Corrected by the Colonel

Rate this book
Miss Cassandra Sheridan is desperate to get married. Not because she is deeply in love, but because her family is deeply in debt. She leaves behind her two younger sisters to care for their ailing father while she heads out to do the only thing she can to secure the future for herself and her family--marry a rich man.

She sets her sights on Lord Owen Tyndall, titled, rich and gullible. Just when Cassandra is sure a proposal is imminent, Lord Tyndall's cousin, the annoying and attractive Colonel Blaise Sinclair, arrives.

The Colonel is not nearly so easily fooled as his cousin and he is determined to find out the real story behind Miss Cassandra Sheridan's presence at Hadley Hall. If he must employ over the knee discipline to ferret out her plans, then so much the better.

I enjoyed this book. Third person POV, which is not the norm these days, but is a nice change when done well, and I believe Celeste Jones writes it well. A little smutty, a little romantic, it's a nice, feel-good story about nice people, Cassandra and Blaise, trying to do right by their families, but are overtaken by desire for each other.

Really enjoyed this little romp. Loved the Colonel and his hapless love Cassandra, who set her sights on the wrong man - the said colonel's cousin Owen, but Colonel Blaise steered her right.

I love Celeste Jones's books and I'm adding this one to my favorite list. This delightful book takes place in the Regency Period. Cassandra sets her mind to marry Lord Owen because he is rich and she and her family are in desperate shape. Her father is ill, two younger sisters and no money. The story line is like a British farce. It has many laugh out loud moments and yet you feel so sad for Cassandra. Colonel Blaise shows up and then the real fun begins. This has romance, spanking and panty melting erotic sex. My only complaint is I didn't want the book to end and wanted more. I'm looking forward to miss Jones's next book.
