On a quiet street in the suburbs of Chicago sits an ordinary ranch home built in the sixties. Inside, a young couple rests comfortably until there is a scratch at the door…

To write and tell a story the way each of us does is a gift and a responsibility. We sometimes toil hours with an idea, or even just one sentence, not knowing if anyone beyond us will ever read our words. We do it for love. The love of bringing to light the world that resides inside our heads.
It does not matter if we have a happy ending or a soulful gasp. What matters is that we put these thoughts on paper. So keep writing my friends. Keep taking us to the secret corners of your mind. Be brave. Tempt fate and above all enjoy.

This series gets better and better!

This is the twelfth novel of the "Haunted Series." I didn't realize I actually was on the 12th book until I started to crave donuts! I've had the pleasure of writing 16 books about Mia, Murphy and PEEPs over the last few years. Keeping to the paranormal investigative structure of the book while advancing the characters has been a fun challenge. I promise to stop picking on Burt in the next book. Be careful, very careful who you let in your mind!! They might not want to leave, ever!! When PEEPs is called in to help a young couple in the 'burbs whose dream house has turned into a nightmare house, they have no idea what's waiting for them inside! It will take all of the PEEPs crew as well as Beverly and Gerald, the man who knows a man who knows a man, ect ect; Father Santos and Angelo and a level 30 wizard named Orion to stop the return to flesh and bood an evil mentalist named Garbo the Great. This is the 12th book in the amazing Haunted Series and it's a real winner! As always the writing is exceptional, the characters are very believable and if you have gotten this far in the series you already luv them and the new characteristic Orion will steal your heart. The storyline is ongoing and developers with each story, proving it to be much deeper and fascinating than it first appeared to be. Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this storyline!!
Each book in this series has been really fantastic! I love the characters especially Murphy, the ghost! This storyline was intense and fascinating. I'm looking forward to getting started on the next book.

Loving this series
I didn't know there were so many different evil entities out there but there are and the PEEPS are finding all of them! Trying to get rid of this most recent one, we met a new person. Orion is a colleague of angelo. Throughout his help, they succeeded!! Now #13xx

Yet another fantastic ghost hunting tale from PEEPs. I read this one out of order- but no worries I am reading the one before it next! I would urge lovers of Charlaine Harries or Jeaniene Frost to read these books - they are brilliant, every story is so different from the last.

A little bit out there
This book was really a little bit out there but it was still good. I wish they would have pictures of the characters in at least one of these books. I would really like to see Mia, Ted, Murphy, Mike, Burt, Audrey, Cid, and especially Angelo!

Great fun!
Love Alexie's characters... every time a new book comes out, it's like picking up with old friends. Mind Fray was no exception... can't wait to start the next book!

this installment of this series did nothing for me..although I enjoyed the addition of Orion to the cast of characters. reread in February, 2017. raised the rating. enjoyed it better the second time.
