yes another moment of penetration but this time it was Lennox to be the bottom and it was so sweet that he waited just for the right man. He knew deep down he was waiting for someone worthy to have it and Jensen fit that to a T. The way they get so worked up and wanting each other is just so adorable.
And lastly is the ending. Jensen proposing to Lennox he was nervous and Lennox was so ready for him to ask this question he was so needy for him to ask it. The words were so sweet and thoughtful that Jensen has said to Lennox. Lennox saying yes and tackling them made me laugh and want to cheer for them.
I cant wait to get the book to read it again and highlight every part which it was almost every page of this book. but still after everything it was yet another 5 stars from Ashley and i cant wait i need the next one like yesterday. Cant wait to see more of this group so many stories that could happen. Plus if its like her BU series you see a few glimpses of the past couple in the book which i am just hoping we see Lennox and Jensen again.

The story of Lennox and Jensen drew me in from the beginning. Lennox was a fascinating character to me, going to school to be a nurse, financing his schooling by working as a dancer in a strip club. He loved what he did, and it really boosted his confidence and image of himself, giving him a creative outlet while working in a safe environment where he could express his individuality and be happy. He had always made poor choices in men, not finding one willing to accept him as who he was, until a chance encounter at work brought a man he had known most of his life into his current orbit.
Jensen has been his brother’s best friend since childhood, he is a man Lennox always thought was sexy, but he was straight and out of the realm of possibility, until suddenly, he wasn’t. After seeing and recognizing Lennox at the club during a bachelor’s party, Jensen couldn’t get Lennox out of his head. Concerned, he checked up on him, to make sure he was safe at the club, but the attraction, almost obsession, remained. With the mutual attraction, concern for brother Nick initially holds them back, until one night, a kiss ignites everything and they need to see where this can go.
Jensen is so attuned to Lennox and his needs and desires, he is willing to go as slow as needed for Lennox to be sure that this is something he wants to pursue, without pressure from Jensen. Lennox isn’t used to not being pressured for intimacy he isn’t ready for, and Jensen’s restraint is a big plus in his favor. The relationship develops slowly, hidden from Nick until both feel there is a future moving forward. I loved the “twenty questions” format they used to learn more about the big things about each other, spanning the whole time the relationship was evolving. It helped open up communication between them, which was a huge factor in how well they got along, and helped when the confrontation with Nick finally came.
The relationship was an example of one which developed slowly, each supporting the other in their creative endeavors and in the expression of their desires and boundaries, concentrating on learning about each other and their needs and desires, rather than a relationship based wholly on sexual attraction. Both became better with each other, friends and family because of this connection. Lennox had definitely found the person meant for him, and Jensen felt the same.
One couple solidly set, time to move on to another employee at Peaches set to find his perfect other half.. I wonder if Jonas will be the one for Preston, or if a new suitor will be waiting in the wings. Can’t wait to find out.

3.5*
Cute, sweet, and straightforward. No drama, aside from the brother issue. Jensen is struck by insta-love/lust. His bi-awakening has a couple funny moments, but is mostly a nonissue. Lennox and Jensen don’t resist each other, but it takes a couple days to communicate. Once they start talking, they’re entirely transparent with each other.
I found many of these elements a bit too simple or unrealistic. I wish there was more depth to the bi-awakening. I wanted some more time in the “will they, won’t they” phase because it’s usually such a fun part of romance. The total emotional honesty is also a trip. Must be nice to have such internal clarity and the ability to communicate those feelings effectively. 😂
This book caught my attention because I really like stories about femme guys embracing their identities, defying stereotypes, and flexing their strengths. On those fronts, the book is successful. Lennox is a multifaceted character who is powerful on stage, but vulnerable to anxieties in the quiet of his own mind. He cares for his brother, but keeps secrets because he wants to be his own person. He loves dressing femme, but doesn’t want to make other people uncomfortable. I feel for him. It’s hard to be your authentic self when you also like making people happy.
On the other side, Jensen is romance novel perfect. He’s the whole tall, muscled physical package, plus he’s always accepting, encouraging, respectful, and protective. He’s smart, independent, can cook, has his own house, and rides a motorcycle. No character flaws that I can think of. He could use a few flaws to ground him as a real person. Jensen’s drawing is probably where we see the most depth to his personality, and that part is nicely done.
The found family elements of the book are definitely a highlight. Fun group of friends. Eventually, the brother throws a big ‘ole tantrum, which, as the only drama in the book, I’ll take. 😂 He has big feelings, does not communicate effectively, and then isolates. Now that’s my kinda guy. 🤣
I like sweet romances, but it’s still important to have some challenges inside the relationship, too. We want these guys to learn about each other and endure. When things happen quickly and perfectly, my inner skeptic gets harder to ignore. That said, I like this book, especially the focus on building each other up to chase what makes us happy.

I want to preface this review by simply saying I have been waiting for this book since the first teaser which has been way too long ago. I actually devoured this as soon as I got my hands on it, but life got busy and I forgot to post the review🫣Luckily it hasn't released yet, so I'm still in ARC mode haha.
Without further ado: I absolutely loved Jensen and Lennox. I loved their dynamic, their growth, both internally and externally. I loved how mostly everything fell into place for them while they figured things out together. Sometimes simply falling in love can be the best stories ever told!!!

After a string of bad luck in love, Lennox is left with some confidence issues and a dancing career that he loves, but he's hiding it from his over-protective older brother.
Jensen's bi-awakening was met with one moment of hesitation trying to figure out what the heck he was feeling and once he figured it out, he was all in.
While most of the book is centered around them slowly falling in love with each other, the part that stuck with me the most is the fact that Jensen constantly reinforced Lennox's self-worth into him. He didn't just say Lennox deserved better than what he's experienced in the past, but he showed him he deserves better than what he's gotten in the past by treating him better.
In the process of not only reinforcing Lennox's confidence and reminding him how well he deserved to be treated, he also gave him the confidence to show sides of himself with his friends and in more public spaces that he'd been hiding. I loved how much Lennox blossomed beneath Jensen's steady and affirming love.
Both characters grew because of the other. Not only in confidence and in happiness, but Lennox in showing sides of himself he was always afraid to show & Jensen finding confidence in his art to the point of trying to hone his talents on a more serious level than just doodling.
A sassy dancer with a flare for lace and skirts, and a tatted biker who is also a swoony artist, this is a high heat, low-angst book that I know I'll come back to re-read again and again.

I love how little angst Ashley's novels have. Don't get me wrong, angst pushing the book forward really well (and who doesn't love all of the trope-y feels that come with angst), but sometimes it's nice to have a emotion-easy read.
Not to mention the brother's-best-friend trope in this one! Looooove that cliche. It's cheesy and awkward at times, but it's adorable and sweet and utterly perfect for Lennox and Jensen. Or should I saw Lennox and Jensen are utterly perfect for each other.
I loooooved all of the potential for other books that here hinted at in this novel, too. SO many possibly couples and storylines!!

I love how little angst Ashley's novels have. Don't get me wrong, angst pushing the book forward really well (and who doesn't love all of the trope-y feels that come with angst), but sometimes it's nice to have a emotion-easy read.
Not to mention the brother's-best-friend trope in this one! Looooove that cliche. It's cheesy and awkward at times, but it's adorable and sweet and utterly perfect for Lennox and Jensen. Or should I saw Lennox and Jensen are utterly perfect for each other.
I loooooved all of the potential for other books that here hinted at in this novel, too. SO many possibly couples and storylines!!

This is a cute overall story, it just didn't quite hit the mark for me.
I liked the characters well enough, especially all of the workers at the club. Lennox and Jensen were very cute with each other, and I liked that there wasn't a whole lot of angst over the queer awakening Jensen had. I also liked that it wasn't all a rush to penetrative sex and we explored other things along the way.
I did receive an ARC of this book, so I don't know how similar it is to the final version, but I just felt like a lot of things were kind of unfinished. Beyond Lennox having bad taste in men, he seemed to have his life together, so his brother being so overprotective was a bit implausible. And importantly, other than everyone saying Nick was overprotective, we never really actually saw it.
And while I understand not wanting to tell your brother you work at a strip club, I also don't really see how lying about working at a coffee shop, a thing that is easily verifiable, would work at all. Really just everything with Nick seemed to exist to bring us to the inevitable confrontation
I also feel like plotwise, not a whole lot happens in this book. Once Jensen and Lennox start seeing each other, we just get snapshots of them together, which is cute but also not really moving the book towards anything. There just wasn't really anything there to keep me wanting to read about what happened next, because the answer was always "not much". The whole thing kind of read like it was unfinished.
