All this time: A Hades and Persephone Retelling

Rate this book
Can anything prosper in the underworld?

While following the myth of Hades and Persephone, this retelling lets you follow along on their journey from abduction to a marriage that would change the world forever.

“She would soon see for herself how desperation and horror could destroy an entire world.”

Hades has only known darkness in his life, first as a prisoner inside his father and when freed as the ruler of the underworld. So, when he finds what he has longed for all his life in the goddess of spring he decides to take her as his wife.

Forced into a marriage and a life she does not want, Persephone despises Hades for what he has done. And no matter how hard he tries she refuses to forget her mother and the world she has left behind.

Demeter, beyond herself with grief, is searching the world for her daughter.
And with no one willing to help her she soon has nothing to lose.

This is a dark story but not a dark romance, and while it touches on heavier subjects, it will end in a HEA. No matter how far away it might seem at times.

I loved the storyline about Hades and Persephone. Even if I knew the myth before, I was still surprised by some of it and my heart started rasing when he took her. Hades is written in a way that he can do anything and I will justify it. I guess I have Stockholm syndrome now. Welcome to the club.
