Jillian is killing me…every week I finish this and I just want more!
This installment begins with Riley still hanging out with Jennifer. I know this isn’t rationale, but I am not a fan of this plot line. I want him to be irrationally pining after Ariela. So yeah…about that, Ariela still has a long way to come and grow, but I love the bonds she is rebuilding with the girls.
What I am a fan of…Dawson and Vanessa! I love where things are going with these two. We are gradually learning about these two and I just want them to both get an epic HEA. We are still in the dark about so much, but I am glad we did get to learn a little about Whitney. I know Jillian has so much more in stock for us with these two, but to me Vanessa and Dawson stole the show.
I can’t wait to see where things go next. I highly recommend starting this series. It is set up like a television series and I just like your favorite show you are dying for the next week’s episode.

This is my favorite installment of Captive Films so far! Steamy, emotional and fun- I just love this serial!
What surprised the crap out of me is how much I am LOVING Dawson and Vanessa! These were not two favorites of mine in the original KC books, but I am dying to see where their story goes!
I’m so happy we got more insight into Dawson’s past. I need to know more though. There are also some Riley issues I want resolved... I’ll just let you guys know what I need to happen: 1- Knox to take Jennifer away from Riley so he can be with Ariela. 2- Dawson and Vanessa to really get together. And 3- Aiden and Keatyn to continue towards their ultimate HEA <3 That would make me a very happy girl!

OMG... what the hell is the story with Dawson. All these little bits, I will need the whole story of him and Whitney please. It breaks my heart to say this, but Riley... your kinda pissin me off. He was always the got for it type and now he's running away, searching for a situation that makes him feel like he did back in the day. I'm just not liking this side of him.

In this episode we learn some harsh truths and deal with some very sexy realities. Sparks continue to fly between Dawson and Vanessa. Dodd focuses in on their budding romance as vulnerabilities surface from past hurts. To us it seems that these two are the perfect match but will they both realize it and find love again.
A quick read and a good read! Riley is his usual sexy yet frustrating self. I’m not feeling him and Jennifer together. AT ALL. She’s cute and I like her character just not with Riley. I need Riley to find his way back to Ariela they deserve love. Once again Jillian Dodd does not disappoint. Dawson Lovers UNITE!

At the end of Episode # 1.3, we read as Dawson returned home with his two girls in tow and learned that his wife died or as he calls it "left him." Having Dawson back meant that the Captive Film readers would watch a new love story unfold between Dawson and the recently divorced Vanessa. Ariela may have missed her chance with Riley and needs to step up her game if she wants to win him back as we have a newcomer to the Captive Films game - Jennifer, who is currently employed to have the main lead in a new Captive Films movie. Rumours have it that Jennifer and Riley are sleeping together, having fun and he even let her drive his car and was pretty protective of her when she did a chemistry screen test with Knox Daniels who will be her fellow cast member. For more drama and romance and love triangles, stay tuned for Episode #1.5 of Captive Films.

Dawson steals the show in the episode again and I couldn't have asked for more......
We find out that Riley's feelings Ariela aren't going away, despite him hanging out with Jennifer!! I am not a huge fan of Jennifer, but she sure reminds me of a younger Keatyn......and it will be interesting to see where this leads.
Back to the real show and the heartbreak that surrounds the mysteries of Dawson. I was never a Whitney fan and after that TRUTH I am even more unhappy with her!! The lunch date with Vanessa was really hot and I so want good things for these two. They both had rocky pasts and to see them finally find something special was a treat. Back to that connect -> MOLTEN LAVA KISSES are even hotter now that Dawson is older and his desk -> OMG!!
Let me just leave you with an image of the fur jacket Vanessa wears over to Dawson's beach house......

OMG I LOVED this :)
I just wanted to crawl into my book and give Dawson a big cuddle. He has had a terrible time these past few years and I just him to get some love & happiness back into his life. Seems to be heading in right direction though and I cannot wait for more of his storyline, the hotter the better!
Not sure how I feel about Riley and Jennifer, I want him and Ariela together but maybe he needs to be with Jennifer to figure out what he wants.

Series Review - spoiler free
I am not a fan of serials, but I really enjoyed this one! I was a little skeptical at first, but it didn’t take long to hook me. It’s set up like a television series (season 1 has 6 episodes). It tells the story of many of the characters we met and fell in love with in the Keatyn Chronicles, but season 1 mainly centers around Riley. I loved him in the Keatyn Chronicles, but I really love him now that he’s of age lol.
All of the characters in the story added new depth and layers. It really kept it fun and interesting, and full of the drama we expect when we think of Keatyn & company.
I read all the episodes together, but I can imagine the anticipation was pretty exciting to those who read them as they were released.
They were fun, and what started as, “I will just read one or two episodes and go to bed” ended a couple hours later with season 1 completed.
As with tv series, Jillian has stated this serial will get new seasons based on sales. Please buy this! I NEED A SEASON 2! With that said, she doesn’t leave us with any major cliffhangers or anything… just desperately wanting to live in this world a little longer.
*For those who haven’t read the Keatyn Chronicles, there are slight spoilers in this series because you will know who ended up together (not that I ever questioned it when reading the series). I’m speaking with a biased point of view b/c I have read the Keatyn Chronicles, but I think you can enjoy these without reading the previous series. Summary of Series 1...
I was unsure about this spin-off but after having loved the Keatyn Chronicles I suppose it was inevitable that the pull of my curiosity would win out as I needed to know what happened to this lovable gang once they'd grown up. I certainly wasn't disappointed and once I'd read episode 1, series 1 I was hooked and read the rest non-stop. Not only do we get more from Keatyn, Aiden and Riley but THANK YOU VERY MUCH Dawson is back, and oh so sweet. Now I just need to have Cam make an appearance and I will be one happy bunny!
This series is like coming home from a long holiday. It welcomes you back to the comfort that you know and love. There isn't any angst, it's just a simply and enjoyable read and one that is totally recommended.

These books were unlike anything I had encountered previously... they are set out like a tv series with seasons and episodes which was strange but really good.
I haven't read the Keatyn Chronicles so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to and hadn't met the characters before.
I love that you get POV's from each of the characters and each character has their own thing going on so your getting many stories instead of just one.
I am absolutely addicted to these books... I read them one after the other and could have cried when I realised I had read them all and needed to wait for more.
The characters I love most - Riley and Ariela... They're story is definitely my favourite

So freaking good!! I don't want this series to end!! Loved this one so much. I laughed and swooned!! OMG Dawson! You have a BIG reveal in this one. I just cannot get enough when the guys get together it's hilarious, Vanessa and Dawson are smokin hot yet so vulnerable together, Ariela is so sweet and a little broken, Keatyn is always the perfect friend, Riley and Knox are just awesome, and reluctantly you will start to like Jennifer. Cannot wait for next Tuesday!!!

This is another great continuation of this series. As much as Jennifer may be good for Riley, I want him and Ariela to be together. I also love Vanessa and Dawson together and want them to have a happily ever after that rivals Aiden and Keatyn. I cant wait to read the next installment.

Jaw dropping info in this episode. Steamy,steamy scenes that I'm shocked Jillian wrote. But they're awesome scenes. I also can't believe that I actually really like Vanessa now.
