Maeve Greyson is a USA TODAY bestselling author, Amazon Top 100 bestseller, Amazon All Star, multiple RONE Award winner, and a multiple HOLT Medallion Finalist.

Her mantra is this: No one has the power to shatter your dreams unless you give it to them.

She and her husband of over forty-five years traveled around the world while in the U.S. Air Force. Now they're settled in rural Kentucky where Maeve writes about her courageous heroes and the fearless women who tame them. Sometimes her stories are historical romances, time travel romances, or escapist romantasies, but the one thing they always have in common is a satisfying happily ever after. When she’s not plotting the perfect snare, she can be found herding cats, grandchildren, and her husband—not necessarily in that order.

A Fine Scottish Spell
Magical Matchmakers of Seven Cairns #2
Maeve Greyson
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Emily never meant to time travel again. But when your spells are misfired, you never know what can happen. Her life does not feel whole anymore so when she tries to cast a simple spell everything seems to go wrong all at once and she ends up in an alternate 18th-century Scotland where magic is a way of life, myths walk the land, and the country she thought she knew has become the ruling power of a very different, yet not so different world.

Gryffe MacStrath is the fierce Chieftain of Clan MacStrath and Grand Chieftain of the Defenders of the Veil. One look at Emily after she appears in front of his horse tells him all he needs to know. She is his fated mate. He may know nothing of her world, but Gryffe is everything she didn't know she needed.

In a world where fate rules and danger lurks behind beauty, Emily and Gryffe must fight the unknown for a love that will defy the bonds of time.

Wow, this book was incredible. Maeve Greyson has outdone herself. This book has all the feels. I devoured it like a starving wolf that hasn't eaten in years. This book is literary perfection. I was on the edge of my seat because I never really knew what was going to happen next and every time I thought I had it figured out, I was happy to find out that I was wrong. I have to say that Gryffe and Emily were perfect together. If you are a fan of time travel and fantasy then look no further this is the book for you. Ms. Greyson you have outdone yourself this time.

Contain spoilers.

At first , this seemed to be better than book one. Until it got close to the end. Since they had already established that Emily got her abilities from being the great-great granddaughter of a specific person, and having Weaver blood and Then the author turns around at the very end Saying that she was actually adopted. And there seemed to be absolutely no explanation for this change of story , nor any particular reason it would need to apply. Because now the story becomes , where did she get her own magic ability , and how is it that she still seems to be descended from the particular bloodline associated with the goddesses. It makes no sense , and it seems to be bad writing.

Great read!

I loved the magic of it, though a little less English on the heroine part would have been better. I hate it when books dwell too long on such ridiculous emotions

I enjoyed this story more than book 1, but I feel this is not a standalone story. So much happens, especially in the telling of the fantasy world, I feel you'd be lost.

If you're not a fan of time travel and fantasy stories, this isn't for you. I loved this story and the imagination of the author.

When our h entered the Dream World, I was a little lost, but things became clearer afterwords. This story is filled with many twists and surprises; it was hard to put down.

Great main and secondary characters too to round out this unique story. No cheating, no cliffhanger, ended about 91% on my e-reader, and a few swear words. Lovemaking within marriage, bedroom door 1/2 opened.

I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. (ljb)

Excellent story writing. Loved all the realms that came together.

I've read a lot of books about magical romances in Ireland and Scotland. This is one of the best. It doesn't drag along. The fated mates join together across many realms to enjoy a beautiful relationship. The lead male is every woman's dream, kind, romantic and sexy! The bedroom scenes are hot! Can't put the book down! Definitely for adult reading.

I’m rating this one slightly higher than the first in the series because it isn’t as confusing. The reason being, the story continues on and most characters remain the same. However, this fated mate thing seems to work incredibly fast. Too fast. At least the FMC tried to resist it all for longer. After all, who would be ok with being dumped into 1786 and left there. She did have her cell phone though. Obviously that was useless.

Must read!!

I've just finished binge reading the first two books! I really had a hard time putting it down. It was quite the adventure.
The characters are very likable. They were funny and endearing. There's even a few surprises you don't see coming. I am eagerly waiting for the 3rd book to be released. In the meantime, I'll be looking at other books from this author.

excellent read

I couldn’t put it down. It was full of mystery, intrigue and a bit of romance. At the heart of it is Friendship. The intrigue of centuries of Scottish history and ore combined with beings of other realms….cant truly be discussed…it just needs to be read and enjoyed!
