I matched with a Dom online. Then I heard his phone chime... In the next room.

My life’s a mess. The family ranch is circling the drain, my dad’s gambling problem is out of control, and now I’m stuck scrubbing floors for the cowboy who’s been buying up our land piece by piece. Caleb Flynn is everything I can’t cocky, controlling, and way too hot for my peace of mind. But when I join The Club App for a little distraction, the Dom I match with is sweet, filthy, and seems to know exactly what I want. It’s the perfect escape... Until I hear I send a quick message while I'm cleaning, and hear the app chime. From Caleb’s room.

I shouldn’t want her. She’s trouble in tight jeans, and she’s hated me since I first rolled into town. But when I find out she’s the sub I just matched with online? All bets are off. She wants to play? I’ll give her exactly what she’s asking for—just enough heat to make her beg... and enough rules to make sure she remembers who’s really in charge.
A spicy small-town dom/sub novella with enemies-to-lovers chaos, Cowboy kink, and a match neither of them saw coming. Fate has jokes—and they’re dirty.Look for other books in the Lessons in Dominance AFTER HOURS by Caitlin Crews, HARD DISCIPLINE by Jackie Ashenden and BAD GIRL DILEMMA by Zara Cox.
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Maisey Yates lives in rural Oregon with her three children and her husband, whose chiseled jaw and arresting features continue to make her swoon. She feels the epic trek she takes several times a day from her office to her coffee maker is a true example of her pioneer spirit. In 2009, at the age of twenty-three Maisey sold her first book.
Since then it’s been a whirlwind of sexy alpha males and happily ever afters, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Maisey divides her writing time between dark, passionate category romances set just about everywhere on earth and light sexy contemporary romances set practically in her back yard.
She believes that she clearly has the best job in the world.
i needed this to push some boundaries a bit more, but i had a fun time.
Age gap, she needs to "work" her debt off to the neighbor who turns out to be the same person she's dm'ing on a BDSM app. Turns out he's just the dom she needs.
If you’re already a Maisey Yates fan please make sure you are aware that this is definitely different from her usual story line genres! At the same time it doesn’t feel like hardcore BDSM. I would have liked a little more relationship building but I also went into it knowing it’s more of a longer novella so it’s to be expected. I think that both of the main characters did have some personal growth and revelations about who they were. I found it over all to have some good heat, great descriptions of the rope tying and an HEA. Would love a “down the road epilogue”
I love this author and have read so many of her books and enjoyed them. MY writes brilliant romantic and women’s fiction - but this - well it just didn’t convince me. I found nothing romantic or erotic about this story, and I’m afraid this book just didn’t work for me. I was not convinced that control and dominance and pain are romantic.
I don’t know that I was prepared for this particular author to be so spicy but it was an interesting read. I would have preferred a bit more dialogue between the characters and less internal musings.
Fantastic read. I really enjoyed this book and the relationship build up between Avery and Caleb. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting. Definitely will be re reading this one and looking forward to the other books in this series written by different authors.
Pretty fun SPICEY little book Cowboy DOM & his new little sub sure have some building moments leading into this story ! I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys this genre ! Very nicely done by this author !
What was this?! The amount of typing errors and parts of this book that didn't make sense gave me no other option but to DNF. 2 stars because the idea was there, just not executed well. Another internet recommendation that flopped for me. 😔
If you are interested in dipping your toe in BDSM books without getting in over your head, this is a good starting point. If you read a lot of BDSM books, this might not be for you.
