I'm not sure where to start. The main hero in this book is portrayed as dumber than a sack of rocks and is constantly using his daughter as a pathetic excuse to keep his promise to a woman he says he despises while hurting the one he says he loves. The best line is when.........(>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>spoiler alert)...she stabs him and he cries “Jamie?” I cry out. “What the fuck are you doing?”
Unfortunately for me I read the book completely & now I have to go erase this crazy story from my brain by reading another. The author writes angst too wonderfully.Emphasis on the "TOO"

☆☆☆☆ 4 Vision of Destiny Stars ☆☆☆☆
Vision of Destiny by S. Moose was one hell of a suspenseful emotional roller coaster full of twist and turns. Literally when you think you are gonna get the HEA, S. Moose had to drop so many bombshells of revelations that you were left speechless. And I absolutely love the craziness and excitement of that.
This book picks off right where it last left off in Vision of Love. Karly, the heroine, is devasted and heartbroken after Nicholas made a decision that affected them as a couple. Feeling helpless and alone, Karly moves away and tries to distance herself from Nicholas. Distance couldn't mend her broken heart. She was lost and ached for the love of the one man who owned her body, heart and soul but he was with someone else.
Nicholas made a choice thinking it was best for his daughter to build a relationship with Jaimie. Like Karly, Nicholas was lost and heartbroken. The only person who owned him completely was the one he let walk away. Promises and hearts were broken but Nicholas tried his hardest to win back the love and trust of Karly. As he begins to prove his love, secrets and new revelations begins to unravel. And so begins an emotional roller coaster ride filled with suspense. Can true love conquer all? Or is their love worth the risk?
Ummm...the second half of the book was crazy. And I mean that in a good way. S. Moose kept her readers on the edge and I love that. I love the unexpected. You wouldn't know where she will take us when it came to Karly and Nicholas relationship. Though this book puts you on an emotional rollercoaster, I love that it showcases the power of love and sometimes you have to fight for it. Stand your ground and make it clear that nothing and no one can stop two people who are meant to be together. S. Moose
WORST BOOK EVER! Okay, that is kind of harsh, but it is on my list "books I dreamt about to burn". The whole book was ridiculous and stupid and didn't make any sense AT ALL! No one (and I mean NO ONE) would do what Nicholas did for his ex-wife And Karly's "friends"? Yeah, they were great and super supportive! NOT!! With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Bad, horrible, bad book! I want to forget about it.
I'm not usually the type of critic who complains about editing cause I don't usually get it, but WOW, who ever edited this book did a BAD job... and kind of made the story a little annoying sometimes because of the miss tense, and misspelled words and abrupt changes of story directions. It just seemed like one moment they were on the floor, or the sofa or standing and then poof somewhere else... very weird. Not to mention how hard it was to keep track of the time span... what I thought seemed like 6-7 months pass was only like 2-3.
AS FOR THE STORY: I can't say I hated it or that I loved it, it was more then Just Okay but less then I liked it... so what ever you consider between 2 and 3 stars is what this story was...
The story of Karly and Nicholas continued in this story with the return of Nicholas' first wife... Jamie.
She obviously got jealous of the happiness Karly and Nicholas had and decided that she wanted her family back. Not knowing how to do that she decided to trick Nicholas into helping her by telling a lie. A lie so big it not only destroyed the love between Karly and Nicholas but affected their daughter Emma and a new guy in town Dr. Jensen.
What I didn't like is that Nicholas was BEYOND STUPID this time... How he could let himself get into the mess he did and HURTING Karly the way he did is beyond me. He NEVER had to do it, she couldn't do anything to him, so I never understood how Jamie talked him into going with her plan. And what he expected from Karly was UNBELIEVABLE, only a man could think that way.
I do have to give credit to their family and friends, the bullshit they went through with the drama of Karly and Nicholas break up is more then anyone could ask of someone. The support they gave those to goes BEYOND any anything anyone could do.
I spent the first 30% of this book near tears, by 68% I was just exhausted and exasperated. I like a book to have that steady emotional build up that a relatively straight line, with this one, there were multiple loops on this emotional roller coaster. Super drama, like soap opera twisted drama. I literally slapped myself in the forehead. This book is so emotionally draining, I have whiplash. I can't decide if I want to beat Nicholas or hug him for his misguided attempt to be a good dad. He goes from being sweet and loving to completely batshit crazy stalker in 0.3 seconds flat. Oh my geeez, can she grow a pair?!? How many spa days can a girl possibly take during 9 months of pregnancy, I gave up count. And yet I cannot stop reading this train wreck. I am shaking my head at this book and myself.
First of all if you haven't read Vision of Love you are missing out on the start of an amazing story. So purchase it from your retailer of choice and prepare for Nicholas and Karly.
Okay on to the review
To say I was anxiously anticipating the release of Vision of Destiny is an understatement and a half.
At the end of Vision of Love S. Moose completely ripped my heart out and left me with some questions... lots of questions. My heart felt broken for days after I finished Vision of Love.
Vision of Destiny picks up right where Vision of Love leaves off. Nicholas just chose his ex-wife Jamie over Karly and we have absolutely no idea why. Needless to say Karly is devastated, betrayed and completely broken hearted. She saw a forever with Nicholas and his daughter Emma and it was ripped away in the blink of an eye.
When Nicholas chose Jamie over Karly I was screaming and crying. I knew Jamie had to have something over Nicholas to make him hurt Karly the way he did, and boy what a reason it was. I couldn't help but love Nicholas even more for the reason why he did it.
So, while he, Jamie and Emma are living the life Karly saw herself living she does what anyone would do... she moves on with a man named Jensen. Jensen is sweet and he cares about Karly.
Nicholas and Karly continue to be drawn to each other and Nicholas slowly starts to share details with Karly. But the road back to their happily ever after won't be easy. Nicholas is hiding something and something big, but he is not the only one with a secret. Jamie has some too and when the secrets come out everything becomes clear.
To say this story wasn't full of twists, turns, and jaw dropping moments would be a complete lie. S. Moose takes us on a journey that is for sure! The emotion spills from the page. You feel the pain and heartache that both Nicholas and Karly are feeling. You feel hate, yes I said it hate for Jamie. She is a vindictive biatch read the book you will see why. I cried so much. My heart got ripped out of my chest multiple times but in the end S. Moose put it back it, closed up my wound and slapped a band-aid over it.
Now, I knew going in Vision of Destiny, I certainly wasn't going to fall back in love with Nicholas. His decision in book one was enough to make me want to commit fake murder or at least de-ball him maybe.....
I loved the rush and the back and forth of Nicholas and Karly. I never believed Jensen or even felt like he was just a character. (but that was my doing for starting on book 3 first) Although, him, I actually liked. More like felt for. He really wasn't the bad guy here.
Stupid Jamie was. UGH....I do sort of get her reasoning but her excuse to Nicholas was really overboard and the big dummy just took her for her word. At this point, I wanted Karly to run away with Emma and live happy without Nicholas.
Nicholas, he was what drove my rating. His wishy washy- back and forth- negative pull with Karly only made it worse. I would have been OKAY with this story if the reason behind Jamie and Nicholas had been real and her not portrayed as a terrible person in the beginning. But with all her past flaws her pushy storyline just made me hate the story.

Vision of Destiny is a continuation of the story that began in Vision of Love. When "Love" ended, Nicholas had broken up with Karly to get back together with Emma's mother, Jamie. It was obvious to everyone, both characters and readers, that something strange was going on there, but no one was doing any explaining. That was because Jamie had asked Nicholas not to, and he agreed. This did not endear me Nicholas AT ALL. As much as he claims to love Karly, and insists how Karly has changed him and his perceptions of love and forever, he "picked" Jamie and her feelings over Karly and hers. Jamie continues to be a weak spot for him. The best way to explain the dynamic between Nicholas and Jamie is toxic. In "Love", we learned that Jamie didn't want to have a child, and left Nicholas and Emma right after Emma's birth. Nicholas followed Jamie and they developed an odd arrangement, living together, sleeping in the same bed, and slaking each other's sexual needs, all under the guise of being together as a family for Emma's benefit. Eventually Jamie decides she wants to be a model and leaves them again. This is when Nicholas and Emma return to North Carolina, and they meet Karly. At the very least, Karly deserved to know why he took Jamie back. Respect Jamie's request and keep it from everyone else, fine (though again, that seems an odd request), but he should have insisted that he be able to tell Karly. He didn't, and that is where he lost me. Karly is devastated and brutalized by feelings of abandonment, and feeling like she was only a placeholder until Jamie decided to take her family back. The nightmares of her past at her father's hands, which had ceased with Nicholas's presence in her life, now come back, but with Nicholas as their star. Given Nicholas's lack of respect for her and the love they supposedly share, it's no wonder.
Without giving any spoilers (because a good portion of the book passes before you find out exactly what's going on), Jamie was, and continues to be, all about Jamie. The reader can gather what is going on with her before the situation is actually spelled out for us, but you still have the feeling that something is fishy. Despite the way she presents herself to Nicholas, she is a master at manipulating him, whether through simple statements meant to draw pity, or tears and arguments. The situation Nicholas and Jamie have put themselves in in "Destiny" is, again, supposedly for Emma's benefit. I don't think either of these people would know what was good for Emma if they got hit over the head with it. I think removing Karly from Emma's life and suddenly thrusting Jamie back into it, in a role she hasn't played in some time, and, quite honestly, never played as well or as honestly as Karly did, was more harmful to Emma. Why no one else in Nicholas's family stepped in and called bullshit was mind-boggling to me. Supporting a loved one and their choices is one thing, but at no time did anyone voice their concerns over what this drastic change would do to Emma, and they were all present to see the damage Jamie was capable of when she left Nicholas and Emma the first time. But I think if I am to learn anything from this book, it is that life is messy and complicated, and things are very rarely black and white.
The author does a really good job at making the reader feel things, both good and bad. I did have to put the book down in places out of frustration, but it was frustration with the actions of the characters, not with her writing style. She provokes strong emotions within the reader (like wanting to knock some sense into Nicholas, and just knock Jamie period) and it takes talent and skill to grab readers enough to generate these kinds of visceral reactions. I give this book 3 fangs, and recommend it to readers of the first book, but also recommend the series to fans of New Adult.
After finishing Vision of Love, I was DYING for Vision of Destiny, and let me tell you, this book does not disappoint!
When Nicholas' ex-wife, Jamie, comes back into his life unexpectedly, Karly is forced to give up the one person who made her feel whole again. My heart ached for her as the pages turned, but as much as Karly hated Nicholas for taking Jamie back, deep down she still loved him wholeheartedly.
Nicholas is torn between being with the woman he loves and helping the mother of his child. When Jamie drops a bomb on him, he has no choice but to stand by her side and give her the life and family she never had. But all is not what it seems, and Jamie only continues to cause him more heartache.
Without Nicholas, Karly's world comes to a stuttering halt, and though she tries to move on with Jensen, her heart still belongs to another. But will she ever be able to trust in Nicholas' judgement and believe that one day everything will be alright? Or will she be forced to stand by and watch Jamie steal her an entire reason for breathing?
This book threw my emotions through the wringer and at times I really wanted to strangle Nicholas and make him open his eyes to what was going on around him, but that's what I love about S. Moose's writing. She makes these characters feel so real and tangible, that it's almost as if they are standing right there in the room with you. If you haven't read Vision of Love, it's a must, and Vision of Destiny is even better!
For some reason, I couldn't go back to Nicholas. I found him irritating and obsessive. It wasn't fair for him to be married, and expect her to be single until "he's ready". I just couldn't like him after the first book. This was well written, but I almost wish she found someone else.
This was an utter cluster F*£k or doormatness. This is totally unforgivable, Karly, doormat all day everyday. Shes lovable and I understand the need for her to feel loved and be loved but she went above and beyond doormatness. Yes she in a teensy wincy part of this book had a backbone but that was 1% of 100. Karly is very forgivable. Don't get me started with Nicholas. I admired his selflessness in sacrificing his happiness in regards to his daughter but he is a walking twatface.
How do you promise to love someone forever, to be there forever..always forever.FOREVER.There's the word again, forever. Do I need to define what forever is because I'm telling you Nicholas does not know the meaning of such word.
I almost called this book a quit I just couldn't stand Nicholas, how dare he?
She misses me? if she misses me, why isn't she here, winning me back
Are you kidding me! Are you F kidding me.How F^%&*ng dare he. You sent her packing you twatface. You completely obliterated her, without warning given his knowledge of her past. Karly's pain, unbearable. All she wants is to be loved.Unfortunately stumbling on Nicholas.Yes, unfortunate.
I enjoyed reading his suffering he deserved it.He did that to himself, weakling, although Jamie was the catalyst, a man in love would not have made the choice he made. It's his fault, only he to blame. The reason for why he did what he did was not believable. Sometimes I think he deserved not to love, or to be loved by another woman because all I read in this book is the choice he made, the pain, the destruction.
Please, I need this.I need this moment with you.You owe me this. She owes you nothing. Nicholas, you complete joke. After she gave everything of herself to you on a golden plate, you deserve nothing.
Break up with Jensen and wait for me Eurghhh Nicholas, you on crack or something, are you serious.
I've vented too much so if your prepared for a mind F*$& of frustration, doormatness and stupidity I'll recommend this book. Because yes, you really will be frustrated.
The heart wants what it wants even if you have to be a doormat.
I don't know what was going on with this book but it was nothing but a pity party. Karly and Nicholas are broken up since he went back to his ex wife. Seriously this book was nothing but crying and sobbing about each other. So depressing and I can understand it for a little while but it pretty much was for the whole entire book. Plus with Nicholas catering to his now "wife" and dropping Karly the minute Jamie calls was beyond enough. Karly needed to get a back bone and stand up for herself instead of being a stupid, dumb blonde doormat. Also this book had so many things wrong. At one point Nicholas was so mad that he threw his phone at the wall and it busted in pieces and yet seconds later he is texting Karly?????? Hello you just happen to have an extra phone on you? The way the author would jump from scene to scene didn't really flow. You can't be describing something and then the next sentence they are in a totally different situation and place with no explanation. Very disappointing and one of the least enjoyable books I have read in a long time.
Let me start by saying there were parts of this story that I really loved and parts that I hated. The overall storyline wasn't bad but the events and hosd they unfold weren't cohesive. The story just floe very well for me. I loved Nicolas and Karley together, the pull they had to one can other and the moments they shared were beautiful. The part I hated was that to love someone that much and then let someone else have so much control over you that you repeatedly hurt the one you love didn't fit. I just felt the story didn't make a lot if sense for Nicolas to be such a smart and educated man he made a lot if terrible choices. I truly loved the first book in thus series but I was a little disappointed with thus one, I expected more from Nicolas, to see him fight for Karley and not let his ex manipulate him. I need like the end of this book and hiuw everything turned out.
Vision of Destiny starts right where Vision of Love left off. As soon as it starts I was bawling my eyes out. Through this whole book so had tears.
Karly left and you can't blame her really. She does everything she can think of to get over Nicolas but nothing works. Can't just wish away true love.
Nicolas does everything he can to make sure Karly is okay and to let her know he still loves her.
Finally they talk and find their way back to each other but not after a lot and I mean a lot of tears, heartache and drinking. As all this is going on we are all wondering what Ian Jamie really up to. And finally we find out and you will never guess what her reason was and what she does at the end.
In all this book as as good maybe even a little better then the first. Can't wait to see is to come in Jensen's book, which I'm diving into next.
This book was horrible! I only read it because Book 1 ended in a cliffhanger.
What was Nicholas thinking bringing back his "dying" wife? Who would do such a thing to their poor daughter? Emma was left high and dry by her mom, then met someone to fill the void only to have her father push her away to bring her 'real' mother back so she could have her dying wish to live as a family? Who does that to a child!? I was ready to call child services!
The immature banter grew very tiring. Who loved who more, who couldn't live without the other, who couldn't trust.....endless! I had to skim towards the end because it was so agonizing.
I almost didn't want to tag this as having "spoilers" because I feel bad for anyone who reads Book 2. Don't waste your time.
No more S. Moose books for me!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Wow there are no words for this book Dumb dumb dumb Why Nicholas doesn't tell Karly the truth about why Jamie is back in his life is stupid. The reason was noble (even though it turned out to be a lie) - Karly would have understood but instead he lies and expects here to wait? without an explanation? The whole thing with Jenson is so confusing. This series should have been written in reverse order. This book should have been written as Book 1 and Vision of Hope should have been written as book 2. That would have made Vision of Hope that much more barable. Very sloppy writing and such a disappointment.
I started off with What an Ending because even though I loved the whole book, I have to say the end of Karly and Nicholas' story is probably one of my FAVORITE! Usually you can kinda picture what's going to happen throughout some books especially the ending, but S. Moose threw in so many plot twists it was not possible to predict. Just when you thought you have the story figured out, something new comes to light. Karly, Nicholas and Emma (and Nugget lol) have an indescribable, roller coaster story with lots of bumps and twists but amazing!!
These pathetic characters were too much. I gave book one 3 stars and honestly it was only because I finished. This book was never ending lines of contradiction. “ I love her so much but I promised my wife”. “ Please don’t leave me I love you so much”. This is from the pathetic doormat h. There was not one charter I liked not even the 4 year old. If you like a pathetic h and a stupid H this is for you.
This book is full of outrageous drama. It almost felt like watching an episode of a soap opera. I felt so bad for Karly, all she wanted was for Nicholas to put her first. Nicholas needed to get his priorities straight.
Book 2 made me cry a lot! Unbelievable all the hurt and love❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Just to be sure you need to read this final story of karly and nicholas😘 You will not be disappointed😉
Well where do I even begin to explain all the emotional up and downs this book brings on. Talk about a relationship roller coaster!!!!
Vision of Destiny is book two in the Infinity Series by S. Moose. This book starts up right where Vision of Love (Book 1) ends. We were left with ONE major question at the end of book one and I will say that we do get the answer to the question, but it takes some time to get the full story. This book was full of twists and turns and some shocking developments. I read this book in less then a day, because I couldn't put it down. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough either…I needed to know what was going to happen. Now I know anyone who read book 1 is probably wondering if everything works out for Karly and Nicholas and if they get their HEA….well I am not going to spoil that, you will just have to read the story.
I honestly thought this book was even better than book 1. The flow and pacing of the book was great. In book 1 I thought there was a lot of jumping around and unfinished scenes, but this book was completely different. There wasn't any time that I got confused or felt like I lost time or that things were left unfinished. I truly believe S. Moose's writing gets better with every book she releases. I felt she gave an accurate portrayal of the hardships some relationships go through. Love isn't always easy and the road is usually pretty bumpy, but if you believe in true love and have trust and faith in your partner, you can believe that everything will work out for the best in the end. My only reason that I didn't give this a complete 5 stars was because I thought we were left waiting for the BIG answer for to long. I was hoping it would've come out sooner and I also wanted to smack Nicholas towards the end….His crazy connection to Jamie was starting to grate on my nerves by the end. But as you can see I still truly enjoyed this story!!!
I loved that we got to see some new characters and the old ones. We get to see a wonderful side to Bradley. He truly was a great friend to Karly and I loved the direction the author took his character. Lexi and Larry were tremendous friends to both Karly and Nicholas. I loved that they stuck by Karly through the whole mess. They are friends everyone wished they had. We get to meet Jensen in this book. I am not going to talk about him….you need to meet him all by yourself to truly appreciate his character. (I will say I am looking forward to his book ;) ) Emma was still the adorable little girl she was in book 1. My heart broke for her so many times. No little girl should have to go through what she went through with her mom (Jamie)
If you are a fan of S. Moose or have read Vision of Love, then you don't want to miss this book!!!
Vision of Destiny is the second book in the Infinity series. It is not a standalone you need to read Vision of Love first. It is the end of Karly and Nicholas's journey and boy oh boy what a roller coaster ride it was! I was so excited to finally get my hands on this book, the anticipation and the cliffhanger ending of Vision of Love about broke my heart. I am so happy with the outcome and ending of this series and I would rate it a 4 star! I have already recommended this series to some many and will continue recommending to even more.
Karly and Nicholas had a beautiful journey in Vision Of Love until Jamie comes back in the picture and it will destroy everything Nicholas and Karly have made of there lives. Vision of Destiny will pick up right where the cliff hanger left us. Nicholas chooses Jamie and everyone wants to kill him for his choice, but he is doing what he feels is best for his daughter.. even if that means destroying him and Karly's lives.
Karly struggles everyday trying to figure out what went wrong and where she can fix things so she can win her family back... she just doesn't realize how deep Nicholas is in this with Jamie so all her attempts are for nothing and he left her damaged and broken.
I miss him. I want him. I need to feel his arms around me. I need to hear him tell me he loves me. I want it all again, but the damage is already done. I'm alone.-- KARLY
Nicholas is starting to realize that maybe he made a mistake letting Karly goes especially when he see's her with another man... but he made his choice.. but he is determined to get her back even if its far down the road.. Karly is his...but he soon realizes that maybe he did loose her forever.
I'm never going to love again. When you find the one you want to spend your life with, no one else matters. But life isn't always that easy. The wedges in between destroy your path and put roadblocks along the way. Jamie's my roadblock. I can only hope once things are better, I'll go back to her and we'll have our forever.-- NICHOLAS
When Karly and Nicholas start seeing more of each other they realize they can't stay away and give in to the temptation of each other... but that will come with consequences... with tragedy and twists and turns, unraveling secrets pieces will fall into place and you will get an outcome I never expected.. but will Nicholas and Karly ever get there HEA.. they destiny they were meant to have?
GO pick up this series like yesterday! You will fall in love with these characters.. and the sexy scenes are really off the charts.. make sure you leave reviews and share you love of these books with others! S. Moose thank you sooo much for this story and I look forward to so much more in the future.
Vision of Destiny ends where Vision of Love ends. Karly is heartbroken over the decisions that Nicholas has made. She has been made to feel all her life that she is not worthy of love and this just reaffirms it in her mind. She has had everything taken away from her including Emma. She's moved away to try to recover and finds that no amount of distance can heal her broken soul.
"Our relationship started and ended fast. I don't want him to leave. I want him to stay and fight for me because he's everything I wanted in a lover, best friend, a soul mate, and a forever."
Nicholas has made a decision that could risk his forever happiness. Jamie has come back into his life for reasons explained later on in the book and he feels that he needs to continue on this this path for the sake of his daughter, Emma. He doesn't want to lose Karly and still loves her with all his heart but feels helpless and has no choice in the matter.
"Watching her walk out the door, turning her back on me, puts me in a place where my mistakes crawl like a hunger and leave me broken. Little by little, I'm dying inside"
When Karly sees that distance is not helping, she comes back home to be with her loved ones. Once she realizes she may have lost Nicholas forever through his secrecy and choices, she tries to move on when she bumps (literally) into sexy hot Jensen. This sends Nicholas into a tail spin and he gets all sexy alpha. He continues to contact Karly and they find that they cannot stay away from one another. That's when all hell breaks loose......
"My heart and soul are in her hands, and I don't want them back until she's back in my life"
The second half of the book moves a little faster once things gets a poppin. There are a bunch of "WTF" and "Holy Crap" and "Are You Kidding Me?" moments that leave you with your jaw left hanging open in shock or wanting to throw your kindle across the room in anger on behalf of Karly. A lot gets explained, even though you know from the beginning that Nicholas is frustrated with the situation and wouldn't have left her if he'd had any other choice. You also see that Jamie is like 20 shades of crazy . . . again not a shock.
It was well written and I love seeing the relationship of the characters develop throughout. Emma's bond with Karly is beautiful, innocent and so heartwarming. Probably my favorite in the whole series. I also love how Lexi and Larry rally to pick Karly up when the pieces continually fall apart. I definitely want more of Jensen too . . . I hear of him possibly getting his own book. This makes me happy!
"When you find the one you want to spend your life with, no ones else matters"
All in all, if you enjoyed Vision of Love you'll also love Vision of Destiny. A great emotional story of how love can conquer all.
✩★✩★✩5-Heartbreaking Stars✩★✩★✩ ✩ ARC gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review✩
The story starts off with Karly sitting in her car looking at the place she called home while her and Nick were still together...during their happy times. Well, up until it was ruined by Jamie, Nick's ex. I was just at the first page and it already made me feel like I just literally crawled into my iPad and made me feel like I was in Karly's shoes. The heartbreak he caused her was so realistic that it had me bawling.
Karly was left with a broken-heart. Not knowing what the hell just happened or what went wrong. they were so happy and in love, but as soon as Emma's mother showed up at Nick's doorstep...all hell broke loose. I felt so emotionally drained for Karly. The hurt that just would not stop was slowly killing her. She wants to hate him so bad, but to her, a promise is a promise. She made a promise to Nick that it's them FOREVER and ALWAYS.
Nick's ex-wife shows up in his door step and leaves him with no choice but for help Jamie. She's so desperate that she will stop at nothing to get what she wants from Nick. She drops the bomb on him that will change everyone's lives, especially Emma and Karly. It kills him to give in to Jamie, to break one's heart just so he could help Jamie, whose done nothing but break his heart, including Emma's. Karly tried to move on without Nick in he life. She met Jensen and she tried her best to move forward with him. BUT the world just seemed to stop without Nick by her side. Everything she did and everywhere she went, Nick is everywhere. She knew something was off about Jamie the psycho ex-wife.
This was one hell of a ride like literally. The chaotic life, both Karly and Nick had was one I do not wish to be in. No matter how the life they were both dealt with, they just can't seem to let go of each other. The crazy, mad love, they both have for each other was something I will never forget. I LOVE YOU MOOSE! (winks)
After having my heart shredded at the end of Vision Of Love , I impatiently waited for the conclusion of Nicholas and Karly's story. I knew it was going to be full of heartache and drama , not to mention frustration as a reader because you want to know and think you know but really nobody is saying why the heck Jamie is back !! Damn people and their keeping others secrets ! This story is a huge rollercoaster of emotion and everyone is struggling with Nicholas' choices , and I mean everyone. There is not a friend or family member in this tight knit group that isn't affected by the choices he made.
Jamie comes back at the end of book 1 and she needs help. Something is going on and she is begging Nicholas for time to re-connect with Emma and be a family. There is a huge missing piece to the puzzle but for some reason Nicholas chooses to accept Jamie back into their lives and let go of Karly. Well here we are in the aftermath and it is obvious Nicholas wants his cake and to eat it too ! There is nothing romantic or loving going on with him and Jamie and he most certainly is not letting Karly go. Matter of fact he is torturing Karly because he cannot let her go and wants her to wait but yet cannot tell her what the hell he is doing !! Poor Emma is acting out , Karly is having a breakdown , Nicholas is drinking and acting like you have never seen before. He is jealous , immature , mean and just all over the place. Gone is the genuine wonderful father/boyfriend we grew to love. After staying away from town for a bit Karly decides to come back and move in with Lexi and Larry. All this does is cause more drama !! If you do not like the constant issues and angst then this book is not for you !! If you were invested in Nicholas and Karly from book 1 then you definitely need to read this and see how it plays out. At one point it becomes clear what Jamie has going on and what her intentions are. Karly has found a new friend in Jensen and certain things unfold and there is more heartbreak for the gang. WARNING , there is a major twist/event at the end and thankfully we get that sweet epilogue because I would not have survived that cliffy !! A little lead in to the next book about Jensen and there you have it !!
Once again I enjoyed this story , love this author her books are easy to read , the story always flows and there is always enough heartache and angst to make me want to bang my head against a wall or beat the crap out of the characters !! That is what great books are made of for me !!
"Life isn't that easy. I vow to myself that life is too short. So I'm going to live it up and dance - dance like I've never danced before. That's my promise to myself. A promise I won't break." ~ Karly
In Vision of Destiny we pick up right where we left off in Vision of Love. Nicholas is with Jamie, refusing to tell everyone why, but knowing his heart still belongs with Karly. Karly is trying to deal with the fact that her life that she had grown to love has taken a drastic change and her heart is in a million pieces. Not only does she long to be with Nicholas, but she desperately misses Emma.
I can say that I fell in love with this couple in Vision of Love and could not wait to get the chance to read and review Vision of Destiny. I hated that when I finished the first book that it felt that my heart had been ripped out of my chest and I had to wait for the next chapter..aka.. book to come out so that I could try top piece it back together. Well, let me just say.. S.Moose, you had me setting with a box of kleenex reading this book. I felt as if my heart was right there with Karly for every tear that she cried I think I had to try and match her. This book pulled at emotions that I did not want to reveal. It has been awhile since a book grabbed a hold of me and would not let go. This one was one of those. I got so involved with reading this book that I stayed up almost all night reading and finishing it. I refused to put it down until I could see what happened with Nicholas and Karly.
I will say that they way that S. Moose wrote this book she will keep you on your toes wanting to find out what will happen next. The roller coaster ride that you get on for this book will have you so emotionally tensed up that you will want to scream out in frustration, but that is not a bad thing, because we all know that if a book pulls you into the story so far that you feel the emotions of the characters then the author as done their job of giving us the ultimate gift. I will say that the twist and spins that she puts into this books will have you saying I so did not see that coming, or NO NO NO this can not be happening.
Again I loved this books and I am sure that you will too!!!!!
Wow. Just wow! The emotional roller coaster that Karly Erikson is put through in this book is heartbreaking! The last chapter will have you gasping for air as you wait for the final blow of the reality of what has happened comes out.
We come back to Karly, Nicholas, Emma, Lexi, Larry, and Bradley in Vision of Destiny. Completely heartbroken, and giving up on her one true love that she had finally opened up to, Karly flees from her home in Wilmington to Myrtle Beach. There, she meets her new friend, Jana. Jana seems to be a breath of fresh air for Karly. Jana doesn't appear too much in the story, but is there enough that she plays a large part in Karly going back to find Nicholas, her one true love.
When Karly comes back to Wilmington, she isn't prepared for the emotional ride that Nicholas is about to put her on. It isn't only Nicholas who has plans to ruin her once perfect life; his ex-wife (soon to be wife again) has come to him with a problem that only he can fix. I loved the fact that S.Moose kept the reason why Jaime was back a complete secret until about the middle of the book. When it is finally leaked why she is back - reason number one - it is shocking, and will leave you staring at your book, or your Kindle in amazement.
When Jaime finally releases why she is back, it will have both the reader, and the characters in the book completely, 100% shocked. The first reason she gives is an easy one to guess, and I thought it would end with everyone's final, horrid wish coming true. But, the truth goes so much deeper than that! The lies, realizations, and issues that surround both the Hayes family (Nicholas, Jaime, and Emma) and Karly is just outstanding. Very well written, and put into play for the second book in the series.
I loved that S.Moose brought Karly, and Nicholas back to their messed up reality. The plot twist in this book will have you staying up well past midnight, gripping your Kindle, wanting to throw it across the room, and then breaking down horribly when a wave of relief hits you. It is one emotional read that you need to focus on, and spend time with.
