At 40 I'm finding that the makeup styles I perfected in my 20s no longer work for me. To look for an updated look I tried a makeover at a department store cosmetics counter (asking for a modern natural look for work) and walked out with blue eyeliner and red lipstick - I kid you not! And so my purchase of this book. Lots of elegant looks with instructions. Who knew how important eyebrow shape was?

So far I love everything about this book. It regards aging as a beautiful thing -- and because aging is inescapable, I think it's nice to have a book-friend that will help you go through it with grace and eloquence.

A nice basic start-up book with descriptions of what everything does and why you need it. A slant toward older women who may not have worn make-up when they were younger. As someone who wears glasses, I also appreciated the extra tips for those of us with framed eyes.

Picked up some great tricks while reading this pretty book. This book would be good for women over 30 as it is aimed at mature readers.

I don't wear a lot of makeup and like to spend as little time getting ready as possible so I can't wait to implement some of the tips, saving time and money in the process.
