And once again ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the DAWSON JOHNSON SHOW. Yes. It’s true. Dawson has stolen the story for me once again. I don’t know what it is about him, I never liked him this much when he was younger but he is quickly becoming a favorite of mine now. The more I know, the more I love. And as much as it shocks me to say it, I’m really digging him and Vanessa together. It’s amazing some of the things they have in common.
The whole Riley/Ariella/Jennifer saga is still going on... I can’t wait to see how that unfolds in the final 1.6 episode.
One thing I loved about 1.5 is that I feel like it focused more on Keatyn and Aiden than some of the others. I’ve always loved this couple so hard, I love hearing more about them!
I just know the final installment will be epic and I can’t wait to see how the season ends!

I had a rough time today were 4 of the books I tried to read were DNFs and I was desperate for something to read with my cup of tea, so when all else fails I go back to an oldie I have had on my kindle for ages as they tend to hit that spot and so I came across Book #5 in the Season one of the Captive Films series by Jillian Dodd. I had last read this series back in January 2018 however as I started reading, I was reunited back with my favorite characters and thrust back into their world and it was like I had never left. In Episode #5 - Dawson and Vanessa's relationship has been progressing well but what will happen when Vanessa learns that Dawson had two daughters to Whitney who he hasn't mentioned to her, Keatyn and Aiden have some good news as she is currently pregnant, as those who remember at the end of Book #4 Ariella decided to leave her husband and reunite with Riley - the love who got away. Well, they are about to come face to face but will it be a happy reunion as Riley is seeming happy with Jennifer at the moment. Who knows Ariella might end up with Knox Daniels - that could be interesting and then they would all be paired up? With Motherhood on the way, is Keatyn ready to step away from action movies when Knox presents her with a script he has been working on and Captive Films are eyeing it up? Find out in this wonderful installment of Captive Films and one of those new adult romance reads that just hits the spot when you need it to. I have to make sure next time I don't leave it too long before reading the rest of the series. I will finish it eventually, I promise. Famous words from bookworms all over the world.

Series Review - spoiler free
I am not a fan of serials, but I really enjoyed this one! I was a little skeptical at first, but it didn’t take long to hook me. It’s set up like a television series (season 1 has 6 episodes). It tells the story of many of the characters we met and fell in love with in the Keatyn Chronicles, but season 1 mainly centers around Riley. I loved him in the Keatyn Chronicles, but I really love him now that he’s of age lol.
All of the characters in the story added new depth and layers. It really kept it fun and interesting, and full of the drama we expect when we think of Keatyn & company.
I read all the episodes together, but I can imagine the anticipation was pretty exciting to those who read them as they were released.
They were fun, and what started as, “I will just read one or two episodes and go to bed” ended a couple hours later with season 1 completed.
As with tv series, Jillian has stated this serial will get new seasons based on sales. Please buy this! I NEED A SEASON 2! With that said, she doesn’t leave us with any major cliffhangers or anything… just desperately wanting to live in this world a little longer.
*For those who haven’t read the Keatyn Chronicles, there are slight spoilers in this series because you will know who ended up together (not that I ever questioned it when reading the series). I’m speaking with a biased point of view b/c I have read the Keatyn Chronicles, but I think you can enjoy these without reading the previous series. When a character was introduced we were given a little background of who they were. *

Loved this one. Aiden is so sweet and thoughtful to Keatyn. Totally adore them together!! Cannot get enough of her grandparents....so cute!! Loving Dawon. OMG. He's turned into quite the amazing man and father! I am enjoying him with Vanessa. You can feel their chemistry and the bond they're forming. Knox is always hilarious. Hate seeing Riley with Jennifer. I feel for Ariela, but I like how Keatyn tells her like it is....she made her choices. Hopefully she can redeem herself. Looking forward to the next one!!

Ok seriously I can't get enough of the gang of crew members!!
The story line picks up with Dawson and Vanessa on their epic journey for big love and what better than a "Genie in a bottle" connection. Their three wishes are what makes these characters so great and leaves you wanting more and more. I am so in love with this older and mature version of Dawson!! The way he is around Vanessa is so Prince Charming and then seeing him with his daughters is the biggest treat. I love that the entire gang comes into the picture each and every installment and that they are truly the glue that holds everyone together.
Wait you can't forget about "THE EPIC" love story that is Keats and Aiden. I can't wait to get a chance to see their wedding and even more meet their child. Seriously the man is amazing......a Ferris wheel, pink cotton candy and feathers!!
I want so much for Riley to finally move past all his cocky attitude and just admit what he feels............

Summary of Series 1...
I was unsure about this spin-off but after having loved the Keatyn Chronicles I suppose it was inevitable that the pull of my curiosity would win out as I needed to know what happened to this lovable gang once they'd grown up. I certainly wasn't disappointed and once I'd read episode 1, series 1 I was hooked and read the rest non-stop. Not only do we get more from Keatyn, Aiden and Riley but THANK YOU VERY MUCH Dawson is back, and oh so sweet. Now I just need to have Cam make an appearance and I will be one happy bunny!
This series is like coming home from a long holiday. It welcomes you back to the comfort that you know and love. There isn't any angst, it's just a simply and enjoyable read and one that is totally recommended.

These books were unlike anything I had encountered previously... they are set out like a tv series with seasons and episodes which was strange but really good.
I haven't read the Keatyn Chronicles so I wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to and hadn't met the characters before.
I love that you get POV's from each of the characters and each character has their own thing going on so your getting many stories instead of just one.
I am absolutely addicted to these books... I read them one after the other and could have cried when I realised I had read them all and needed to wait for more.
The characters I love most - Riley and Ariela... They're story is definitely my favourite

I am finally finishing up this little novella serial. We are approaching Keatyen and Aidens wedding, getting more in depth with the various relationships. Still feels like an episode of Melrose Place.

Loving this episode! Dawson and Vanessa are perfect. Gramps and Grams are awesome! Well all the characters are great!! It's so much fun seeing them all together! Can't wait for episode 6!!
