Grace Gillman and Sebastian Evans have more in common than they think. Not only do they love hockey and live to tear up the ice, but they also hate each other with a passion. More importantly, both Grace and Sebastian are humiliated by the attraction they feel towards one another. After all, you're not supposed to have the hots for your sworn enemy...

Since tryouts, Sebastian has resented the girl that could threaten his spot as number one player on the hockey team. Grace, on the other hand, can't stand that her captain is a sexist, arrogant, womanizer.

Can the two teammates make it through the hockey season without killing each other?

My biggest flex is that I read this book and Puck You 2 in high school both twice before Puck You became paid stories on Wattpad and Puck You 2 got taken down 💁‍♀️

Reading books on Wattpad is a thrilling ride because I only add the good books that I read on Goodreads. This eBook was by far the best I have ever read. I loved the romance and drama. I would read another book by Payton Novak in the future.

One again Payton Novak brings us a brilliant novel. The plot is something that I had never read before at least in hockey and never was it as good as her. The main female character Grace is a fun read because she is sort of a badass and cilled with sarcastic humor. I also loved that this book was one where you saw that both characters felt something but didn't want to have feelings for each other which gave the reader something to push and root for throughout the book.

I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great strong female character and a romance story with a little action and rivalry. Happy reading!!

I love Sebastian and his undying love for Grace. I'm also glad that Matt didn't end up with Grace because he honestly got too clingy. But over all this book is so AMAZING and I'm glad I read it!! :)

Hockey, Romance, Rivalry, Passion, Dedication, Friendship, Family, Trust Issues and one of the best tropes out their enemies to lovers. This book has ALL and so much more. I was really addicted once I got into this book I didn’t want to put it down. I received a copy from Net galley. Saw that it was a hockey book, I was like okay that sounds interesting let me check it out. I’m so happy I did and was chosen to review this book.

We meet Sebastian, who is a bit on the angry side at first just coming back from an injury and in skates Grace out of nowhere invading his personal space. The attraction is immediate for, but the enemies’ part must play out first. It’s a great dynamic and I can feel their intensity throughout the book.

Don’t want to give too much away because I think you should pick up this book and read it and even read it again to see if you miss anything. I can get you the basics though. The plot takes place in college, seems like it may be their last chance at hockey, and neither is one taking it for granted. But the two of them, Grace and Sebastian, have their own set of issues. They bring out the best in the other, they just don’t know it right away.

The friendship group (teammates) are so much more, even they have some great dynamics together, separately and coupling. I really can’t wait to see what happens in Puck 2. Also, can we just talk about the title of the book, I think that’s really what got me interested, because what a great title with a double entendre really. I loved everything about this book and found myself not wanting to put it down.

It must be noted there were quite a few spicy scenes peppered throughout the book, after all it’s a new adult book with characters in their twenties in college with all that testosterone and hormones flying about the ice it’s bound to happen. I usually don’t like those scenes so much, but these were not that overtly unappealing.

Overall, I really loved this book, hope you check it out and can’t wait to see what happens next. Sebastian and Grace are just two complex characters who need to learn to trust one another and together they can take over the world.

Personally I think, if you are into light banter in the beginning of romance books I'd go for it. I really liked this book, although i did wish for a bit more drama, as part one of the book had an alright amount, and then part 2 was just sebastian changing his mind every 3 chapters whether he should go after grace or not. Also I don't know if it's just me, but I liked grace and matt better. He was respectful and kind, but because of the 'plot' grace had to end up with Sebastien, which I think is a very bad Stereotype on romance books, because the fl HAS to end up with the ml, but in this case I didn't like it because matt and grace had so much good chemistry, and then suddenly it all goes away and their time together means nothing because Sebastian has feelings for her and grace 'FEels A sParK' anyway I wish it had a different ending and had more drama, but overall it was okay, and I never felt bored, but if I'm being honest wasn't a page Turner.

Grace has transferred to a new team for her senior year and quickly realizes her new college doesn’t value women’s sports nearly as much as men’s. At the center of this imbalance is Sebastian, the team captain returning from an injury and determined to reclaim his former glory. The two clash as they compete for attention, and, of course, one thing leads to another, and romance sparks.

I really enjoyed that both characters are athletes; it gave Grace added depth and made their dynamic more engaging with all the competitive tension. I loved the college setting, the dual-athlete storyline, and the overall energy of the book. It was a fun, fast-paced read. Sometimes I find it a little unbelievable that these characters always have an NHL contract waiting in the wings, but hey, this is fiction.

A lighthearted rivals-to-lovers romance with plenty of hockey jargon, heart, and exactly the vibe I look for in a sports romance.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Some aspects of the book set me off, Grace and Evan's relationship was also very difficult and uncooperative. Don't remember reading this book all that much but I didn't have the best opinion of it.

Definitely one of the better Wattpad books I've read. Who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers troupe?

4-4.5 stars this book is separated into 2 different parts than are essentially different books. The first part I was totally in love with the whole thing the storyline, the drama, and the characters. The second part was not the same, I understand the need to wrap up the story and finish developing the characters but for me something was missing. I'm not sure if it was the lack of hockey, being that both characters hockey was their way of life then grace is on the college hockey team at her dream college and we hear nothing about it.

really annoying book trope that involved a love triangle, the book was really frustrating but evened out towards the end! unfortunately wouldn’t recommend buying this book as it’s definitely not one of my favourites i’ve read on wattpad

Was a good story about a girl playing in a men hockey team. However, the book did drag and could have finished before they go to collage.
