>>Link to my review of Scorned | Jealousy | Austin<<
4.5 I-MISSED-YOU STARS!

"I want you. I need you so much. My Jules. My Juliette."

Should Dylan be forgiven? Or is it just too late? However, the real question is whether Jules is ready to forgive and move on.

Dylan spent the first two installments regretting, but in this installment, he is determined to show Jules that he deserves a second chance.
"Destiny brought us back together and I'm willing to put myself out there for you. I need you to know that I love you. I never stopped. I hurt you, but I love you, Jules. I'm sorry for the pain I caused."
While Dylan is working for the second chance, Jules also changes. She realizes that she wasn't the only one that was hurt by their breakup.
"...I never considered the fact that maybe you were feeling the same way I was. So much pain. The difference is that I did hate you, but I think you hated yourself more."
After so much heartbreak and drama, will Jules and Dylan finally get their happy ever after? Or will the love that seemed meant to be, end up in two directions once again?

Me when I started the installment:

Me while reading:

Me when I finished:

I read the Austin ending first because I knew that I wouldn't be able to read it after I read the Dylan ending. Boooyyy, was I right. I fell in love with Dylan over and over again throughout this installment. I was all over the place while reading it and especially when I got to the scene six years ago.... The simple question that started everything. I regret not discovering this series earlier. It was simply just amazing.

Skimmed to get to the end...just lost interest and this is who I wanted the h to end up with. This could have been 4 stars if the author had spent more time building up to her “pick an ending” finale. I’ll read Austin’s soon...I still pick Dylan for this h...but I’d definitely take Austin off her hands.

I chose to read both Austin and Dylan and saving Dylan for last. I wanted to savor him and enjoy him like Jules does. Dylan is not your first choice for Jules and perhaps not even a close second. He is however, her forever. That was never in question throughout Scorned and Jealousy. Dylan messed up, Dylan IS messed up and cannot make up for the past. But in his story we learn that Dylan has accepted his responsibility, we also learn that he never quite let go of Juliette and their life. He has suffered, albeit differently than Jules, he has put himself through the ringer.

I loved the alpha-like ways of Dylan. His unwillingness to simply walk away. His selfishness for what he believes they both want and deserve. I loved the version of Juliette/Jules with Dylan He brings out the darkness and vulnerability of her and for that he makes her whole. Life isn't sunshine and roses for Dylan or Jules, it is their own version of perfect.

The sexual tension between these two characters is amazing and SL Scott gives us insight to their first encounter, 6 years earlier. It is that moment that defines them. Dylan will stop at nothing to have the woman he wants. Dylan, imperfectly perfect and for that I will remain #TeamDylan

I chose to read both Austin and Dylan endings but I read Austin first because he is who I chose for Jules. However, after reading Dylan's ending I think his ending was better. It was more in depth and we know more about Dylan than we ever did about Austin. I think that is because the first two books focused on their breakup and heartbreak, we didn't have any back story on Austin until his book. So, in that way Dylan's ending made more sense even though I hated him and didn't think he was redeemable. In the end, he was and is her forever.

I enjoyed this book and the story and still don't know who Jules needs to choose! I hated Dylan from what he's done to her but I feel sorry for him and understand why this book ended the way it did. You never forget your first true love and when that love dissapears and comes back after you have been hurt so bad! what do you do? give a second chance and see where it goes? if you don't, you'll always wonder if you could make it work. but that's a choice you'll have to make for your own. I don't know what I would do. risk your heart yet again or not. it all comes down to how much you want it and the love you feel.

I loved the first book and waited for a good Dylan's redemption, but........ No no I don't like him, I didn' t buy him.

I chose that end because let's face it. My heart is with Dylan! Their story was just what I expected it to be - touching and warming. Maybe some time later I'll read Austin but not now. I got my HEA and don't want to shade it with another ending.

1 Woman 2 Endings – You Choose – Team Dylan or

Team Austin. Sept 29 read one or both to see how it all plays out.

Four years ago, I was tempted with money, prestige, and power by a woman who offered to give me the world. That lifestyle came with a price. I had to leave the love of my life—the one person who had already given me everything I would ever need.

Today I watch Jules Weston in another man’s arms. Wanting… needing her back in my life again. But there are obstacles that keep us apart. Her boyfriend. Her best friend. Her anger that has raged inside her over the years.

Despite those, I’ve returned to take back what’s mine. The one thing I regret leaving behind—her heart.

Ever

since that fateful day, I became an expert at avoidance.

Avoiding attachments.

Avoiding relationships. Avoiding love.

My

company became my constant, the only companion I needed… until a chance

encounter with Jules Weston. I met her at a most vulnerable moment. Despite the

tears that streaked her face, I fell in love the first time I ever laid eyes on

her. I needed her in my life.

She was broken, but I knew I could heal her. I would wait until

she let me into her heart, allowing me to love her. And maybe, just maybe, one

day she could heal me too.

We shared a love that regulated every heartbeat and every breath we took. It was all encompassing. I thought our love could withstand time and anything thrown our way.

I was wrong. So wrong.

I used to be happy. I used to be Juliette Weston when Dylan Somers filled my life with promises of love and a happy ever after. But when he took my heart and broke it into a million pieces, I became someone else entirely. In one afternoon, I lost my soul mate. I lost everything I knew myself to be.

Three years later, the man who destroyed me is back.

To assuage his guilt? To finish the job? It doesn’t matter… I won’t let him this time. I’m stronger. I’ve moved on. He won’t affect me.

This is a story of love and betrayal. Pain and loss. Happiness and fate. It’s about finding your true destiny.

This is our story.

And it’s not for the faint of heart.

Wow… wow the H is unfaithful, gaslighting and narcissistic and then h apologizes to him for “ not fighting for the relationship “. Are you for real. I love the first book and beginning of this one but when she started lying to her boyfriend and being unfaithful with the ex that abandoned her for OW … that was something else.

**Warning: This is the fourth book in the From the Inside Out series. You must read Scorned (Book 1) and Jealousy (Book 2) before you can choose to read either Austin or Dylan. You do not have to read Austin before Dylan. This review may contain slight spoilers for books 1 and 2**

This whole serial has been one of the best rollercoasters. In Scorned, I was torn between Dylan and Austin. By the end of Jealousy, I was leaning more towards Dylan. So, when it came time to read Dylan and Austin, I figured I would read Austin first and save the better one for last. What I didn’t account for was Austin completely stealing my heart. He snuck up on me for sure. I was not expecting all the swooning and sighing and giggling that I did while reading and even hours after finishing the book. All this made me extra nervous about Dylan. Would he be able to surpass Austin? Better yet, did I want him to?

“I’m not sorry for loving you. I’m not sorry for handing my heart over for you to crush this time. I’m not sorry that you’re standing here right now because I made you think twice about me and I made you question what you want for you. I’m sorry for so many other things, but I’m just not fucking sorry at all for any of that.”

From the first two books, we can’t deny that Dylan and Jules have chemistry. Scorned had me thinking that he would have to work reallyyy hard for a second chance with Jules. But, Jealousy had me falling more and more in love with him. I’m not going to lie. There were some parts through the series where I was just like don’t be with either of them! But, with that freaking cliffy ending for Jealousy, I couldn’t help but thinking I was all but lost to Dylan.

“If I could take everything back and do it over, I would. Believe me when I tell you that every great memory I have as an adult includes you. You are the best part of me in every sense. Please forgive me. Please love me again, Jules.”

Dylan was painful. In all the right ways. Not only does Jules have to deal with choosing Dylan or Austin, she has to figure out if she can put her heart in Dylan’s hands again after he shattered it all those years ago. It was angsty. It was sexy. It was romantic. It was pure torture. And I loved every single second of it. Actually, I felt like this one validated all the sweet suffering we went through on this emotional journey with Jules, Austin, and Dylan. This ending was just as equally perfect as the Austin and Jules’ ending. They were both amazing in different ways and they both suited the couple. This was so sweet though. And the very, very, very last scene?! KILLED ME! It was too adorable, and I can’t say what it was, obviously. But, the whole ride is worth it.

“One day you’ll forget all the bad and remember only the good. I’ll give you that. You deserve to remember only happiness. You deserve to have beautiful memories of our life together.”
“Our life together has always been beautiful. It’s the times without you that are painful.”

Dylan is the third part of S.L. Scott's From the Inside Out series, and takes place after Scorned and Jealousy. This should only be read after you have read the previous two books. I love the idea of this series and how S.L. Scott has given us two different endings. You can choose your side whether you are Austin or Dylan and read either of them or both. For me, despite me having a clear choice of who I believe is best for Jules I have to read both stories to see what happens! I have this need to see not only every possibility, but also how S.L. Scott weaves these stories together and how things play out. I highly recommend this series, and anything by S.L. Scott as I love her writing style and everything that I have read by her.

Four Years ago, Dylan made the biggest mistake of his life when he left Juliette. He had been tempted by a woman who offered him money and power and the promise of a successful future. But having lived the last several years without Juliette by his side, he realized that she meant more than any of that ever could and he is determined to get her back. Jules has now started to move on though and has been seeing Austin. Dylan refuses to give up easily though and will do whatever it takes to show Jules that he is the guy for her. It won't be easy to earn back her trust and get her to take another chance on a relationship with Dylan, but he won't let anything stop him from winning back his girl.

I really can't say much about this installment without giving anything away other than it was brilliant. I loved every bit of it , and I really enjoyed getting to see more of Dylan. I thought that this installment did a great job of letting us see who he was and who he had become, and it showed just how much he realized he had screwed up. It was good to see him committed to showing Jules what he felt for her was real and how much he wanted to make things right. He felt like they were meant to be together and I thought that it was really clear how much he believed that with all his heart. While I can't say how things end, I will tell you that I loved getting to know Dylan better and really getting to understand his character more. If you are a Dylan fan from the previous two installments, you definitely will not want to miss out on this one! If you weren't a Dylan fan before, I think you should still read this one because it really allows you to see him in a completely different light. I can't say enough about this series and why you should read it, but trust me you will not be disappointed by picking these up!

I love the fact that S.L. Scott offers readers the opportunity to choose who Jules ends up with in the remaining installments of her From the Inside Out serial. In Scorned and Jealousy, there doesn’t seem to be a clear frontrunner. Jules’ current relationship with Austin, while not forced, is not one that she seems completely invested in…she’s holding part of herself back and only follows through when she needs to run away from Dylan. Dylan is Jules’ past, but he’s now in her present, hoping to make her see that his colossal mistake doesn’t have to ruin the future they would have had; it’s still within their grasp if she’d only give him the second chance he so desperately wants but undoubtedly doesn’t deserve.

I’ll admit – I’ve been Team Dylan since the end of Jealousy. As much as I wanted to loathe him for his treatment of Jules, he allows readers to see how much he has changed and has prioritized his life for Jules. Don’t get me wrong, I think Jules should make him suffer a bit longer and make him work for everything she gives him, but Dylan Somers is the one who knows her…knows her body…knows her soul…knows her from the inside out, and that’s the kind of man she needs to make her life whole.

Austin is still a fantastic choice, and I can’t wait to read his book to see his and Jules’ alternate ending, but I still feel like Dylan is her choice because regardless of their past and the pain he caused her, she still can’t let him go; she doesn’t know if she can completely let him in again and she knows she shouldn’t want him, but she still does and that speaks to a bond that can never truly be broken despite the years or the heartbreak.

S.L. Scott continues to be one of my favorite writers because her stories are expertly crafted with complex characters and a storyline that keep readers invested until they get the ending they’ve longed for since the beginning. I can’t wait to see what S.L. Scott has for us next.

I am not going to lie. I went in knowing that I was going to purchase both Austin and Dylan. Not because I couldn’t choose but because I was really curious as to how her path would have changed with the man she decided to keep and the one she finally let go of. I am definitely a Team Dylan fan so that is the one I chose to read first and I loved it!

While reading Scorned and Jealousy Dylan might not be everyone’s first, second, or even third pick for Jules but despite that we all have to agree that Dylan is her forever. It was never in question. Jules and Dylan are soul mates. The way they chose to go about that type of relationship was what was going to make or break them.

Dylan messed up and he messed up bad. But what we learn in this installment is that HE is also broken. We get to see more into what Dylan went through and what he put himself through. He might have left Jules but he never really let Juliette go. Dylan spent every minute torturing himself for the way that he hurt her and now he has to pay. He has to work for the happy ending he could’ve had and that ending isn’t even guaranteed. Jules makes him work for every minute he gets to spend with her.

Jules really impressed me in this installment. She grew as a character. She learned to forgive and let go so that she could either move on or get the happy ever after she always wanted. Either way she gives Dylan all of the words she wished she could have four years ago. Both characters got to heal. Now whether it is together or not I am not telling you!

I am a huge S.L. Scott fan and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future! Now I am off to read Austin’s book!

Review of the series

This is a great series. I liked it so much. It is very well written, the covers are super hot, the characters are well developed, even though I was a little annoyed with their hesitant actions throughout the book and I have a new book boyfriend!! When I was reading the first book I was team Austin, but in the middle of book two everything changed. Dylan won me over. He was the right man for Jules. Despite the bad choices he made in the past, he always has been the love of her life.

Book #3: Dylan 5 stars

I am so Team Dylan!!! I love their HEA!!! It wasn't easy for them, but easy isn't the best for a real relationship. I feel bad for Austin, but real love is what happens between Jules and Dylan. They are meant for each other and this was the perfect ending for this series.

I love the part of Brandon in this book. He def is an amazing friend, and despite his need to be judgmental toward this whole situation, he was supportive with Jules, even with Dylan. He even had his happy ending too, I was glad to find out about that.

This book has an element I appreciate so much in love stories, because I always want more. It was great.

I wonder how Austin’s book is, but I decided not to read it, I am so happy with this ending that I will keep it in my heart as it is.

I had to read this completely through.

I just couldn't read this any faster. I had to finish, I had to get through.

Team Dylan...not so much.

I was only able to grasp so much of the plot, since this was the aftermath of Dylan's encounter with Jules and Austin. This was a story of rekindling between old lovers that hurt one another in the past. Of forgiveness and redemption. Although this romance is in very well standing, I could not seem to appreciate as much as I had intended to before reading. My attention was not straying, however, I couldn't not find it as enticing. It was well written, lovely emotions, strongly as well. The one part I found entertaining was when Jules and Dylan encountered Austin once again.

Austin seemed lost, a person without purpose, or to be more exact, without Jules. Dylan had much earnest in his honesty, complete and utter guilt for causing so much for Jules. He grew up nicely, from what I can perceive from this book. Jules was very trusting. An open listener to hear him out after everything that had happened between them. I don't know much or exactly what happened, considering I haven't read anything other than this book.

In the end, time flew by fairly quickly, and watched to usual HEA unfold. Then it was back to the very beginning, their first encounter. I actually thought that was a very nice add-in before the final closing.

Overall, this was an absolute SAP. This is a perfectly great story for readers who like romance regardless of the plot, and regardless of the backdrop.

In an incredibly clever marketing scheme, Ms. Scott has provided two endings for the From the Inside Out series. On one hand you have Dylan, Jules’s ex who jilted her for another after investing years of their lives in each other. Then on the other, you have Austin, the hunky millionaire that pursued Jules for months before she finally relented and gave in to a date with him. I chose Dylan as the guy I wanted Jules to end up with. I’m a sucker for second chances and loved the idea that Dylan had a chance to finally prove to Jules once and for all that he is the one for her.

I won’t give away the ending of this volume, but I will say that Dylan has to work for it. He might not even be guaranteed a happy ending, at least not without having to seriously work for it. I’ll be honest, I also purchased Austin because I love both of these characters so much that it was really hard to decide whom I liked more and who was really deserving of Jules’ attention.

I really liked the idea of the alternate endings. The fact that the price point is at .99, there’s no reason not to purchase both of the books, especially if you’re waffling between the two men like I am. I’m a huge fan of Ms. Scott and this series did not disappoint!

So here’s the thing, for all of book one and book two I was completely team Austin but then I read his ending and well, I was left feeling a bit cold. So I figured I’d see what the alternative was and I have to say, while I still don’t totally love Dylan, I think this was the better ending. It was certainly the better book out of the two, regardless of who you liked. The writing was better, the story flowed and because of their history (which we had time to explore more in the first two books) the story didn’t feel rushed or forced. As much as I hated what Dylan did to Jules and how much I felt like she was a little too quick to take him back, I did find this version a much more believable ending. Both endings followed pretty similar plot points but it was interesting to see how differently they played out based on which guy was involved (like the whole Jean-Luc thing). Anyway, I am glad I ended up reading both endings, I did surprise myself for liking this one more. While I did have some gripes about this series in general, I will say that the ‘pick your own ending’ thing was pretty cool and unique!

Overall Rating :: 3 stars
Series :: Book three (one of two options) of the From the Inside Out series
Hero/Heroine :: Dylan/Juliette
POV :: Alternating.
Cliffhanger :: No.
HEA ::

I was glad to see Dylan and Juliette have their happy ending. It's nice to see that they could surpass the pain from their past, and after the first two books, their ending makes the most sense. Dylan was much more detailed and focused than Austin, as well. Moments were elaborated upon, which gave this installment more depth than the other. Unfortunate for poor Austin, since he deserves happiness more than these two chuckleheads. Overall, not bad, but I enjoyed the back and forth drama from the first two books a bit more.

3.5 stars only because I preferred Austin. Even though the author gives two endings and allows the reader to choose which one they want, I read both and judged which one I like Jules with from that. I think the author essentially wanted Jules with Dylan because this story seemed fuller than the other story but maybe that is because this is deemed book 3 and Austin is book 4. I liked this story but I really didn't see any growth with Jules. I kinda got tired of Dylan saying he was sorry 5o million times and I still don't understand why he did some of the things he did. I also feel even though he says he always loved Jules if it wasn't for the chance meeting he would have never come back into her life. This book had more sexy times than Austin and I liked it but I really wasn't feeling her and Dylan as a couple.

I've been team Dylan the throughout this series, so I've was so excited to finally read this. I really enjoyed this book, I'm so happy that Jules and Dylan got their HEA, but something was missing for me. I'm really not sure what it is, I think it centered around Dylan- I don't know if I just wasn't satisfied with Dylan's reasons for doing what he did, or if I wanted to see him really woo Jules when she wasn't talking to him, etc. I haven't been able to put my finger on it. With that being said, I loved the ending. I loved the wedding and seeing Jules and Dylan start a family. Overall a really good ending to the series!

I usually am not a fan of novellas. There is a point where I even forget what I have read in between them. This novella series had me so pulled in, that I was checking my emails everyday for the next one. I think S.L. Scott did an amazing job with this!!

I have to say I was team Dillon though out the series. Even though he broke Juliet, I still wanted their happily ever after. He was her first and true love. Love like that you can not ever get over.

I a so glad they got their HEA!!

I think it was brilliant that SL let the reader choose who Juliet picked. I kinda want t read Austin, but I wanted it to be Dylan so bad, I don't think I can!!

I chose Dylan for so many reasons. I love the idea that true love can make is through mistakes even the bad ones. Jules picking Dylan would mean forgiveness and second chances. They would have to work out their trust issues for sure, but they could make it. Also Dylan and Jules have a chemistry that is white hot with just a look burning between them is enough to steam up some windows.

I love that SL gave us the same choices that Jules had - Austin or Dylan. Knowing that either way she went there would be a happily ever after for her. I just really wanted it to be with the boy she gave her heart to so many years ago.

I give Dylan 4 hearts!

Happy tears! All is perfect in my world! I have the ending I dreamed of, that I desired! I will play ignorant that this is a choose your own adventure, a sliding door. Team Dylan was the only choice! This was the perfect ending for the perfect story! A true showcase on what a wonderful Author S.L Scott is. A perfect reflection of the creative mind behind this masterpiece! I adored every minute of this adventure. I cried tears of joy as the completion was laid out for me. My heart smiled. I will tell you though …... that I am tempted and curious to read the alternative. S.L is such a wonderful writer, I can only assume I will fall in love with that ending as well.

I thought reading this series will give you an idea as to what will happen if Jules end up with this guy or this guy. It offers you possibility, a chance to look into a life with each guy. Something that most stories denied you. It didn't give you the answer what if she ended with this guy? What would her life be? This series did that. Although upon reading Scorned, I already have an idea who I want Jules to end up with. So I'm a little less inclined to read Austin's POV book (though I still did). But reading this book leaves me warm, fuzzy and gooey feelings. I want to read it over and over again.

I loved this journey that is FROM THE INSIDE OUT! I got hooked into Jules Weston's story with SCORNED and continued through JEALOUSY. I couldn't wait to read DYLAN for more of his story.

This second chance love story with a triangle kept me turning the pages until Jules's choice was revealed. Until I read Dylan, I might have been a little undecided on my choice but not after. Team Dylan always!

SL Scott does a fantastic job with giving us characters that we want to know and twists to keep us reading. I'll definitely pick up another book to read and get lost in.

From the Inside Out has been such a great series.

After reading Jealousy I couldn't wait to see who was going to win Juliette's heart.

I loved reading Dylan's story, it was heartwarming seeing them reconnect.
Loved the ending, so many feels!
Perfect way to end this wonderful series.

Thank you S.L Scott for writing another awesome series, looking forward to reading more from you in the near future.

I love the 2 different endings - I read both. I am Team Dylan. While this book gave me the ending I want, I am not satisfied with the story. It is a nice, neat wrap-up of the story - the HEA I craved. However, it is too smooth of a path for these two.

As I am writing this review after having read Austin, Dylan's story/ending suffered in comparison to Austin's ending. I preferred Austin's ending (story) to Dylan's. This is why I am rating this one a 3 stars.

If you prefer Dylan, the boy who left and returned as a man knowing what he wanted.
Jules lets him work for it, and in the end they´ve got their love back together and a new life.
Great ending, if you can get over the betrayal he put her through. As a woman who´s been through it, I had a bit of trouble reconciling with it, at the same time it´s a dream come through since it´s the one thing you think of when it happens. =) My heart prefered this ending.
