This started out OK then bogged down. Left it for a bit and came back to read it single chapter at a time style.
The plot: Fenston is introduced to Donnellen by Yvette to escort Lee to a sanitarium. Is that the real plot or does Fenston have other ideas that involve the million dollar inheritance coming to Lee in a very short time?
Definitely in the noir genre with the characters tough-guy P.I. Donnellen, blonde bombshell Yvette, Uncle Fenston and his neice, dark haired alcoholic Lee. Told from the perspective of Donnellen, with descriptive text to help set the scene and described the action building up to the climax and then the denoument.
