When Sir is getting ready for his night with Babygirl his son happens to hear him standing in his bathroom looking in his mirror saying I love you Babygirl. He son looks at him like he has lost his mind but what do you expect from teenage boys.
Sir and Babygirl have been together for a while. They are planning their night together when Sir calls to informs Babygirl that he has car trouble and will be a little late. He had this big evening planned to tell her tonight that he "Loves her" but nothing is working out right with his car getting the flat tire and over heating. While waiting for the tow truck driver to get to him he lets it slip out and says "I love you." Babygirl is scared and not sure what to say or how to respond. As normal with Sir he takes control over the situation and tells her that he will text her as soon as the tow truck gets him and they can talk about this more when he gets to the house. Babygirl agrees and hangs up the phone. She knows she loves him too but isn't sure she is ready to tell him yet. After sitting in her living room waiting for his text she realizes that yes, she does love him too and will tell him too.
Babygirl's daughter has gotten very close to Sir as well and when she doesn't listen to her it only takes a little talking from him and she does as she is told.
When Sir does get to the house Babygirl runs to him hugs him and tells him she loves him too. They get in the house and Sir get a shower and they have their kinky time together.
Babygirl is still nervous about some stuff but knows that Sir will not do anything that will hurt her in anyway.
One day Sir calls Babygirl and tells her they are having dinner. She is instructed to read an email and do what is in the email without any questions. She gets ready but when she arrives at Sir's place she is nervous about getting out of her car.

This is the second book of short stories in The Adventures of Sir and Babygirl series. They do need to be read in order.
In the previous book, we met Jonathan (Southern Daddy) and Katie (Babygirl). Through several short stories, we learned how they met and became a couple. In Bound by Love, we have more short stories highlighting their decisions to commit to one another and how they balance their relationship with each other along with their familial relationships. Can Katie, made timid by previous hurts, admit and embrace the love being offered?
I could not put this book down. At one point, I was on the treadmill reading as I walked. I walked 25% more than usual because I was lost in the lusty, loving, emotional stories in this book. I follow Ms. Lords’ blog, so it was extra fun for me to recognize stories, educational posts, and conversations that were submitted there. I especially liked that in these stories Ms. Lords provides us with BDSM stories that are not all about the time spent with ropes and whips, but also brings to light that not everything goes right, these are real relationships with misunderstandings, mistakes, and outside stressors, but most of all there is love, honesty, and communication.
If you’ll go back, you’ll see that I gave the first book in this series four crowns. I see definite growth and refinement in this edition and I pray that she continues to provide us with stories from Sir and Babygirl…. and more. Kayla has found her groove and we are blessed to have her share their life and her imaginations with us! Thank you, Kayla!!

Finding out this series of novellas is somewhat autobiographical kind of ruined it for me, to be honest. I also prefer when sex play is equally beneficial (orgasmically) for both parties, not just one or the other. Furthermore, I'm not sure how I feel about squirting vaginas & all the mess it creates, in my romantic fiction. Works great in porn, not so much in romance, I don't think. Not a huge huge dealbreaker, but all that gushing & the constant reference to washing soiled sheets was perhaps a little TMI. I will not be reading any further.

I love Kayla Lords's podcast LovingBDSM and I've been listening to it for a couple of years now but I had no idea that she wrote books! It's a really small book but it's refreshing to see a BDSM-themed book that doesn't involve rich-ass men falling for almost minor women. It's just a small book about two normal people starting a BDSM-influenced relationship and how it evolves! I'm enjoying the series and decided to get it all on my kindle :)

One of the problems with many erotic romances is that the emphasis is on the erotic with just a bit of romance thrown in. That is definitely not the problem with Sir and Babygirl: Bound by Love by Kayla Lords. This book was a delightful romance that just happened to include some really hot, erotic sex.
Sir and Babygirl: Bound by Love is the second book detailing the relationship between Jonathan and Katie. Relationships are not always easy and require work to meld together two different lives. Work, children and everyday pressures can affect a person which then affects how they interact with their partner. Sir and Babygirl have a mutual love of kink and have built their relationship on dominance and submission which has an additional impact on their bond.
The book is a compilation of short stories featuring the two characters but the stories flow naturally together as the couple handles the grind of daily life. In fact, it was the absolute realism of the stories that drew me in. Romance novels tend to be built on fantasy but Sir and Babygirl included the same type of hassles that we deal with in the real world. Things like a flat tire, a child’s temper tantrum and clogged drains were just a few of the issues they dealt with. By working together and using the honest communication that is integral to a D/s relationship, they were able to handle any and all obstacles.
My personal favorite situation was when Sir came to Babygirl’s house for dinner, but dinner hadn’t been made because Babygirl had to deal with work, her child and a host of other problems that took precedence.As her Dominant, Sir stepped in, resolved the problem and brought peace and calm to an otherwise stressful situation. But what a pleasure to see a heroine dealing with the same issues that most of us deal with. It made these characters so real for me and I enjoyed that.
Ms. Lords created characters that were so authentic that I often forgot that I was reading about fictional people. Reading their inner dialogues as they each debated whether or not to say “I love you” was exactly what we have all gone through when deciding to make that commitment. Even before they declared their love, it was evident in the way they supported each other and took care of each other.
The writing was effortless and contributed to the realism. I found time just slipping away as I was reading as I was completely immersed in the story. The sex scenes were unbelievably hot and left me yearning for my own Sir. Ms. Lords really impressed me with her writing skills in this book.
If you haven’t read the first book in the series, I strongly recommend that you do so. While it isn’t necessary in order to follow this book, it will provide you with a better understanding of the two characters and what brought them to this point in their relationship.
My only complaint – I wanted more! More Sir and Babygirl, more sexy loving and more sweet caring. Hopefully Ms. Lords has more stories in mind for these two because I really enjoy this couple.
