This is a stand-alone book, but much more fun when read along with The Juliette Trilogy.
Author Motivation: All the princess books are coming of age stories. The main character progresses from college to becoming an adult. Overcoming an imbedded belief or coming to terms with adult issues is not always easy or pretty to watch. If I've done my job well as an author, there will be times when you yell at my protagonist to grow up, get their head out of their butt, or to stop worrying so much. Hopefully, by the end of each book, you will cheer the protagonist as they grow, change, and mature into an adult.
Of course these are all romance novels, so the center of each story is the protagonist as they embrace their wonderful partner.

Work Stuff -- I've spent many years working high-tech in Silicon Valley at both large companies and start-ups. This has given me plenty of war stories and a rich understanding of how things work in the valley. I use this as a backdrop to my stories.
Family Stuff -- I'm a mom of a wonderful teenage daughter.
Book Stuff -- Coaching my daughter's soccer team was the inspiration for the Princess series. I watched all these wonderful girls and imagined what they would be like in ten years.
The Prince stories were inspired by all the single 30-somethings I know who are all working hard and still looking for that someone special.
The Reunion series was motivated by me going back to my high school reunion. The love stories are all from my imagination but many of the interactions were real.
Background Stuff -- Most of my stories take place in Silicon Valley. Not only do I live in Silicon Valley but I find it a unique and dynamic place with lots of smart people who work really hard. It also has its own culture I rarely find correctly represented in our media. I think most people who write about Silicon Valley have never worked at a Silicon Valley high-tech company. In other words, they really don't understand why it is the way that it is, they just write about the manifestations of what they see. I hope my books are a fun and an under-the-cover look, at high-tech Silicon Valley-style.
When I was looking for a second location for my stories, I wanted a place that would be different from Silicon Valley. That's why I chose Western New York -- where I grew up. I liked that it was three thousand miles away so the weather was different, the land was different, and it has a very different economic base.
Why I write -- A few years ago I had a cardiac arrest, spent four days in a coma, and lost ten days of my memory. With my damaged heart, I spent the rest of the year laying on my couch trying to get oxygen to my muscles and reading ... a lot. I found I liked books that have a first-person narrative, are relationship-driven and have a happy ending. These three characteristics were in all romance novels.
My Niche -- What I didn't see in most of the romance books was intelligent women with non-traditional jobs, a strong group of friends, and a loving relationship with their families. Since I have no desire to try to fix a broken man or date an unrepentant bad boy I found the typical romance men to be unappealing. That doesn't mean my hero's don't have issues. It's just their issues can be solved by opening up and falling in love with a great woman.
Where I get my ideas -- I got my idea for my books from life. My first series “The Princesses” is about 20-something men and women who live in Silicon Valley and are transitioning from college to full adulthood. For my second series, “The Princes”, I aged the protagonists up so they are dealing with issues people in their 30's face. With my third series “Reunion” I felt the issues and lifestyle of adults in their late thirties were universal and the stories did not need to be tied to Silicon Valley.
Another winner!!. I love to view the "other" side of the relationship. There is always two sides of a story. Nate has always been my favorite. To see in his early life and understand what makes a man what he becomes as adult is nice. So confident and self-assured and a true gentlemen. Nate knows what he wants. From day one, he wanted Juliette. He did everything right to be the perfect puzzle pierce for Juliette. I would love to see more them in the upcoming books. I am happy that the author is continuing with this series.

Nate is Book 4 in the Princesses of Silicon Valley series. Dr. Nate was introduced to the reader in Book 1. Now it is Nate’s turn to tell his story from his point of view. This well written novel can be read as part of the series but is strong enough as a stand-alone read. The book takes the reader on Nate’s journey from high school to Silicon Valley and most importantly his relationship with Juliette. The author reveals Nate’s honesty and integrity—he is likeable and real. It is refreshing to read a novel about characters that are not scarred and dysfunctional. Anita Claire’s series is character driven. Her use of interesting locations paints an exciting backdrop for her characters as well. Looking forward to the next installment of this sizzling series.
I got this one for free on amazon. The author did send me an email about it. Nate is one of the men that Juliette is dating in Meet Me in Silicon Valley. We learn about how Nate treats women, starting with high school. He's a dog! A hit 'em and quit 'em kind of guy. During his residence in Minnesota, he falls in love with Mariana. But after 3 years, he proposes and she leaves him. Quite a few months later, he goes to California to visit his sister and he meets Juliette. He decides that he needs to leave Minnesota, so he applies for a job where his sister and Juliette live. He and Juliette start dating. Will they end up together?
This book was much better than Meet Me. The focus was on the couple which I liked. The writing was more mature. I enjoyed getting to know these people as a couple. But the ending was abrupt!

I really enjoyed Nate's story, filling in the background of informstion that was "missing" from The Juliette Trilogy. I had wondered how Juliette had found the guy who wanted a relationship rather than just being casual. Not wanting to give any spoilers, I was surprised at Nate wavering over whether his relationship with Juliette was the right one, as I got the impression that she was "the one" for him...Just shows even the most certain of guys have their doubts. I also liked that even though this was Nate's version of the same story, there were things in this book that went further with his and Juliette's tale.

I must first say the first books didn't do it for me but... Nate was great. I loved how the story was told from his point view and we really got to know him. He of course is as hot as he always was but also an all around good guy. We get to grow up with him and meet his past ladies. As must would expect his story doesn't start that day on the soccer field which I truly love that we met him from the beginning. We do get more of Juliette and she too is so much better in this book.
This story is everything it should be just the right drama and hotness.
Oh I just loved reading Nate's point of view. I really did love how he was so into Juliette from the beginning. I also was sad to read about his feeling towards Mariana once she surfaced again.....but don't fear Dr. Nate makes the right choice..lol. I enjoyed this book, I always love to read from the males point of view.
I'm liking when the story starts flowing but you have to keep going back in that back story to get to the present story . So it kinda makes me what to just give up on the rest of it.sorry.

This book is hard to review. In parts, I absolutely LOVED it! In other parts, it dragged or was too rushed. The first half of the book I really liked. While it rushed through the life of the younger Nate, I liked getting to know him. When we were first introduced to him in the Juliette Trilogy, I thought he was going to be a condescending, pretentious prick. But getting an abbreviated glimpse into his school days, he was a typical guy who was ran by his hormones but he was pretty much a nice, driven, smart guy. Fast forward to around the 55% mark, we are brought up to when he meets Juliette. This section got a little boring to me as it was basically a retelling of the trilogy. While the first part was fun because we learned new things, this part presented nothing new – it was just from his POV.
However, I was happy to see that this book continued past where book 3 in the trilogy ended. While it was exciting at first to read how their relationship was progressing, I was at first a little disappointed that there seemed to be no conflict or challenge for them to overcome. But then a wrench was thrown in. But the way the conflict was resolved, it felt too rushed and didn’t feel genuine. The wrench served no greater purpose then to build tension in both Nate and the reader but it was dismissed pretty quickly without a sense of real closure.
And then, there’s that word again… CLOSURE. This book fails to give this by the time you reach the 100% mark. I still feel like there are things I need to know… Is Nate really committed…? Is he having second thoughts…? Is she really gone? I was battling in my mind where to rate this book between a 4 and a 4.5. Like I said in the beginning, some parts I thought it was perfect… others I thought it slightly failed. But over-all. I really, really liked the journey of the characters. I feel like I could almost read about them for 47 more books… Almost.

This is my fourth in a row Anita Claire review; yes, I'm loving all this Silicon Valley series, she is awesome.
Nate is the fourth book in The Princesses of Silicon Valley Series, and the first one after the Juliette Trilogy. It can totally be read as a standalone but is so much better if you read the whole series!!
The Story
Nate is a player, always has been. That is at least until he meet Mariana a beautiful Brazilian physical therapist that make him fall in love. But one day, after they get engaged she leaves with nothing more than a note.
Now Nate is heart-broken, but has learned and important lesson; he doesn't want to be a player anymore, he wants a real relationship. And meet Juliette maybe what he needs to move on from Mariana and maybe fall in love again.
My Thoughts
I love the idea of seeing both sides of the story. After reading from Juliette's point of view is so cool knowing what was going on through Nate's mind the whole time.
I also like the way the author start the book by giving a review of the most important facts of Nate's life. The ones that make him who he is now. It is divided in High School, College, Medical School and California.
I also like that there are more Nate meet the princesses chapters and that Cassie has a new boyfriend who isn't a jerk.
What I don't like is that some times I felt like I was reading a summary of the Juliette Trilogy from Nate's point of view. And also that there wasn't many details of Juliette meeting Melissa.
I can't wait for the next book, Hita, to be release and I can get my hands on it. Xo
The book seems rushed. Even some of the best authors trying to do a book have it fall short. *Spoiler: I was hoping by the title that this was the rejected guy and we'd get to see where he ended up. The first and last few chapter that were different from the previous book were so short and rushed we didn't learn that much more about this couple which was disappointing. It needs more detail in so many aspects about all the trips to the cabin, the Chinese New Year, the family party for her sister all seemed to last a page and had enough space to just explain what happened but put no depth or story behind them.

I liked hearing from Nate's POV. This book was good but didn't quite do it for me like the first three. I didn't like the part where Nate's ex shows up. It was a bit rushed and and made me dislike Nate. It's like I love my ex and then, no I should love Juliette so that's who I love. It was not believable to me.
I also felt that there was several editing errors in this book that should be taken care of.
Overall, I have really enjoyed Juliette's story, as well as Nate's, and would definitely recommend the series.
This was a great addition to the series, I loved getting to see Nate's POV during the time he was with Juliette. I have a feeling if Juliette knew about Nate's past she wouldn't be with him, but as the saying goes "what you don't know can't hurt you". Nate was a Player with a capital P! We get to see parts of him in High School, College and during his residency, I must say I was surprised at what he went through as a resident but it sure does explain a LOT about the way he is with Juliette.

It was really good to read this story from Nate's perspective, it gave a different tell on it. It kind of made you enjoy this series more, because the writing was punchy, not drawn out and the story despite being similar to book 1 had a completely different take on it. The reader was left with sadness when Mariana left, but also anxiety when she returned again. A good outcome and a nice lead into the next book in this series.
OMG this was the most boring book to read. It was sooooooo slow......... Nate hooks up finds a chick he is into she's a bitch stay together get engaged then she dumps him and he is heart broken but I never felt anything for Nate. He seemed to lack a personality. Not my cup of tea. I didn't read the first books of this series and probably never will.
