He wants so much more than just her music…

Bad boy rocker Sky is hiding out in Baltimore, seeking solitude while he struggles with a career decision. Lead singer of the popular rock group The Universe, he’s thinking of going it alone. Wandering into an Irish pub, he’s ecstatic to discover the breakout single for his solo album—but the songwriter doesn’t want to sell. One musical challenge later, not only does he win the song, but also a writing partner to complete the rest of the album.

Teagan has never aspired to fame and fortune. She’s content taking care of family, friends and neighbors, and singing in her family’s pub. Working on an album with Sky tests her patience…and her libido. The hot rocker plays her body like a fine instrument, their desire deepening with each song they write.

But someone doesn’t want Sky to go solo, and is repeatedly trying to sabotage the couple’s efforts. Undaunted, Sky wants Teagan to join him onstage at his farewell concert to sing her original, Maybe Tomorrow.

If they make it through today.

Review to come.
Just a brief update to let everyone know I'm safe but the wildfires in British Columbia still are burning fierce and thousands of people are evacuated from their homes. My dad is still out of his house and unfortunately last week he had two seizures where he was unresponsive with an hour of each other. I had to call an ambulance and he's been in hospital ever since. They are trying to find out what is wrong. Needless to say I haven't been able to read much; nor catch up with all of you.
I miss you all and I miss my books. Please know you are all in my thoughts and I will hopefully be back more regularly soon. Love, hugs, and prayers to you all. <3

Excellent! A complete story in a sweet little package. Opposites attract when the rocker, Sky, meets the folk-singer, Teagan, but they are so perfect together. Fantastic funny dialogue, a sweet passionate romance, a delightful Irish family, and even a tiny bit of suspense, all in this charming novella. One more sister and four brothers to go, what a way to countdown the week! I'm waiting on Wednesday.

Just a side-note, the first book had more of a BDSM theme, whereas this one had one scene with light spanking and bondage, just some playing, nothing too serious.

It has been a while since I've read the previous book in this series but it didn't actually take me long to remember who was who either. It was nice getting to know Teagan and remember that she liked to write songs and occasionally sing them. I also think it's kind of fun that it's a family owned bar just because these kids are probably never bored or living a dull moment.

Things seem to move pretty fast between Teagan and Sky. Also there was a ton of drama that I ate up because it was just so good. The villains were pretty obvious in this one but that's what made this book fun for me.

In the end, it was predictable but the romance was good. Definitely wanted a bit more tension than I got but it was still good. I might even jump into book 3 whenever I cross paths with it.

Ruby Tuesday (Wild Irish #2) by Mari Carr is an Adult Erotic Contemporary Romance, with a dash of Mystery.

It is very well written and flows smoothly.

Both Teagan (Ruby) and Sky (Mitch) are great characters. I found their story interesting and the love scenes were very steamy and very different. However, I think more intensity should have been put in their interactions to each other.

The other characters involved in the story didn't really seem to exist. This took away from the 'Mystery' portion of the story. More depth of these characters was needed to make it more intriguing and emotional.

The answer to the mystery seemed rushed and lacked any real excitement or satisfaction for me. It's hard to feel a threat if you don't have more substantial build up.
A good story, but needed more complexity to hit 5 stars.

CW: Erotica

Ruby Tuesday is the second installment in Wild Irish series and it feautred Teagan Collins, an aspiring songwriter and Sky Mitchell, a rock star.

I was super stoked by the start because I loooove the cute bickering scenes and transformation from enemies to lovers but once the clothes swapping happened, this switched to fast gear lmao.

Things seemed to just....sort of happen way too fast and before I knew it, they were both devouring each other...and I went...did I miss something here?

But it was a fun fast read and I enjoyed parts of it.

This was ok. It felt really rushed and I don’t think it had a lot of depth to it. I knew the Teagan and her family better than I knew sky/Mitch so I just felt disconnected with the hero especially. It was short and maybe that’s the reason that I just didn’t connect with them, but there wasn’t anything overly exciting about this book. Because everything felt rushed I really didn’t feel the chemistry between the characters.

I loved how the author paired a rock star and a folk singer for this 2nd installment to the Wild Irish series. And I enjoyed it as much as the first, but for different reasons. The first book in the series has a BDSM tone with a very intense Alpha Hero. However, the hero in this book being a rock star who does not fit the typical mold intrigued me. He's not into drugs or alcohol, and realizes after spending time with Teagan that he wants a real relationship instead of bouncing from bed to bed. Sky, the hero of the book won my heart over within the first few chapters of the book. He's kind, caring, driven, loyal, good-looking and sexy. Who wouldn't fall for a guy like this? Well, the heroine, Teagan for one. When Sky first comes into the family owned pub to hide from the paparazzi, she doesn't even know who he is. She's more of a free spirit, hippie-type than a pop queen, so of course they clash. Upon hearing her sing an original song she’s been working on, he offers to buy it for his solo album and she refuses, not wanting her song anywhere near the top-40. He also refuses to take no for an answer and challenges her to a singing contest. He wins and she must help him write the songs for his album. After the contest, she develops a little more respect for him and it doesn’t take long for the sparks to fly. Only thing is, she’s a virgin and she’s only willing to give up her virginity to someone she loves and loves her back.

I gave this book 4 stars because of Sky’s personality. I’m a sucker for a nice guy. Call me weak. One minute I was laughing, the next I was wiping tears. The two things I didn’t like about the book is 1) the length of book. It’s a short read and I was enjoying it so much, I wanted more, and 2) Teagan’s character in the 1st book was STRONG and out-spoken, but she seemed much more tame in this book. I missed her fast, sharp wit. But, Riley, one of the other girls in the family picked up the slack. She is a handful, and I’m looking forward to reading her story. I will continue with the series and stand by my recommendation to anyone who enjoys a light, fun, sexy read.

This was a good read. This was better than the first book in my opinion. It was a quick and romantic. I thought the story was good, but I thought it could be better. I think the real issue I had with this book is the heroine. She was okay. I did not love her, nor did I dislike her. She was just really hard to identify with. It is not the type of heroine that I usually like. The writing style was not that good. The dialogue was over the top at times. It was boring at times, but I did enjoy the story. I do really Teagan Collins. I think each Collins will have a different story about love. This is going to be an interesting series. I can't wait to what the rest of the series has in store. The ending was good. Overall, an okay read.

Well, that one worked for me! I really liked Teagan and Sky, their romance was both sweet and hot. I loved that they both respected each other and they didn't push each other into things the other didn't want. This was a quick read, but it didn't feel that way. It was nice that time elapsed and the relationship didn't develop literally over night.

This is Sky and Teagan's storey. I have to say I don't like their names, and I kept getting mixed up on who was the male when they were talking.

Controlling virgin meets oversexed Rock Star.

BTW Sky is the man. :p

I enjoyed this one, quick read. Good characters.

I liked teagan and sky. They were a good couple. Light on drama. I can’t stand romance books that are full of drama. They drive me nuts and ruin the actual romance. Teagan is a songwriter and Sky is in a band, match made in heaven...Almost a typical virgin girl meets bad boy player. Not quite as extreme as others. It wasn’t a bad book. It was enjoyable.

I just have to say how much I love Teagan and her spirit, old roots, etc. I am a hippie at heart and a folk music fanatic, so instantly I connected with her. Now, that's not to say I think she was dumb at times.

To be honest, I have no idea why people can't say no and actually mean it. Then you have the guys pressuring, tricking their minds, pushing a little bit further closer to the boundary. It's not fair. She says no and you should respect that, not push her no into a yes.

Sky really upset me a couple of times, but then Teagan did too with her inability to stick to her decision.

Sky Mitchell is the lead singer for the band The Universe. He needs some R&R and gets it in Baltimore. He has some major decisions he needs to focus on and he can't do that with his band members and manager poking around. He walks into a pub/restaurant and hears Teagan's sweet folk voice, but more importantly her lyrics.

He wants to buy her song and she flat out says "it's not for sale" and definitely does not give into his charm.

When you're in very small living quarters things can change and you can finally get to know someone.

I thought the ending just happened. I kind of wanted more.

Overall, I loved Teagan and her gypsy ways. I thought Sky was kind of a douche though.

Teagan Collins is happy just writing and singing her folk songs in her family's bar. She teaches music to children and volunteers with the elderly. Sky Mitchell is the lead singer of popular rock group The Universe and has come to Baltimore and is hiding out in the Collins bar to take time to start writing his own songs and start a solo career. After Teagan loses a bet to Sky she agrees to help him write all his new songs for his solo album. Since the paparazzi have found him, Teagan's family suggest he just stay with them so he and Teagan can start working on the songs. Sky is attracted to Teagan but only deals in short time affairs. Teagan is a virgin and does not deal in short time affairs. But their attraction is so strong they agree to do everything but the actual deed. As time goes on they both fight wanting more from the other. After the paparazzi get worse outside the club Teagan and Sky slip away to one of her sister friends cabin so they can continue to write. It is here they give in to there feelings but they also realize someone doesnt want Sky to quite the band. This one wasnt as hot as the first one but you couldnt help loving Teagan and Sky and watching there romance unfold.

A plot replaced by sex

The story had premise but it fell flat when the author essentially made it seem like Teagan and Sky were two insatiable teenagers. It was short story that I had no interest in finishing.

I purchased Wild Irish Series books 1-4 by Mari Carr and this review was given freely.
With titles centering around the days of the week and beginning with Monday, { Sunday was the mother who passed away} each book features one of the fun loving, close knit, protective and at times boisterous Irish American Pub-Restaurant owning Collins family members. The series feature the seven siblings from oldest to youngest and contains some wonderful family excerpts, a little suspense, a fair amount of steamy scenes, bondage, spanking, and menage. A lot of the storyline centers around the Collins apartment or business but it also branches out to include diverse themes such as student-professor, rock star, ex-military, virgin, crazy ex-husband, friends to lovers and more.

Come Monday by Mari Carr
Beginning college at 28 after helping to raise her siblings, Keira is attracted to one of her professors, Wallace. Keira struggles with giving away control and make a life for herself not completely centered around her siblings and father in this first edition which contains an introduction to BDSM.

Ruby Tuesday by Mari Carr
The second eldest sister and redhead dreamer, folk singer, and pub waitress Teagan becomes embroiled in rock star Sky's plot of becoming a solo artist gone bad. Contains some suspense and some steam scenes with light bondage/spanking.

Waiting for Wednesday by Mari Carr
This book features the bartending first of the Collins twin boys, Tristan and the married nurse Lane he fell in love with during her routine Wednesday visits to the pub. Some steamy encounters, an alpha male, the return of the crazy ex, and Tristan's father having a stroke are combined in a interesting and at times intense story.

Sweet Thursday by Mari Carr
In this sequel, the second Collins family twin and retired soldier Killian along with his best friend Justin have taken over Justin's family's construction business. Reuniting at their 10 year highschool reunion with the third part of their high cliche Lilly results in the fulfilment of unrequited love but the three struggle with the thought of menage as a permanent relationship.

In the second book in the Wild Irish series, Teagan Collins is the singer and songwriter of the family, and she loves performing at her family-owned pub. Though she knows a world famous rock star is in the house, she doesn’t listen to his music and performs her set without a care. That is, until said rock star offers to buy her latest song and challenges her to a contest.
Sky Mitchell has lived and breathed music for years with his band The Universe, but wants to break out into a solo career. He’s hiding out in Baltimore to write songs for his new album and goes to a pub in order to relax. There he meets Teagan. She fascinates him, and he wants to record her song as much as he wants her in his bed.
Teagan and Sky are fun characters. He’s used to screaming, adoring fans, but she treats him like a normal person. He loves it! They share a love for music and start writing songs together, and soon their casual sexual relationship turns into so much more.
The Collins siblings play a bigger role is this story than they did in book one, and it was great seeing them and Pop again.
I really wish there would’ve been an epilogue to show Sky and Teagan’s future in the music business. Without it, there are some unanswered questions, but I can imagine what will happen next.
I really enjoyed this story and will look for others in the series.

Short but oh so good

Teagan is a singer and songwriter but she just performs in her family’s pub, the nursing home, and teaches music to preschoolers. Sky is the lead singer of a band. He is hiding out in Baltimore to write songs for his upcoming solo album. He hears Teagan singing a song she wrote and offers to buy it from her. She refuses to sell and he places a bet, they will have a singing competition and if Sky loses he donates the money he makes at the concert in town to the nursing home. If Sky wins he gets Teagan’s song and she helps him write some songs.
When the paparazzi finds him, the Collins family sneaks him and Teagan out where they go to a friend’s cabin for a couple of weeks. But someone has found them and destroyed Teagan’s guitar from her mother. They set a trap to find out who’s trying to stop him from leaving the group.
Rockstar and a hippie dressing woman. The voice of an angel and the body to go with it. Funny. Very sexual. And a big Irish family. A rocker who realizes there’s more to life than casual sex and rock n roll.

Sky Mitchell meets a buddy at a restaurant in a disguise to hide from paparazzi while he takes a much-needed vacation. While he drinks a beer in and tries to write, he comes across Teagan. She plays a song that strikes him and he wants to buy the song. As he approaches her, he finds that her song isn't the only appealing thing about the woman.

Teagan works at her family restaurant and is a kind soul. She sings because it makes her happy, teaches the kids, and visits her neighbors to encourage and make them happy. When Sky offers her a chance to sell her son, she denies him. Which only intrigues him more. She fights it until he challenges her to a contest and she loses.

The more they spend time together, the more the chemistry sizzles. They find what the other needs and both have no qualms about acting on it. Until unlikely and rather disharmonious events thrust them in a tense situation. That event only solidifies their feelings for each other. A sexy and fun read.

Tuesday's Child is Full of Grace... Tegan and Sky

This is the story of 26 year old Tegan Collins and how she ran into Sky Mitchell the lead singer for the Universe and her life is changed forever. Tegan is Keira Collins younger. She has been graced with the gift of singing, in fact her name means poet. They say she got her gift from her mother. Her tells the story as her mother whose name was Sunday was singing in a pub in Ireland when he met her. Tegan has To Ruby red hair in fact her Da calls her Ruby. She also has bright green 💚 eyes 👀. Her face is full of freckles. Sky Mitchell aka Mitch Adams his given name is at there Pub because he's getting ready to go solo and then he got caught by the paparazzi. So he hears Tegan sing and the song she sings he wants to buy for his solo album. This is the start of the story of Tegan and Sky. It's really a great story and it has a twist that you will have to read. This is a good read, and next we have Tristan's story.

Terrific story!!

Teagan Collins dreams of someday singing for a living. She’s a songwriter who sings at her family’s Irish Pub and only dreams of singing her songs for others.

Sky Mitchell is in a popular band called “Universe”, more a heavy metal type band but Sky needs a break. He shows up at a local small Irish Pub and listening to Teagan sing has had his writing block disappear and his artistic side kick in. He’s a little shocked at her gypsy attire but he’s attracted to what’s underneath.

Teagan doesn’t fall for the typical “rock star lines” but there’s a definite attraction to the two. Once they let their lust for each other mellow and their talents mingle, they make a great songwriting duo. Soon it becomes a family connection for protection against someone who doesn’t want the duo to happen.

Teagan has loved working in her family's Irish pub, playing her music when she can. She's happy with how her life is going and isn't looking to make any changes, especially any big changes. When the lead singer of a world famous rock band wanders into the family pub he's enchanted by Teagan and wants her to help him write his first solo album. Becoming famous has never been a goal of Teagan's but after a lost bet, helping Skye is no longer a choice. As they work closely together they discover not only do they have a great working relationship but that they have a chemistry they cannot deny. But with someone out to sabotage their efforts, will Teagan and Skye be able to find happiness without danger pulling them apart? A really great, sexy story in a series I'm falling for. Can't wait to continue!

I really liked the relationship between Sky and Teagan and found myself falling for them and intrigued by their romance.

However this review was nearly brought down to 2 stars. I wasn’t exactly a fan of the rock star plot to begin with, but the drama and climax of the story relating to Sky’s celebrity status and his enemies was abrupt and cliche.

Another issue I had with this story was that the g*psy slur was used 22 times as an “endearing” nickname for Teagan. Unfortunately the term g*psy has been used in a derogatory way to describe Roma and Travellers from various communities around the world, and these groups are still discriminated against to this day.

However, despite my issues with this story, I can’t deny that I felt deeply connected to Teagan and Sky’s relationship and I can’t fully ignore that in my review.

Enjoyed this even more than the first book! I really loved Teagan and Sky and the romance they start after Sky wins a singing competition to get Teagan to write songs with him. It was light on drama, which I appreciated (though I definitely didn't expect A Certain Direction it took near the end there. haha), but it was full of sexiness and the Collins family. Because it's a bit older, it doesn't always read well (aka sometimes the subtle, quiet girl hate is there that's run so rampant in romance especially), and there are a few problematic elements. But I can generally brush it off because the stories really have good things going for them. ONTO THE NEXT!

Teagan the family singer/song writer who sings and plays the guitar in the family bar/restaurant "Pat's Pub" meets Sky a rock singer when he comes into the pub in disguise. When Sky hears Teagan sing a song she has written, he offers to buy her song, she refuses and he challenges her to a singing contest. Teagan loses the bet and has to help Sky write music for his solo album. The story gets interesting as they are thrown together and they find out their music isn't the only thing they have passion for. Explicit sexual scenes.

It was a fortuitous day when Sky Mitchell sat down in Pat's Irish Pub. He was at a crossroads in his life and needed to make some hard decisions. Never in a million years did he envision that a red haired gypsy with the voice of an angel would solidify his decisions on the spot. Teagan Collins didn't even know who Sky was. It takes losing a bet to him that entails them pairing up to write songs that gives her the chance to know the man behind the rock star image. Falling in love wasn't on either one's agenda but they are definitely the perfect match both in and out of the bedroom.
