Guess who’s back from the KC’s this week.... DAWSON JOHNSON!
I was never the biggest Dawson fan in the KC books, but that was only because I needed Keats to be with Aiden and he was competition. Now that he’s not, I love him and love that he’s being featured in this series!!! There is something that went on since we’ve last seen Dawson... and I was shocked with the little we found out, but I’m dying to get all the details! And Vanessa is back as well! The girl we all loved to hate in the beginning has seemed to change for the better.
Vanessa and Dawson play a big part in this installment, but we also get more RILEY and a new interest with him... not sure how I feel about that yet. As always, I love the Keatyn and Aiden! I’m loving this series and how it comes out weekly like a tv show. These are quick reads, I think this one took me about an hour, but I will never tire of reading about my favorite characters as adults! I love it!!! It’s official... I’m addicted!

Keatyn and Riley throw themselves in to their latest project, a television series called Daddy’s Angel when a chance encounter at an industry party lands them the perfect lead actress. Being the sweet loving friend that she is, Keatyn is eager to accept Ariela back in to the fold. HOWEVER, Aiden let’s her know that she needs to be careful because your ‘so called’ friends can also sell you off to tabloids. Can Ariela even be trusted? Keatyn decides to test her and see.
Ariela’s plan is of course to win back Riley but her mistake from senior year looms over her like a dark shadow when it comes to him. Her rejection made him bitter towards her and it shows in every scene between the two. Riley keeps up the A-hole attitude towards her, yet I think he’s starting to crack. Oh yes, I would say he’s definitely starting to crack…I judge this from his tears…
The episode is told from multiple characters points of view. It has fun witty banter, some angst, a good dose of jealousy and talk of an unforgettable kiss with hopes of a replay!
On a side note, I really want Knox to get his own book the guy is hilarious!

Episode #1.3 introduces us to four more characters; we have Tristan, Tyler, Vanessa, and Dawson. Vanessa is one of Keatyn's best friends and her bullshit-o-meter if there is anyone who can suspect lies from a mile away it's Vanessa. Keatyn wants to welcome Ariela back into their group of friends as it's been ten years too long. Aiden and Riley are not sure they can trust her though, so Keatyn sets up a lunch with Vanessa and Ariela. She passes, and Vanessa invites her to come and live with her for the time being as they will be working together to help create the perfect wedding for Keatyn. Riley's older brother Dawson is back and will be working for Captive Films. It seems that Vanessa and Dawson were an item back in the heydays and their passion for one another has definitely not fizzled out. Will Vanessa who is finally divorced and free, be open to start a new romance and test the waters with her old lover Dawson ? Is this a second chance romance for the both of them ? I just preorder the rest of the season! I will give 2.99 a week to keep up with these characters, I am totally addicted. I love it. These novella's remind me of a good Guiding Light or As the world turns episode.

This episode was awesome as we gained even more of the cast on crew of the original Keats days!! The addition of Vanessa and Dawson was a real treat. I wanted to smack some sense into Riley and seriously that kiss alone should be making him second guess himself!!

Argh, I cannot get enough of this series! Riley, you are so meant to be with Ariela, give her a chance to win you back, she made a mistake and now she needs to redeem herself.
Dawson! What the heck have you been doing these past years? What happened with Whitney and why are you so shy all of a sudden? I think he has been burnt and needs some sweet TLC to make him all better.

Fantastic!! Love that we are getting to see everyone. Dawson is back and seems very delicious! Sad that he went through a bad emotional divorce. Love how he and Vanessa have this sexy flirtatious tease going on with each other. It was tough seeing just how devastated Riley took Ariela's leaving. He's trying to deal with all these resurfacing emotions. Love Knox. Always fun seeing Keatyn and Aiden. Fun.

I thought I'd like these quick reads, and I understand what the author was going fir, but I feel like it's not quite working out. I was interested in the relationship the blurb referenced, but the story has too many characters pov's. I find myself quickly losing interest. The first two books were free and I felt hooked. But then I paid .99 for the 3rd and was bored. Not sure I am willing to pay 1.99 for the fourth.

Series Review - spoiler free
I am not a fan of serials, but I really enjoyed this one! I was a little skeptical at first, but it didn’t take long to hook me. It’s set up like a television series (season 1 has 6 episodes). It tells the story of many of the characters we met and fell in love with in the Keatyn Chronicles, but season 1 mainly centers around Riley. I loved him in the Keatyn Chronicles, but I really love him now that he’s of age lol.
All of the characters in the story added new depth and layers. It really kept it fun and interesting, and full of the drama we expect when we think of Keatyn & company.
I read all the episodes together, but I can imagine the anticipation was pretty exciting to those who read them as they were released.
They were fun, and what started as, “I will just read one or two episodes and go to bed” ended a couple hours later with season 1 completed.
As with tv series, Jillian has stated this serial will get new seasons based on sales. Please buy this! I NEED A SEASON 2! With that said, she doesn’t leave us with any major cliffhangers or anything… just desperately wanting to live in this world a little longer.
*For those who haven’t read the Keatyn Chronicles, there are slight spoilers in this series because you will know who ended up together (not that I ever questioned it when reading the series). I’m speaking with a biased point of view b/c I have read the Keatyn Chronicles, but I think you can enjoy these without reading the previous series. Summary of Series 1...
I was unsure about this spin-off but after having loved the Keatyn Chronicles I suppose it was inevitable that the pull of my curiosity would win out as I needed to know what happened to this lovable gang once they'd grown up. I certainly wasn't disappointed and once I'd read episode 1, series 1 I was hooked and read the rest non-stop. Not only do we get more from Keatyn, Aiden and Riley but THANK YOU VERY MUCH Dawson is back, and oh so sweet. Now I just need to have Cam make an appearance and I will be one happy bunny!
This series is like coming home from a long holiday. It welcomes you back to the comfort that you know and love. There isn't any angst, it's just a simply and enjoyable read and one that is totally recommended.

These books were unlike anything I had encountered previously... they are set out like a tv series with seasons and episodes which was strange but really good.
I haven't read the Keatyn Chronicles so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to and hadn't met the characters before.
I love that you get POV's from each of the characters and each character has their own thing going on so your getting many stories instead of just one.
I am absolutely addicted to these books... I read them one after the other and could have cried when I realised I had read them all and needed to wait for more.
The characters I love most - Riley and Ariela... They're story is definitely my favourite

Dawson Johnson has returned!
Episode 3 picks up with Riley and Ariela left us and though frustrated with Riley and his decision, I felt hurt and disappointed with his way of dealing with things. Yes he was hurt by Ariela but I just want those two together and hope they get their stuff figured out before its to late!
I love this episode and getting updates from other characters and I was so glad to see the return of Dawson! I can't get enough of these episode and I want to know more about what he's been up to since the ending of Get Me.

Julian Dodd is the only writer I know who can be in the moment, it is here, it's now and it's in person. She writes from every single characters pow and it's not just good, it's real, its believable and honest. It's like being there, being them! So if you're searching for a captivating author, great stories and characters to live through- Captive Films and the Keathyn chronicles are the ones for you!

This was a great ending to season one. I love how Jillian Dodd writes from everyones point of view. She has made this series a great series to read. I loved reading what happened between all of the great couples. I cant wait to read what happens between everyone and I cant wait to read Keatyn and Aidens wedding.

I got an early copy because well Jillian is awesome. :) Geez, now I have to wait two weeks for the next one but it was so worth it!! I may be in love with Riley. And Dawson, oh Dawson. It was good seeing you again! Until next time.

I really didn't like how Dawson turned out and who he got with and who he married. New characters to the story would have been better instead of pairing original people from the KC books together. This is a repeat of the KC. Would be better if the characters had their own books instead.

Riley on the go
Riley needs to get over the past. New faces brought into the mix. I think Dawson just met his match but he isn't moving in on her like he would have. I believe he grew up. Can't wait to read the next episode.
