I've just finished this nice little local history book and feel pleased that I read it as I have a better appreciation of my town and its history. the writing style is plain and easy going, personal and warm. His characters are lifelike and you feel you know them, as you you do the author as he writes as if he's invited you into his lounge room for a coffee and a chat. It's a keeper!
