I enjoyed this one. Loved the buildup towards the big reward in the end. There are unanswered questions in the story tho.

Really obnoxious main character. Pablo wasn’t much better and there was no explanation for the way he acted at lunch. To propose marriage after a few texts and sleeping together once was ludicrous.

This was not my favorite of the Quickie series. It was a little confusing and by the time it got to them getting it on, I just wasn't invested into it as much. I simply didn't see/feel any chemistry between them and didn't care if they worked or not.

Gerald wasn't my favorite person. Though, a few things he got ticked off at did make sense to me(like being ignored during lunch). First off, it seems he had just met Pablo the day before(when he ate their for the first time), but he already knew his name? I thought Pablo was his waiter, but then later on he is the restaurant manager, with no explanation. Then he want off and picked up some random guy, just like that. Then used the poor guy to make Pablo jealous(that was a bit shitty on his end, even if the guy was a lousy lay).

Then we have Pablo. It seems like he is some jilted lover who should be obeyed all the time. Yeah, Pablo, Gerald got ticked off that you were ignoring him during lunch.(which we don't find out why). He had enough time to run out of the kitchen like 3-5 times, a quick smile or wave or a simple "Hello, I'm busy" would have been good.

Then at the end... Pablo kind of give me the creeps. . Really, I was expecting to read that it was some game they were playing. Like, they were already lovers and pretended not to 'know' each other. Even if that was the case, when Gerald got mad at him he shouldn't have ran off and jump someone else. I see how this was suppose to be a happy ending, but I sure don't see it happening.

Book Review for Jamie Lake
Book: On the Kitchen Floor

This a quick read. The story is about 30 pages long and can be read in about 30 minutes. The characters were well developed and anyone could easily relate to the story. This is a Male/Male story but had the same basic vibe as any other romance.
Overview: Gerald is looking for the “one” person to complete his life. He is tired of the simple hookups. He decided to go to lunch one day and spotted Pablo the restaurant manager or owner. He could not take his eyes off of him but didn’t know if he was gay or not. After a short conversation and being walked out by Pablo, Pablo gives him his number. Gerald is shock. Could it have been that easy? He sent an email to him that night so he know his number too. Texting was good, but he wanted more. He went to lunch the next day but Pablo ignored him. So Gerald took another guy to dinner to make Pablo Jealous. Pablo later makes an offer that Gerald could not refuse.

What really happens when two HOT men want more out of life. Another sexy, erotic, short story from Jamie Lake which leaves you feeling at the end....WOW!! What just happened? The story line was amazing as usual per Jamie's writing style. Characters are both Hot and wanting. Just took a while to get what they both wanted, but when they got there it was definitely a surprise. Could have been hotter, but shows more promise for more. Good Read. Enjoyed it a lot. Short and to the point

Jamie writes an amazing story. I was hooked from their eyes first meeting and experienced a multitude of emotions in a few short pages. Even though i thought Gerald was being a bit childish I felt his pain and desire for a HEA. I did an internal cheer when Pablo called him out on it and even more so when he showed Gerald who was in charge.

I may have to go for some exotic food tonight!

Good story

Good story. Didn't seem just like a sex scene with a little commentary. This one had some meat and potatoes. I would recommend it.

Well, this one let me down at the end. I was enjoying the story despite a few grammatical errors and typos, and I thought the developing relationship between the two MCs Gerald and Pablo was going well. Then it abruptly ended. But it was definitely a good effort for such a short read.

I had read several books by this author and this story is my favorite. I was nicely paced and the characters were lovely and on the older side. If so, I just wanted more of them. Maybe Pablo's POV. Plus, I wanted to know why he ignored Gerald.
