*****THIS BOX SET CONTAINS THE INDISCRETION SERIAL SERIES IN ITS ENTIRETY*****
F*ck and chuck. Pump and dump. Hit it and quit it. One night stand. Didn’t matter how I branded it—that’s all she had wanted it to be. That much was clear when she left me with my pants down and my dick still out.
What she hadn’t counted on was fate intervening and our worlds colliding—again.
The day I showed back up in the life of Chloe Griffins, I knew I had to have her again. My body was hungry for another taste. Like an addict, I’d been craving another hit for months, and there she was—flesh and bone, tits and ass.
The fact that she worked for the competition should’ve been reason enough for me to leave her alone. I had a job to do that summer and f*cking Chloe wasn’t part of it. But I was like a man possessed.
USA Today Bestselling author, Elisabeth Grace, has a soft spot for romance novels with happily ever afters and a hot spot for alpha males! She currently lives outside Toronto, Canada with her hubby and two small children. Life is busy, but never too busy for a good story and to share her love of reading and writing with others.
I received a copy of this book from author in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 - 5 SHINNING STARS
This series was unputdownable, it has you hooked from book 1, page 1, and then you just want to read, read, read!!
A sweet love story about Chloe and Max and how their pasts influences their opinions on relationships.......They don't have them anymore.
A hot encounter takes place on a night out, that Inevitably makes them both question everything about love they have come to believe in.
Max and Chloe were just lovely characters, Chloe had just the right amount of sass and insecurities that made her endearing to you! Max was mmmhmm, hot, sexy and funny, (it doesn't get better than that)!!! What I enjoyed about this book, was the fact that it was sweet and really lovely without any cheesiness, but kinda got you hot and tingly too.
I'm also a big fan of when the H and h are on 90% of the pages and these pair were, these lust for one another was insatiable and that was on a lot of the pages too! A bonking fest with a great storyline, it doesn't get much better!
I'm seriously in love with this series. It's just simple but with the right mix of angst and fun and of course, with totally hot scenes. I was hooked with this. I'm happy that I gave it chance and it never disappoints. This is one of my fav read of the year. For sure this will not be my last read on this author's work.
Its a recommended read and has everything you could want in a good read. Drama, humour, friendships, family, secrets, mystery, heartache, love, lust and forever afters.
If you never pass through the storm, then you'd have no appreciation of the rainbow"
Wow! This story sucked me in right from the start. It was sweet, sexy, and downright yummy. I brought out every emotion - I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and, of course, I threw my kindle across the room once or twice. Do NOT miss out on these serials. Highly recommended!!
This is the fist book I have read from Elizabeth Grace and it won't be my last. I am so glad that they got bundled together so I could read them in rapid succession. These short stories about Max & Chloe gripped me right from the start and had me rooting for them to make it last.
Volume 1: When they met, a chance encounter, at a night club in NY they were instantly drawn to each other. The chemistry between these two was hot! The fact that they are on opposite sides of the the drawing board only makes their summer fling that much more interesting. I know that the surface hasn't even been scratched with these two. Their feelings run much deeper than they're letting on.
Volume 2: This book picks up right where the first one left off. I love the bond that these two are forming. They have such a strong connection even if they can't see it yet, they're starting to feel it. I just know that this is going to cause some problems down the line. Of course with Chloe and Max the steaminess is off the charts. And holy mother of cliffhangers...I have to know what was in the newspaper article! And who got into her house...creepy
Volume 3: I was so happy for Chloe that she was going in there guns balzeing to give Max a piece of her mind! Good for her for defending herself. Luckily that misunderstanding was handled swiftly. Then, I was so furious with Chloe's boss for throwing that ultimatum out there. And even more mad that she just went along with it, for a bit anyway. I loved their weekend away that turned into a hiding game. It was perfectly them. Chloe and Max need to figure it out because it is so obvious that they belong together and that they both want it! But Elizabeth Grace what are you doing to me? This latest cliffhanger....
Volume 4: Finally some closure for Max and Chloe. But not without the usual drama that follows these two around. After the charity event, Max has some major groveling and making up to do- and he does. And then there is a big accident and Chloe freaks out. This just solidifies to her how much she truly has fallen for Max. Just when Chloe confesses her feelings, Max is dealt a huge blow. He realizes that he loves her too and that is why he pushes her away. Chloe is devastated and rightfully so. Her heart is shattered and she doesn't know what to do. Months later when she hears that things are not looking good for Max she decides to go visit him. What she saw is not what she expected at all and her heart broke all over again. But this time there was a hearty dose of anger along with it. Max tells her he will come for her when he can. When he can turns out to be almost a year later, just when Chloe has about given up hope that she will ever see him again.
This installment of the book was gut wrenching. Both of the characters grew so much but struggled at the same time because they couldn't function without the other. The final chapters when Max goes to find his woman put a big old smile back on my face. I was so happy that he got himself together enough to overcome his fears. When it was over, I found myself wanting more of the Max and Chloe saga!
#1 First I have to say that Contemporary Romance isn't my favorite genre. Saying that, this book was so good!!! It got my attention right from the start and I couldn't put it down. It was so hot, sensual, and sexy as hell!! I just fell in love with Max Richfield and wanted to just slap Chloe. You have a man like Max paying attention to you, you need to jump! He's so passionate and considerate. He knows what he wants and goes after it. He makes me swoon! I am so excited to read the next installment! I will be following this series to the end.
#2 I just love this series! It's well written and, for my at least, didn't have any low parts. The first volume grabbed my attention from beginning to end and this one isn't any different. It starts off where the last end with the bear! So it got my heart pumping from the start. The sexy encounters are just hot! Max has become my latest book boyfriend and I can't wait to get more Max!! I love how Grace tells her story from both point of views. I got a great insight in Max's motivations and how he's totally infatuated. I got to climb into Chloe's head and get a better understanding about her fears and expectations. I was so disappointed when this volume ended. I need the next installment!!! I can't wait to get my hands on it.
#3 This has easily become one of my favorite series. Full Review to Come!
I love Grace and hate her at the same time! This series has become one of my favorites. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and anxious to find out what happens next! I never had a "favorite couple" before, but I do now. I admire and root for Chloe. I would love to hang out and have a few drinks with her. Max, he is so hot and I lust for that man! Grace writes the book in two points of view. I love being able to get a glimpse into each of the characters feelings and points of view. No matter what I might be in the middle of reading once I get a new installment of this series I go right to it! If you like Erotic Contemporary Romance this is going to be your new favorite series!
#4
I have been totally obsessed with this series. It's sweet, loving, it has mystery and suspense, and hot as hell! My heart just goes out to this couple. I love how Grace writes in both characters point of view. I get to see the inner struggle and the witness the hard choices that have to make. I was in tears at the end of this book. I hated to see it end, but the ending was so amazing I couldn't help but cry. This is the first books from this author I have read, but she now has a fan for life! I can't wait to read more of Grace's work.
Indiscretion is a 4 part serial sold in box set. Volume 1 was seriously HOT. The scene in the night club was one of the hottest scenes I've read in a while. Chloe is very likeable, and Max is very much a talker in the bed room. He likes to give instructions, and she likes to take them. But this is not a book without substance. A relationship quickly forms, with no strings attached, and Volume 2 shows you the quick progression from their first encounter, to their budding friendship. Volume 3 brings us intrigue: Who is causing all of these mysterious things to happen to Chloe? There's the chemistry: seriously could Max be any better at sex talk? There's challenges: Max's accident (is it related to Chloe's intrigue?), and then there is the cliff hanger. Max, how could you do this to us?! Then there’s Volume 4, where this story isn’t about hearts and romance anymore, it was about survival. In volume 4 Max takes away all ability for Chloe to have a choice in their relationship. You are left with her pain, her heartache, his sorrow, his tears. Elisabeth Grace does a great job with the emotional aspects of the story. You feel the anger, the anguish. I did not agree with Max's choice, but I understood his reasoning. The epilogue ends very tidily. Honestly, I am not a fan of epilogues. I understand that they are a shorthand method of telling the end of the story, but so many times the voice of the characters has changed into a sickly sweetly romantic unrealistic prince and princess charming tale. Where's the piled up laundry, sink full of dishes, overly tired mother of toddlers in the epilogue? It can't be all roses all the time! Nevertheless, this epilogue is a tidy summary of their HEA, and I was left feeling satisfied and complete at the end of the book. I I have held on to some Elisabeth Grace books on my kindle for over a year, and finally made myself read the books. I am so glad I did! Elisabeth Grace has a new fan in me!
Max and Chloe meets and things get hot and heavy quickly , they sexual chemistry is undeniable , and one night turns into a summer fling when Max shows up in Chloe's home town for work ...this story has so many twist and turns , keeps you on the edge the whole time , and when you think you have it all figured it out , bam another unexpected twist . Super hot and steamy ... It should come with a warning lol . But there it's so much more , you can't help but fall in love with the characters as you read . I loved this book , Elisabeth Grace is an amazing author and keeps you guessing till the very end . Must read !!!!!!
Absolutely loved this story about Max and Chloe! I laughed and cried along with the characters.... Such a real connection between Max and Chloe that turned into a relationship ... The epilogue was just exactly what I wanted to know about their relationship status... I was able to relate to Chloe and having to sacrifice everything in your life to take care of others
I loved Max & Chloe's story! This was my first Elizabeth Grace book and I will definitely be reading her others. It had all the feels...happiness, laughter, tears, suspense, heartbreak, sweeter than sweet romance...and on and on! There is a scene close to the end of the book that might be my favorite scene ever! This series is a must read!! ❤️
I loved this story of Max and Chloe. An alpha male at his highest and lowest. Chloe determine to make her own way in the world has her share of ups and downs. The chemistry between them is explosive! A must read! Looking forward to reading more from Elisabeth Grace!
Book 1 : I have never read anything by Elisabeth Grace before, but I must say I have become a fan. She writes character who are very believable.
Chloe Griffins has had a hard life. Her dad has never been in the picture and her mom passed away in a car accident and she was left leave college to raise her younger sister. Now that her sister has left to go away to college, Chloe is finally able to have a life. Chloe's friend, Jackie, is getting married so the group of girls go to New York City for the bachelorette party. While they are at the bar On The Rocks, Chloe accidentally falls into the arms of a hot guy in the men's room of all places. Max wants to get to know Chloe better so he invites her to a private VIP room to talk. While talking they develop strong sexual chemistry. One thing leads to another and they end up having sex at the bar! Chloe freaks out and leaves, figuring she will never see him again.
Two months later, Chloe is back to her regular life in Bar Harbor, Maine and who walks into her work place....Max! He has been thinking non-stop of her and is shocked to see her. He wants to date her while he is in town for the summer. She finally agrees to a friends with benefits arrangement. I loved their times spent together. Chloe is so straightforward and honest and I love the way she talks to Max. I love how Max has to work for Chloe.
I knew there were multiple parts to the story but I didn't realize this would end with a cliffhanger! I'm not the most patient person having to wait for the next part! :)
Overall, I really like this storyline. The characters are well developed and very likeable. Chloe is someone I could see being friends with. Max is someone I could see dating! I can't wait to see how this story continues!
Book 2 : I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this volume. Thanks goodness because I needed to see how Chloe and Max handle the bear! I cannot even imagine that happening to me! Chloe calls her friend, Gabe, the park ranger, to tell him about the bear and he tells her he will go back to the area to get her things that she left.
Chloe and Max continue their friends with benefits role, but secretly each of them are starting to fall for the other. Chloe ends up spending the night at Max's suite. The next morning while doing the walk of shame, she finds Gabe waiting for her at her house. He thinks she is just coming back from being out early, but when he realizes she is just coming home from last night he does not seem too happy. I'm not sure if I like Gabe yet. He seems like he has a hidden agenda.
After Chloe has a long day with working and a meeting she goes to see Max. I swooned with what Max did for Chloe after she showed up! I want a Max of my very own! ;) The chemistry between these two is HOT and I love the banter back and forth.
We finally get a little bit of Max's dad, Winston Richfield. He sounds like a piece of work. The volume ends with Chloe's boss, Mr. Cullen telling her that she has to do a certain thing. I can't believe what her boss is making her do! I also can't wait to see what the deal is between Mr. Cullen and Winston Richfield!
The the cliffhanger....ugh! What the heck did the paper say? Killing me here Ms. Grace!
Overall I am really enjoying this series and can't wait for the next part!
Book 3 : Chloe confronts Max about the newspaper article. He explains that he gave that interview months ago, before he even knew Chloe and forgot all about it. He knows what is in the article is not true. Chloe forgives him but explains that she needs to stop their relationship or risk losing her job because of Mr. Cullen's demand. Max convinces Chloe otherwise but they will keep their relationship secret.
Max is not happy that someone came into Chloe's house to leave the newspaper. She agrees to contact her best friend's husband, Jamie, who is a police officer. Jamie seems to think that the person didn't want to harm Chloe, just wanted to make sure she saw the article. Gabe shows up just as Jackie and Jamie does and wants to help. Chloe is confused as to why Gabe is there, but let's it go.
I loved Max and Chloe's weekend getaway, especially the car ride! ;) They had a sweet and romantic trip until they get back to find 3 of Chloe's car tires have had the air let out. Now Max is really worried.
It is now the night of the Charity Gala. Max and Chloe manage to sneak away for a few minutes alone before the event starts...in a broom closet of all places! Max arranges for a special guest to be there as a surprise for Chloe and she is thrilled.
At one point Mrs. Cullen tells Chloe the reason behind the feud between her husband and Max's dad, Winston Richfield. This helps Chloe understand things better.
Just as Max sees his dad, he sees the young woman on his arm and stiffens. Suddenly, Max leads this woman out of the gala by the elbow.
Chloe performs her song on stage at the gala. As she gets off she is given a note. It's from Max telling her to meet him outside by the pool. She thinks he wants to sneak more time with her but when she shows up he is still with this other woman! And she is not happy with what she sees! In fact, she is pissed.
Ugh....such cliffhanger endings! I think Elisabeth Grace just enjoys torturing her readers. I am really loving this story and can't wait for the last part!
Book 4 : I was shocked what Max did at the dinner with his ex. Seems like a Max type thing to do but I still felt bad for Chloe. I'm glad it was resolved quickly. Had I also known that a character was going to have a certain issue, I'm not sure I would have read this book. It is a tough subject for me. I'm glad it wasn't dragged out too bad and I am very glad for the wonderful happy ending.
Kinda mad because I bought two of these books.. I accidentally stared reading this one first and I just can't finish it. I just couldn't get into it... I don't feel the story. Maybe I'll finish it another time but it's doubtful.
I just finished reading this series of books and I must say that I couldn't put it down. I loved it. Chloe and Max are so beautiful together and the fact that you have both their pov s it's a plus. I truly recommend them. 5++ for me
I absolutely enjoyed this series! Initially, I didn’t connect right away to the characters, but I liked them; however, this quickly changed. As I continued to read and got to know more about Max and Chloe and watching their relationship progress, my connection to the characters deepened. This series had me laughing, crying and saying WTH!! Normally when I read a book, I can usually figure things out as to where the author is heading or going to make happen, but Elisabeth threw things out there that took me by surprise! I am glad that I was able to read all four volumes at once so I didn’t have to wait till the next book was out; THAT would have been torturous!
My review of Volume 1: This is a very good start to this series. Although I hadn’t connected to the characters yet, I do like them, especially Chloe. It was pretty funny how she and Max met. I love being able to read from both main character’s point of view. Elisabeth did a great job of going between the two. I will let you know that this ends on a cliffhanger and I must say that I did not see that coming lol. In fact, I don’t think I have ever come across a cliffhanger like that!
My review of Volume 2: Max has a secret and I want to know what it is! LOL. It took a little bit, but I have finally connected to the characters. There is some hot kinky sex in this book! WOW!! Good continuation from the first volume. Max is definitely bringing out a hidden side to Chloe. Be forewarned! Elisabeth Grace is a queen of cliffhangers! (so get all books at the same time so you won’t be left, well, hanging – pun may or may not have been intended).
My review of Volume 3. Loving how Max and Chloe’s story is progressing. In traditional Elisabeth Grace fashion, there was a nice the cliffhanger at the end. But this cliffhanger wasn’t a WTH, but the WTF!! LOL! This story has sucked me in. It’s pretty hard to put down.
My review of Volume 4. *Sigh* I cannot convey how this final volume affected me! There is angst, heart stopping moments, shock, and the flood of tears (and that’s just on my part lol). Wow…this final volume is so full of emotion. This is one of those times throughout the story that Elisabeth Grace showed her gift of story-telling. Truly some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. The more I read, the harder it was to put down. I truly grew to love Max and Chloe. Although the ending was wonderful, I was sad to see it end.
This box set contains the complete serial. I must admit that I enjoy this story a lot more than I thought I would. I was expecting to be entertained, but not to be pulled in the way that I was. Chloe meets Max in NYC while out celebrating her BFF's upcoming nuptials. Completely out of character for her (complete with the confidence of alcohol), Chloe hooks up with Max in a private room while both are fully dressed. They have great conversation and one thing leads to another. While neither get undressed, she leaves the room (and the club) well satisfied while Max is left out to dry - both literally and figuratively. Months later he reenters her world in Maine. They eventually agree to have a summer fling where no feelings are to get in the way. We all know that this is futile, but it's oh so entertaining to witness. They get themselves into some very unique situations as their feeling slowly become apparent. There are a few misunderstandings and close to the end - near devastation. It all does work out for the best in the end. I loved the fact that these were 2 strong characters. Neither are dependent on others for survival in the way most other books portray their characters. While both have baggage that made them into the people that they are when they meet, it's their time together that has them growing as individuals and as a couple. It's ultimately a feel good with hope. I'm so glad that I picked this one up. I hope that you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
The story is about Chloe and Max brought together by fate both looking to release some sexual tension by agreeing to a no strings fling during the summer. The story is broken into four volumes. Told in Chloe and Max's POV. Chloe works for a real estate developer. Max is a Development Manager. Chloe is in NY for the weekend when she meets Max at a club. Max is well known in NY. He too is a workaholic not having time to date. He too is sexually frustrated and looking to get laid. Max is a millionaire and single. Chloe and Max have chemistry and an instant attraction to one another. Chloe sings and plays guitar. Max too plays guitar. Chloe and Max have fate on there side by constantly bumping into each other. The story is an erotic journey between Chloe and Max. They are insatiable. They continue to meet for sex. They continue to respond well to each other physically. With most cookie cutter stories there is tons of pleasurable sex. This story contains all the best qualities a book boyfriend can provide: giving orgasms, massages, baths, dinners, attentive, responsive, and a dirty talker. It just turned into Fifty Shades of Grey. The story revolves around business and sex. In between all the sex some issues and drama arise to make the story more realistic. The story covered a lot of ups and down drama in the short amount of time they spent together.
I really enjoyed this series & happy it's all 4 volumes in 1 because each one ends leaving you wanting more. I will admit, the big bold lettered saying on the description of the back of this book threw me off & Im not really a fan of that. After I finished reading this I went to check the description of the individual volumes & I loved the last 3. They fit the story better. I love that Max is so down to earth & doesn't try to impress w/ his money. Chloe isn't the kind of character that runs away all the time if she's upset she hears Max out & I liked that. Volume 4 really shocked me & I didn't see that coming at all. It brought me to tears. The story is very well written & the dual POVs are always my fav., which the Author writes perfectly, I do wish I knew more about what happened w/ Chloe's sister & the whole situation behind that. Really good story shockingly emotional & I definitely recommend.
I was torn when it came time to review. I really enjoyed the writing style. It was easy to read and flowed well. I enjoyed the characters, although a couple secondary characters were just not developed well enough for the importance of their role, and some of the major conflicts they caused seemed way to extreme for someone so unimportant. At first, I was torn about my feelings for this book, then when discussing it with a friend I realized. This was written as a serial, with 4 separate installments. I read it, in one sitting, as one book. Because of that it felt bumpy. Each section had its own plot line, and conflict, and action. Had I read it separately, that would have been fine. But the sections aren't quite long enough for that to feel as natural reading it in one go. So, read this book, but not in one sitting. Try to treat each section separately.
Wow!!! This was a seriously fantastic read!!! Chloe and Max, they were extremely easy characters to fall in love with and go on their adventure! There were lots of twists and turns that these two as a couple had to overcome... And that last one really threw me for a loop! But through it all love never lost. I found myself more often laughing but crying some too through out this book. Those different emotions are what makes the book so great! It's hard not to love Max and Chloe and now that I'm finished I'm sad that I reached the end of their adventure! I can't wait for more from Elisabeth!
I loved this story between Max and Chloe. Max and Chloe's chemistry was so HOT!! I loved the sex, love and growth of the two characters, with some twists thrown in to keep you on your toes. I loved the ending i was so sad it ended. This was my first read by Elisabeth Grace and it won't be my last, looking forward to reading more books by her!!
Chloe is a small town girl, while Max is a big city guy..when they meet and have a one night quickie in the back of a club she intends to never see him again....but fate has other plans. You will never see the twists and turns in this series coming! Loved it and kept me reading, actually finished the series in a matter of two days..Loved!
You know when you read the first paragraph of a "new to you" author and think "YES" I love this style of writing? Yeah that happened with Indiscretion. I devoured the whole Indiscretion series! Loved it and love Elisabeth's writing style, will be checking out all her other books. Did I mention I loved it?
Such a great story. My heart broke for Chloe. At times I would cry with her. Max the sexy hot billionaire. Not your typical billionaire. Down to earth sexy man. A one night stand with Chloe in NY starts their story. A must read. You will not be disappointed
I read the series as it came out. What a great book. You will laugh and then you will cry. Full of emotion with some great cliffhangers between books that keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend this book.
Wow, what can I say... I fell in love with characters almost immediately, the story was romantic and held my interest from start to finish. The feels, especially in vol 4 were crazy. I cried and hoped for the ending that they both deserved. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
