Once you’ve barely escaped death, can life ever be the same?
On a train journey, an American writer meets Yogesh, a yoga teacher with a story to tell. It’s about Krish, Tony, and Asif — three friends who survived a plane hijack on their trip to Goa. Krish, a driven entrepreneur; Tony, an alcoholic dropout; and Asif, a carefree music lover, get a newfound gratitude after the incident.
The friends decide to find purpose and seek their most authentic selves. From the ghats of Varanasi to the mountains of Tibet to the deserts of Afghanistan, they experience life-altering revelations.
But as the story nears the end, the writer wonders — how are these lives connected to Yogesh?
The book is about three friends Krish, Tony and Asif whose lives change completely after they face death and their story is narrated by yoga teacher Yogesh to American author John.
Yogesh uses the story of three friends to explain the three most essential elements of our lives – desires, search for truth and finding the love of your life. He explains that a balance of all the components is important to create an ideal life and if one or all the components become more important to us then it may create problems for us and make us regret.
The author has written an interesting and enlightening book and he has used both fiction and non-fiction aspects in writing this book.
This is the second book of the author that I have read and I can say that his writing is impressive.
The language is simple but has some errors.
The cover page is excellent and the title of the book is also apt.
