Emptied: Jesus: Son of God and the Perfect Man

Rate this book
The truth that Jesus was and is fully God and yet fully man is one of the great mysteries of Christian faith. While David Tucker accepts this truth, in recent years his studies of Scripture showed that Jesus operated as a man, relying on the Father and the Holy Spirit as the sources of His strength and wisdom—just as Christ-followers are taught to do throughout the New Testament.

In Emptied, David presents the biblical evidence to support his conclusion that Jesus, the Son of God, chose to live his life on earth not in the power of His divinity but in the limitations of His humanity.

"I love Dave's insightful and provocative writing. In Emptied, Dave provides clarity to what it means that Jesus was 'fully man' without sacrificing His divine nature. The conclusions are both challenging and uplifting for the sincere Christ-follower." Pastor Dan McCandless

'In Emptied, Tucker dares to examine one of the most profound mysteries in all of the kenosis or emptying of Christ. His masterful examination leads the reader to a renewed, reverential awe of Jesus during His earthly mission." Keith Guinta, thought-provoking Christian blogger (winepatch.org)

"Dave's study of kenosis is thorough and well-presented. I didn't need to be convinced since I'm already in full agreement, but I'm excited that those who need to grasp that all Jesus has is available to them will have the opportunity to learn about this important spiritual resource." Chuck Parry, director of Bethel Healing Rooms in Redding, CA
